Suswam's S.A on MDGs Declines Membership Of Chief Samuel Ortom'sGubernatorial Strategy Committee.

Hon Timothy Aikor,Special Assistant to Benue State Governor on MDGs has declined the appointment and membership of Hon Samuel Ortom's Strategy Committee for his 2015 Governorship elections.He was among the 85 members of Ortom's campaign strategy group we posted here last week.

Hon Aikor in a letter he signed and sent to Samuel Ortom declined the membership of that committee because of directive from the Governor who forbids any Aide from serving on Campaign organisations or joining campaign trains.

RE: NOMINATION ON CAMPAIGN STRATEGY COMMITTEE 

I wish to convey my very profound gratitude to the Dr.Samuel Ortom Campaign Organization for finding me worthy to serveon the campaign strategy team. It is also of great honour that having met Dr. Ortom face to face for the first time on 11th Feb.2014, he finds my credentials within this short time relevant to support his team. 

However, i am constrained to oblige this responsibility owing to the fact that,the Benue state peoples Democratic Party [PDP] working committee Guidelines|code of conduct forbids all Aides of the Governor from serving on the campaign team or even joining the convoy of Governorship aspirants. Accordingly,i wish to decline this well deserved honour with utmost respect to the campaign Organization and the person of of the Hon. Minister, Dr Samuel Ortom. 

Further to this, I have copied the secretary to Benue state Government and the chairman, PDP Benue state given the wide publicity this nomination received.
