Benue State Police Command Parades Lady Armed Robber And Others ForArmed Robbery In Aliade Benue State.






A suspected female car snatcher was among three other males paraded by the Benue State Police Command for armed robbery and stealing of a Lexus jeep from a hotel in Alaide area of the state.

Ngufan Nyebe allegedly conspired with three other men to commit the crime which they are being held for by the police and would be charged to court after investigations are concluded.

She was said to have been arrested alongside members of her gang which include, Kelvin Jorhom, Ornginu Tukpa and Akpan Hyuwe all of various addresses at Katsina Ala town in the state.
State Commissioner of Police, Hyacinth Dagala explained that on July, 16, his men received information that a gang of armed men in a Lexus jeep were planning to launch attack in some areas in Kastina-Ala.

Dagala said that SARS operatives on patrol within the town were immediately alerted and that during the course of their patrol, intercepted the said ash colour jeep with registration number KWL 102 AS Abuja and brought it to the station.

He added that during investigation, it was revealed that the car was stolen from a hotel in Alaide part of the state which led to the apprehension of the suspects.

According to the commissioner, investigation into the matter is in progress and the suspects would be charged to court soon.

Answering questions from Daily Trust, the female suspect denied that she was a car snatcher after admitting that the stolen jeep belonged to her friend and that she took it away without permission.
"The Lexus jeep belongs to my friend. I took it away from Alaide without her permission," Nyebe said.
