Can Ambassador Daniel Adzua Nevkar Dislodge Senator George Akume From The Senate In 2015?

As the Senate Minority Leader and Senator representing Benue North-West Senatorial District, Senator Dr. George Akume prepare to return for his 3rd term another prominent contender for Zone B senatorial district has joined the race to dislodge Akume. Ambassador Daniel Adzua Nevkar.

Nevkar declared that the Senate seat is solely an exclusive of the Buruku people come 2015.

Senator Akume has held sway at the Senate since 2007 to date having been gracefully granted a loan for the seat by the Buruku people whose turn it was to benefit from the Benue North-West Senatorial slot based on the existing zoning factor. Ambassador Nevkar, however insisted that the incumbent Senator’s time at the Red Chambers was up and Buruku people are set to retrieve their seat.

The message came just as another group acknowledged with strong followership across the seven Local Governments of the Senatorial zone, Tiv Youth Coalition For-Change (TYCC), recently declared their unflinching support for Ambassador Daniel Nevkar whom they described as the unmatched candidate suited for the forth coming Senatorial District contest.

Nevkar who decried the present position of the Tiv nation in the national realm of politics as unfortunate, blaming Senator Akume’s sojourn into the opposition politics as politics of retrogression and underdevelopment. He recounted the ordeals the Tiv people have suffered from the politics of opposition over the years leading to neglect and absence of meaningful Federal presence on the people.

The University Don stressed that the Tiv nation was better off when their political sage, the Late J.S. Tarka realized his unprofitable parley with Western Nigeria and had to return to the then NPN when he recognized that the destiny of the Tiv nation was only realizable in the mainstream politics of the Nation.

Can he dislodge Sen Akume come in 2015?
