Taiwan Builds First High Heel Shaped Church.
Local officials in the Taiwan city of Jiayi have decided to build a church in the shape of a giant blue high heel. They believe the flashy structure will lure women to the house of worship. Totally makes sense.
It’s unclear as to what type of church it is, but that doesn’t matter. Women will be attracted to it like a moth to a flame. According to Huanqiu.com (via Daily Mail), there will be a a total of 100 female-themed features inside of the structure — 71 of which have been completed. These include chairs for “lovers,” maple leaves, biscuits and cakes. I don’t know about you, but nothing makes my ovaries smile more than a maple leaf.
The church is made of 320 pieces of blue glass and measures 55 feet tall and 36 feet wide. It is scheduled to open on February 8, just in time for Chinese New Year. Honestly, this looks like an elaborate scheme from my mom. She’s bought me red high-heel salt and pepper shakers and a nail polish holder in the shape of a giant shoe before. If this were a Catholic church I’d be suspicious.
