Benue SUBEB to prosecute over 300 contractors for mistaking contracts for political settlement and abandoning their sites.

The Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Benue State, Dr. Philip Tachin, has said that over 300 contractors would soon be handed over to the police for prosecution, for collecting mobilisation fees from the board for construction/ rehabilitation of primary schools, and absconding thereafter.

Tachin in an interview with The Guardian, expressed disappointment over the lackadaisical attitude of affected contractors for mistaking the contracts award for political settlement, and warned that defaulters would no longer be spared under the administration of Governor Samuel Ortom.
