Catholice Secretariat of Nigeria announces the death of Bishop Emeritus of Makurdi,Most Rev Athanasius Usuh.

The Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria has announced the dead of the Bishop Emeritus of Makurdi, Most Rev. Athanasius Usuh who passed on this morning, 14th July, 2016 after a protracted illness.

According to Fr Ralph Madu,the Secretary Gen of the Cath Secretariat, burial arrangements will be communicated to you in due course.

Bishop Emeritus Reverend Athanasius Atule Usuh was born to the family of the late Pa Joseph Usuh Anachi and Mama Edna Hilemo Usuh of Mbatyough, Mbagen in Buruku local government area of Benue State on 2nd May 1942 His mother gave birth to eleven children, bishop Usuh was the second born. All of whom are now deceased except for the bishop and his younger brother, Emmanuel Ishosen Usuh.{Read more about him here Bishop Usuh}
