Speaking at the wedding of Jane and Achimugu, Reverend Father Matthew Kukah in his sermon observed that though the wedding was meant to have held on the 18th of December 2010, it was shifted to yesterday because of the death of Jane’s mother who was buried on the 17th of December, adding that nonetheless, the event still remained a thing of joy because of his great conviction that the spirit of her mother was present at the event.
He traced the prevalent causes of divorce and its high incidence in different countries saying that the couple should make God the focus in order to have a good marriage.
Kukah said that there was the need for the wife to respect her husband and for the husband to love the wife, adding that the couple has a responsibility to ensure that their marriage succeeds.
The wedding of Akunyili’s son, Edozie also witnessed a full church attendance with a lot of serving member of the executive in attendance as well as Prof. Akunyili’s political supporters who came in different buses to the venue.

Almost all the roads leading to the Church were blocked by the heavy traffic caused by the unusually large number of guests that came from different States of the country for the two separate events.
