Witches deploy 500 members to Abuja for president Jonathan’s inauguration

Click for Full Image Size

According to its national co-ordinator, Dr Okhue Iboi, the decision was taken after an emergency meeting at Zuma rock, Niger State. WITZAN also warned President Goodluck Jonathan to take adequate security as bad people and disgruntled politicians are planning to cause problems.

Iboi, however, disclosed that the nation would soon have a respite from the people currently throwing bombs all over the places as they would be exposed: “We are going to expose those sponsoring bomb blasts in the country after May 29. They have been caged already. We are going to use our power to cause them to come out and confess their misdeeds. Nigerians would be surprised at how the saboteurs would be exposed.”

He said it was revealed to the witches as far back as last year that no other candidate except Jonathan would rule the nation. The association which also predicted the failure of both former military president Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida and vice president Atiku Abubakar in their presidential quests also disclosed that Jonathan would serve his four-year tenure at the end of which Nigerians would be begging him to go for another term because he has been chosen by God to lead the nation.

Iboi, however, warned Jonathan to beware of sycophants, while warning the incoming ministers and advisers to co-operate with the president and discharge their duties with dedication. The witches warned former Head of State, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) to stop wasting his time pursuing the presidency:

“Buhari should stop wasting his time because his time is past. He can never rule the nation again. His time is gone.” The incoming National Assembly will deliver. This is the time Nigerians will know that they have real legislators.
“Some people look at us as if we are evil minded people. Not all witches are bad. Our own type of witchcraft is progressive. We are willing to intervene in the affairs of the country anytime the government decides to seek our counsel. We have the solutions to bring lasting peace to the country. Witches and wizards in the country are ready to help restore Nigeria’s lost glory.

“We saw June 12 crisis long before it happened and we warned the late Chief M.K.O. Abiola but he ignored us. Abiola would have been Nigeria’s president but some of us decided to punish him over the role he played in scuttling the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo presidential ambition. We warned him not to waste his time and life. This was reported in some national dailies. We also dealt with the late General Sani Abacha for the execution of the late Ken Saro-Wiwa.”

PDP Rejects Proff.Dora Akunyili For Ministerial Position.

Click for Full Image Size
Dora Akunyili
The political woes of Dr. Dora Akunyili, former Minister, Information and Communication continues , as the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has vehemently rejected her nomination by the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA for a Ministerial position.

Sources within the PDP told Pointblanknews.com that Akunyili is considered as “a big betrayal” having dumped the party and afterwards made uncomplimentary remarks about the PDP.

Akunyili had said her husband, Dr. Chike Akunyili, forced her to quit the PDP. She said development at a meeting in Awka in 2010 where hoodlums had used teargas canisters infuriated her husband who demanded she quit the ruling party.

“There and then, my husband asked me to choose between my marriage to him and attending PDP meetings,” she said.

The former Minister had said in contrast with the situation in the PDP in Anambra State, APGA was fostering peace and unity, fostered by the Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi.

But now, Akunyili is bent on returning to the PDP through her nomination by APGA for a ministerial position in the PDP controlled Government of President Jonathan.

Akunyili used her contacts to prevail on first lady, Dame Patient Goodluck Jonathan to lobby President Goodluck Jonathan for reconsideration into the expected new cabinet. The former Information and Communications Minister was sighted at the last Presidential retreat in Obudu where she was alleged to have “begged for a ministerial job.”

Pointblanknews.com learnt that APGA has been pushing for her candidacy, insisting that she remains a nominee of the Party in an expected alliance with the PDP. Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State and leader of APGA was alleged to have personally made a case for her at the Presidency.

But party sources told Pointblanknews.com that gone are the days of Akunyili in any Government formed by the PDP as she is not considered relevant for any ministerial job.

“How can she return back again to our Government after all those remarks she made when she was leaving. The PDP she left made her what she is today. But instead of her showing gratitude, she left claiming that the PDP is peopled with thugs, she castigated the party and today she wants to come back under APGA.”

According to the PDP source who would not want to be named “if APGA is really interested in this Government, they should bring someone else and not Akunyili because she is not and will never be loyal whether she is coming from APGA or returning to PDP. We would do everything possible to frustrate her nomination even if it goes to the Senate.”

As at the time of going to press, Pointblanknews.com gathered the President Jonathan is still facing an intense lobby from both pro and anti Akunyili.

Ugbah's Family Pleads With American Senators To Put Pressure On Nigerian Government To End Violence Against Proff Ugba.

.
A professor at Cal State East Bay was released from prison Tuesday after being arrested in his native Nigeria where he had returned to run for a governorship.
Steven Ugbah's wife Stevina Evuleocha said her husband called Monday night saying he'd been arrested by police in Nigeria.Ugbah -- a professor of Marketing at Cal State East Bay -- had gone on leave in December to campaign in his homeland for the governorship of Benue State. Evuleocha, also a Cal State professor, said she and her family were worried because the arrest comes after a string of attacks."Throughout the campaign there were all kinds of things including being on a hit list," said EvuleochaUgbah lost the race despite having a 76 percent to 19 percent lead in the polls going into the April election. Evuleocha said he filed a fraud complaint with the election tribunal. On May 13th, Ugbah's convoy was ambushed by gunmen. A childhood friend of his was killed in the attack. Supporters believe it was assassination attempt meant for Ugbah who was riding in a similar car."In essence that's what the guy did is take the bullets for him," said Evuleocha.Ugbah's cousin David Unongo said the Cal State professor felt passionate about going back to Nigeria to try and end malaria and AIDS while improving health care and education. "That is why Steven gave this beautiful Bay Area up. To go and deal with that," said Unongo.Ugbah's family hopes people will encourage Senator Boxer, Senator Feinstein and other officials to put pressure on Nigeria to end the violence against Professor Ugbah.

Sesame Street, Nigerian-Style On NTA.

Diaspora (Nigeria). Sesame Street will always be one of those shows that no matter what age you are, you can remember the time when it was your television show of choice. Watching Big Bird and Co. teach you all about your ABCs and 123s is a memory that we all share. And now, children all over Nigeria will be able to have those same fond memories, Nigerian style of course. It will be called Sesame Square, and  along with our faithful cast of characters, the Nigerian counterpart will feature a cabbie named Zobi, who is obessed with yams (Cookie Monster’s Nigerian equivalent, we would venture to guess) and furry five-year-old puppet named Kami, who is HIV-positive. Teaching kids about the disease, as well as others such as malaria will be a cornerstone of the show. Read more about the debut here. Do you think Sesame Street will be a hit in Africa?
