Niger Delta Renaissance Organisation Says Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs Is Better Off As Governor Of Rivers State Come 2015.

The Niger Delta Renaissance Organisation has hailed the transformation strides of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. The group also said Rivers State will be better off with Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs as governor of the state come 2015.
The group made this known in a press statement signed by its Director of Publicity Eddie Tekenah after the well attended zonal rally organized by the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria TAN at the liberation Stadium Port Harcourt.

The group said despite the security challenges faced in the country today, President Jonathan has achieved a lot in infrastructural and human capital development. The group said Jonathan must be supported to continue his good works which is yielding fruits. It said it will be wrong to kick against his bid for reelection because it will send wrong signals as far as equity and justice is concerned.

The group also praised Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs for his mobilization effort in the rally and his distribution of sanitisers at the venue of the rally. The group said Rivers state needs a better person to run the state stressing that Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs has all it takes to govern the state and make it a major economic hub not only in the country but in the West Africa sub region. It concurred with Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs’ statement that the President has brought down inflation by 40 % and has won the confidence of the World Bank. The group said it believes that with Chief Dumo in the helms of affairs in Rivers state, he will replicate such feat in the state especially considering his corporate background.

The Niger Delta Renaissance while thanking the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria TAN for the rally urged all Niger Delta people to shun enemies of the region masquerading as progressives in the opposition party and support the Peoples Democratic Party as well as President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan come 2015.

It condemned the antics of the opposition to discourage people from attending the rally by attempting to use the ebola scare as propaganda. ‘’we consider it dangerous and evil for people to use a disease as dreadful as the ebola virus as a political propaganda to discourage people from attending the rally. This must be condemned. We praise the efforts of all those that defied this threat by turning up en mass for the rally. It goes a long way to show the acceptability of the PDP and President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan by the people of the region’’. The statement added.
