Explosion On New Bridge In Makurdi,Traffic Diverted To Old Bridge.

 

A collision between a truck carrying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and a Peugeot 406 has caused an explosion on the new bridge, Makurdi, Benue state, the bridge linking travellers from the Northern part of the Nation to the southern part. The bridge links travellers across the River Benue.

Daily trust confirmed through a resident in the area that the incident occured around 3pm today while the truck was conveying the product.

Security operatives have diverted traffic on the ever busy new bridgeto the old bridge, Northbank, Makurdi. It could not be confirmed if there was any casualty or loss of lives as at the time of Filing this report.
