Hundreds of passengers have been evacuated from Manchester Airport amid reports of a suspicious package.



Holidaymakers were cleared from the check-in area inside terminal 2 this evening after a package was found outside the building, it has been reported.

A spokesman for the airport confirmed the departure area has been evacuated but would not comment on reports of a suspicious package.
