Little boy with Hydrocephalus successfully undergoes Surgery in Abuja.

Remember the little from Benue with Hydrocephalus FabmimiBlog was soliciting assistance for ,same boy appeared on Humanitarian Ukan Kurugh's wall.

Mr Kurugh took to Facebook to beg  Nigerians to assist the little boy and his family and according to him,some philanthropists responded to his call.

Good news, Oryiman has undergone a successful surgery at National Hospital Abuja,this is an update from Ukan .

All things they say, work together unto good for those who believe in God. This may have been applicable to the experience of Mr. & Mrs. Shie Philip as their one year old only child Oryiman Philip who is suffering hydrocephalus has successfully undergone a 3 hour 30 minutes  surgery session at the National Hospital, Abuja today.

This surgery became possible with the financial contributions of philanthropists known and unknown across the world over. In a call that came in through Mr. Ihula Goodman Johnpaul , whom I sent with them to aid them through the process, he explained that, the surgery which lasted for almost 4 hours was done by a team of 3 expert neuro-surgeons .

According to Paul, the doctors who briefed them after the operation revealed that a shunt (thin pipe) was inserted into the brain that would convey the cerebral spinal  fluid (CSF) from the brain to be passed out as urine and expressed optimism that in 4 days interval, the head will begin to deplete gradually until it finally goes down completely.

It was however surprising that, when brought out of the theatre, I was made to understand little Oryiman was awake and looked normal and healthy and didn't even cry or show signs of pain. He is at the time of this report resting at the recovery room of the ward where the surgery was carried out.

My joy knows no bounds and I am certain, all who saw his plight will be excited by this fortunate medical development. Indeed we give all glory to God for his love. I greatly appreciate all those who have made financial commitments on this cause, those who have kept faith in prayers and those who have stood by the humble family morally.
