N750m FRAUD: Benue Speaker Ikyange, Adanyi, Others Kept By EFCC
Benue state House of Assembly Speaker, Terkimbi Ikyange, his Deputy, James Okefe, Majority Leader, Benjamin Adanyi are at the moment, special guests of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

It would be recalled that the EFCC had invited the trio along with seven other APC lawmakers to answer questions in regards to the fraud of N750m said to be car loan.

Information from the Falomo street, Wuse Zone II has it that the speaker who appeared to the anti-graft agency’s office Monday was asked not to go as his explanation was grossly lagging in factuality.

James Okefe, the deputy Speaker is said to have selectively purchase vehicles for some select members especially those of the ruling APC ignoring those from the PDP.

He however, after sharing the remaining funds with the MAIN team in the house, Okefe allegedly prepared payment vouchers covering all members where he used fake chassis numbers against names of the members who were denied the cars.

It would be recalled that Ortom since assumption of office has been consistently claiming to be “God’s sent” to Benue who abhors corruption. Yet, after the Governor received bailout and took loans, corruption started reigning supreme in his government as confirmed by the ICPC over bailout and now the EFCC.
