Gov Ortom pledges to resuscitate and complete projects during his tenure.





Governor Samuel Ortom today
pledged to resuscitate and complete  projects during his tenure. He disclosed this as he moved round the town to inspect ongoing projects, drainages and flood-prone areas in Makurdi, the state capital.
He was accompanied by members of the State Executive Council.
The Governor visited the Schools of Nursing and Midwifery, where he inspected the supply of furniture and construction of new hostel and office blocks.



He directed the commissioner of Finance to ensure the payment of the money required for the visit of the Nursing and Midwifery councils for accreditation purposes.
Along Naka road he directed the demolition of a fence constructed on water channel and the construction of a channel at the Industrial Layout to drain into the river. 

He inspected flood-prone areas along Ishaya Bakut and Otukpo roads, Wurukum market and Gyado Villa as well as the land opposite the New International Market. 

Other projects which he inspected included the renovation at the Primary Health Care Board building and the Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation as well as the new Deputy Governor's office complex.
Governor Ortom visited the Makurdi Beach road started by Governor Moses Adasu and pledged to resuscitate and complete the project during his tenure.

He also inspected collapsed drainages and refuse dumps in North Bank where he gave directives that they be reconstructed and the refuse evacuated from the dumps throughout the city.
The Governor reiterated his appeal that blocked drainages be reopened and those in flood-prone areas should relocate.
