Report reaching me from Gboko this evening says my friend and classmate Lorenz Bajah was in the afternoon today, around 2pm assaulted and brutally manhandled by alleged political thugs suspected to be loyal to the APC at the News stand at the Bristow roundabout Gboko.
According to Bajah, he visited the News vendor to read today's papers when a certain SA to the Executive Governor of Benue state and the Treasurer, Konshisha L.G.C. also came around as the SA does once in a while. In the course of interaction with other free readers, guys numbering over 10 approached the venue and one pointed at him saying, "this is the guy writing things against government on Facebook" and they pounced on him beating him up mercilessly. Even after some sympathizers and men of good conscience tried hard and rescued him from the hands of these violent men, they promised to come after him again, some other time.
He was left with severe injuries from the beat up and has already filed a report at the Central police station Gboko.
He is at the moment receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital in Gboko.
At the moment, the major mastermind of this ungodly act has not been identified yet except the violent thugs that executed it.
During the recent general election, Lorenz Bajah for his firm belief in giving the minority ethnic groups equal leadership rights as the major tribes threw his weight behind the candidature of Goodluck Jonathan and he embarked on vigorous campaigns using the group, 'Goodluck Jonathan Youth Vanguard' where he served as the National President.
Just like everyone who believes in a course, he has remained consistent in his preference for GEJ as a better candidate even several months after the former president has left Aso Villa.
It is really disheartening that some young men today cannot engage each other objectively about their political and ideological differences, resorting to Violence of this nature even in a democratic government like ours. This is a condemnable act that must be rejected by all. The state government must as a matter of urgency bring every act of thuggery to book to discourage others and purge the polity of this menace that has over the years become a norm in our political space. Lorenz Friend.

We condemn this totally, this is not why we voted Change in Nigeria.
Yesterday some people insulted me for raising a pressing issue on Facebook,i simply expressed my mind over a certain amount of money that some civil servants were asked to pay ,i was expecting a proper explanation but to my greatest shock i received insults ,anyway,i will never be deterred i will continue to speak out especially on issues affecting poor Nigerians till we get answers.
