Primaries: Lagos PDP delegates now voting to pick between Agbaje, Doherty

ABOUT 3000 delegates of Lagos State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have commenced voting to pick the party’s governorship candidate for the 2019 poll.

The exercise, which is taking palace at Yard 158, Oregun Road, Lagos, is being conducted by the conducted by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) panel chaired by Senator Victor Kassim Oyofo with members, including Chief (Mrs) Chidi Onyemelukwe (secretary); Alhaji Ibrahim Michika and Mr. Daisi Ogedengbe.

The delegates are to choose between Mr Jimi Agbaje, who was the party’s governorship candidate in the 2015 poll and Engnr. Adedeji Doherty, who also was among the party’s aspirants in the same exercise in 2015.

Delegates were being called into the centre to cast their votes according to their local governments in the presence of monitoring officers from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), amidst tension and tight security offered by security operatives.
