PDP Endorses Jonathan,Warns Govs & State Officials Not To Endorse Any Candidate For Any Elective Office.

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday warned state governors and other elected party officials to desist from endorsing candidates for any elective office or face the wrath of the party.

PDP, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, said that only its National Executive Committee, NEC, can officially endorse a candidate under the PDP constitution.
It said: “The NWC has noted the activities of some persons and groups supporting some aspirants for the 2015 general election at the state level.

Whilst the party cannot stop individuals, groups or communities from endorsing persons of their choice, the national leadership wishes to restate in the strongest possible terms that elected party officials at the state, local government and ward levels must not be involved in such, as they must remain as unbiased umpires in the nomination process.

“For the avoidance of doubt, only the NEC, as an organ of the party can officially endorse a candidate under the PDP constitution. All party officials at all levels are expected to be guided by this.”

Just over the weekend, Enugu State PDP stakeholders, led by the state governor, Sullivan Chime, endorsed a member of the House of Representatives as the party’s candidate in the February 2015 general election.

PDP also said following the release of its detailed guidelines for congresses and primaries for the 2015 general elections, closing date for the sale of party nomination forms is October 30.
Metuh said: “All aspirants are therefore advised to adhere strictly to this directive as the party shall not extend the sales beyond this date.

“The NWC urges all aspirants to carefully study the guidelines and party’s code of conduct for elections and ensure that they conduct their campaigns accordingly, as the PDP shall not condone any aberration or abuse of its internal electoral process.”

Court Strikes Out Case Against Reporter Who Reffered To AIG Mbu As "Controversial".

A senior magistrates’ court in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja on Friday, discharged a reporter for the African Independent Television, AIT, Amaechi Anakwue, in a case of alleged character defamation brought against him by the Nigeria Police Force.
Mr. Anakwe was detained Thursday morning after he reported at the Zone 7 police headquarters in Abuja, on the invitation of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, in charge of the Zone, Joseph Mbu
His discharge by the magistrate, Anthony Ogboi, was sequel to an application by the prosecution to withdraw the case from court.
Mr. Anakwue, 40, was alleged to have referred to Mr. Mbu, as “controversial” in a programme broadcast on AIT.
In discharging the journalist, Judge Ogboi said that the case had been struck out and ordered the accused not be arrested for the same offence again.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Chijioke Okeizie, had applied for withdrawal of the matter without mentioning the First Information Report, FIR, in open court.
He told the court that the reason for the withdrawal of the case was “best known to the nominal complainant.”
At that, counsel to Mr. Anakwue, Nwoke Kalu, prayed the court to grant the accused protection against further arrest on the same offence.
The magistrate granted the withdrawal application and plea of the accused and discharged him accordingly.

“That’s why I’m here to pay homage,” Mr. Mark said.

It is a rescue mission; we must take our country back from mismanagement.”
He stated that Nigeria did not have good leaders. “They are clueless, while the followers appear sadistic. We like being punished,” he said.

Eid El Kabir|Senate President Mark Charges Nigerians To Be Their Brothers Keeper.Click To Read His Message.

Senate President Senator David Mark has again reminded Nigerians of the inevitability of maintaining a harmonious relationship with one another irrespective of ethnic or religious affiliations.
This he said is the needed elixir for maintaining peace , unity  and progress in the country .

In a goodwill message to Nigerians signed by Paul Mumeh, Chief Press Secretary to the President of the Senate to mark this year's Sallah, Senator Mark noted that there is no problem too difficult for the nation to overcome if we unite and maintain the sanctity of our brother hood.

He stated that issue of insecurity could easily be tackled if "We confront it with a single purpose , honestly and unwavering commitment." Government has all it takes to tackle this problem but government cannot make the needed impact if the people fail to cooperate. It requires all the arsenal and good will of the citizens to fight.

"Senator Mark added that the National Assembly will continue to play its role by providing the necessary legislative frame work for the executive arm of government to operate.

On the 2015 general elections, Senator Mark reiterated that the nation should not be turned into a battle field in the desperation to clinch political offices.  " For me  being in politics is a call for service and I believe this is thinking of every reasonable politician. So our politics should not be a war fare. It is a game for service.

We must play it according to the rules. We must be sportsmen and women at all times".He stressed that the 1999 constitution and the electoral Act as amended provided the needed rules for the game as well as enough sanctions for offenders  .
He cautioned against violation of the law.Senator  Mark commended Nigerians for remaining steadfast in spite of challenges, saying that government policies and programmes must be channelled towards meeting the needs of the people.

I just got this and i cant stop laughing, its really funny and cracking my ribs.Almost everyone has heard the gist about the crack in the Celebrity marriage between Mavin first lady Tiwa savage and frontline producer and her former manager Tunji “TeeBillz” Balogun and its been on the pages of entertainment blogs, gossip sites and social media lately.

Some bloggers especially FNN and other media houses have been doing everything possible to get an official confirmation of what is going on from both parties or either of the two Nigerian celebrities.

One of the correspondents ran into TeeBillz yesterday and asked for an interview but he refused to speak in detail about the development.

After the correspondent remained persistent in getting answers, TeeBillz curtly said:
“Oh! You are asking me what the problem is?! as if you all don’t know already, now no one seems to remember ‘Doro na Tiwa…..Doro is a shareful giver’, go and ask DoroTiwa what the problem is and leave me alone”

Please oh dear FMBlog readers, take the dictionary into their own hands and try to explain what “shareful giver” means, but wait or TeeBillz and maybe the MAVIN crew to explain it at a later date, though we won’t be surprised if your guess is as good as ours.

ISIS Threatens To Send Ebola-Infected Muslims Into U.S. To Spread Virus & Kill Americans

As ISIS continues their relentless spree of terror on the United States in response to America’s participation in the war on their organization, the latest round of threats even has some U.S. parents removing their children from school in fear of an Ebola outbreak.via Shoebat ISIS threatened the United States, and the allies to spread the Ebola virus, within those states, if it continues to wage war on the organization inside Syria and Iraq.

ISIS explained that among the viruses that its members can “synthesize and produce” are “Ebola and Corona”. ISIS also said, followers and soldiers of the Islamic State are mostly suicide bombers and all of them are ready not only to carry Ebola, but to drink Ebola if they were asked to carry and spread it in the United States.

This is not difficult but we need a decision from the leaders jihadist.Ebola could easily be transmitted through bodily fluids, including sweat, tears, saliva, blood, urine, semen, etc., including objects that have come in contact with bodily fluids (such as bed sheets, clothing, and needles) and corpses.

It is said that “this disease will go airborne, and there are many other mechanisms through which mutation might make it much more transmissible.”However, Jack Chow, service professor of global health at Carnegie Mellon University, says that by the time a would be martyr came to America, the symptoms of ebola would be conspicuously displayed on his person, and he would be too sick to get passed customs.Stay woke, folks.

NHRC Chairman Prof Chidi Odinkalu Condemns CAN President's Excessive Security Agents, Calls It "Right Of Impunity".

OritsejaforThe Chairman, Governing Council of the National Human Rights Commission, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, has described as excessive the number of security agents attached to the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor.

He wondered why the CAN president would move about with a large number of security operatives, whom he alleged oppressed motorists. The human rights crusader said this during a lecture at a youth-based forum titled, ‘The Platform Nigeria,’ convened by Pastor Poju Oyemade of the Covenant Christian Centre in Lagos, on Wednesday. The topic of the lecture which was televised live onChannels Television, on Wednesday, was “Saying no to the right to impunity.”He said, “I was driving on the road one day when I saw a large number of policemen and civil defence (Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps) in a convoy.

I thought it was a governor or President that was passing by because the security operatives pushed my vehicle aside.“I was surprised to discover that it was the president of CAN and I even tweeted about it the other day.”He said it was unfortunate that motorists were being oppressed by those in power and those who ought to be on the side of the masses.

Odinkalu said Nigeria’s style of politics and the nonchalant attitude of the masses were to blame for the country’s decay. He said the country would do better if it shunned ethnicity

.“Today almost every state government would want Alhaji Aliko Dangote to invest and pay tax to it. However, the moment Dangote says he wants to run as a senator, they will ask him if he is an indigene. This should not be so. I am happy that Lagos is different in this regard,” he said.

He said the Nigerian culture encouraged impunity and corruption, urging Nigerians to stop worshipping political office holders.“Why do you call them Excellency or honourable? Call them governor, call them senator.

It is called public service. If there is no public, there will be no service,” he stressed. He said it was unfortunate that even as the country marked its independence, many towns had been seized by terrorists.

Odinkalu further berated the Federal Government for failing to send a delegation to visit prominent Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, whose three sons were killed by soldiers in an extra-judicial manner. However, when our correspondent called Oritsejafor on the telephone, the CAN president said he had no response to Odinkalu.“Please I don’t know what you’re talking about, I have nothing to say,” he said.
