But if Rihanna thought there was a need to tone things down in public there was no sign of it at the O2 Arena last night.
The 23-year-old singer stunned the London audience as she worked her way through a provocative routine.

She initially arrived wearing a bottom-skimming blue jacket but quickly stripped down to a barely-there jewelled bikini, nude fishnets and neon platform boots.

Days later, the singer was warned she would have to cover up if she appeared on The X Factor again, following thousands of complaints over her skimpy outfits on last year’s show.

Earlier in the day Rihanna impressed fans by taking the Tube to her concert.
One fan took a photo of the singer on the city’s Jubilee line and uploaded it on a  photo site.
Along with the picture, fan Lisa Maria O’Keeffe wrote: ‘I met Rihanna on my way home. Told her she was crazy for taking the tube.
She said “Dunno how you guys do it”.’
