Benue Gov Ortom Reiterates His Commitment To Safeguard Lives And Properties.
Governor Ortom gave the assurance when the Commanding Officer, 72 Special Forces Batallion, Col. Muhammad Nura Inuwa visited him at the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi.He recalled the agelong cordial relationship between the military and civilians in the state, commended the critical role being played by officers and men of the military in ensuring security.Governor Ortom results the readiness of his administration to assist all security formations in the state to double their efforts.He said the amnesty programme of his administration had yielded positive results as hundreds of youths had surrendered their arms and were. being rehabilitated.Earlier, the Commanding Officer, 72 Special Forces Batallion, Col. Muhammadu Nura Inuwa, said he had been briefed about the existing efforts made by Governor Ortom to guarantee security in all parts of the state.Col. Inuwa pledged to continue from where his predecessor left in complementing the security initiatives and thanked the Governor for the support so far given the military.
