Olympic Gold Medalist Picabo Street Arrested For Allegedly AssaultingHer Father.
Late December, Olympian Picabo Street was arrested for assault after allegedly getting into a physical fight with her father, Roland Street, in Park City, Utah.According to reports, the 76-year-old was trying to leave his daughter's residence when he "bumped his car into the house". This triggered a fight between him and the gold medalist.
Back in the house, the alpine ski racer allegedly grabbed her father's neck and shoulders, pushed him down two flight of stairs, and locked him in the basement.
After calling authorities, the retired athlete told cops that she indeed pushed her dad down the stairs, adding that he pulled her hair.
This incident occurred in front of Picabo's three children.
Ultimately, the 44-year-old was charged with one count of assault and three counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child. Each charge is deemed a misdemeanor, which can lead to a maximum jail sentence of six months.
According to Roland's attorney, Ivy Telles :
"We haven't met with Ms. Street's attorneys yet, so as far as any resolution to the case there hasn't been any discussions but we are prepared to offer a plea deal at the next scheduled court hearing."
She is due in court on February 16.
We just hope justice is brought down on anyone who breaks the law!
