Alueshima

ALUESHIMA BRIDGET UTSAHA, a physician since 2010, has distinguished herself in the areas of HIV/AIDS and child survival, working in urban and rural health facilities in northcentral Nigeria. 


She is the deputy reproductive health coordinator at the Benue State Ministry of Health, and is involved in the implementation of health programs centered on integrated management of neo-natal and childhood illnesses and safe motherhood.


Alueshima is the secretary of the state technical team on malaria in pregnancy, a community medical volunteer, and a musical director. She is fluent in English, French, Tiv, and Hausa. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Maiduguri, and holds a certificate in Public Health Management from the West African Health Organization, Burkina Faso.

After her fellowship, she will advocate for policies on child survival and primary health care strengthening, while sharing her skills with colleagues and students.
