Coco Again In Another Scandalous Picture Shot Out.

Unfortunately for Ice-T, one of Coco Austin's fans posted a pic of her in an uncompromising position and it had her feeling some kind of way.
Coco Austin is famous for her suggestive pics, but the recent release of a few shots of her in a suggestive pose with another man is poking holes in the brand that she and Ice-T have created on "Ice Loves Coco."
We've already heard that Coco denies hooking up with rapper A-9, but the plot thickens.  It turns out that A-9 is friends with a man named Moose Diesel, who's the former manager of ARIA Resort & Casino’s Haze Nightclub. A-9 claims he invited Coco and a few of her Peep Show pals and reality tv crew members out to party at the club and the pair later hooked up.

Nigeria First Lady Rushed To Germany.

alt

Nigeria's First Lady, Patience Jonathan, has been flown out to Germany on another emergency.
This development comes less than 24 hours after we  told you that  she was billed to depart for Spain to attend to her health.
Medical sources in Abuja said Mrs. Jonathan had to be flown out earlier than expected due to new health concerns overnight. The urgent nature of her departure for Germany led to cancellation of her appearance at a presidential event 6:00 PM where the present hosted foreign Ambassadors to Nigeria.
There is no official word from the presidency regarding her trip and her principal media aide Ayo Osinlu told SaharaReporters by phone that he couldn't tell of her movements because he was not in Abuja at the moment.
In August 2012, Mrs. Jonathan was airlifted to Wiesbaden, Germany, where she spent several weeks for an undisclosed ailment.
The presidency did not confirm her condition or whereabouts. She returned to Nigeria on October 14, and denied having been hospitalized in Germany, or for a terminal condition.
"I don't even know that hospital they are talking about," she said. "I do not have any terminal illness or cosmetic surgery."

EFCC Arrests Aides Of Nigerian Billionaire, Folorunsho Alakija For Fraud

alt

An aide of Mrs Folorunsho Alakija, Chief Executive Officer, The Rose of Sharon, a Non-Governmental Organization, Mr Vincent Ayewah and six others have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in a case of abuse of office, conspiracy, forgery, impersonation and theft of N3million (Three million naira only).
Their arrest was the sequel to a petition by Alakija, alleging that Vincent, one of her employees fraudulently misappropriated the funds meant for the beneficiaries of the foundation's empowerment scheme. She alleged that he impersonated and stole various cheques and withdrew monies meant for orphans and widows in care of the Foundation.
Vincent allegedly forged cheques of the Foundation's Stanbic IBTC Bank Account and got one Miss Florence Ayewah and their friends to cash the forged cheques by presenting them with fake identity cards.
In the course of investigation, it was discovered that Vincent used his position to enlist his family members as beneficiaries of the scheme. Specifically, the Foundation had been able to prove his mother who is a widow in a petty trade and was paying the school fees of his sister, Florence Ayewah who is a student of Lagos City Polytechnic.
Vincent confessed that he fell for the scam due to his poor upbringing and being the only bread winner of his family. He admitted that when cheques are ready for some beneficiaries of the Foundation, "I divert them and get my siblings and friends to cash at banks, I also arrange ID cards bearing the name on cheques with their faces on it for bank clearance". Florence was arrested at a Stanbic IBTC bank in Lagos while trying to cash a forged Cheque number 03378 in the sum of N97, 000 in favour of one Ms Olubunmi Juliana Ishola
Besides Vincent, six other members of the syndicate involved in the scam and who have also been arrested are George Ehizibolo, Onwuwa David, Okonkwo Chikadibia, Emmanuel Ayewah, Florence Ayewah and Chinyere Awanah
Vincent admitted having at, various times, sent his younger sister, Florence and her friend Chinyere and his younger brother Emmanuel to banks with fake identity cards. He also admitted having acquired a Honda Accord car with registration number: UA 845 AAA from the proceeds of crime.
The suspects will be arraigned in court soon.

Another Woman Raped & Hanged In India

Just a day after six men were arrested for raping yet another Indian woman on a bus, a 45-year-old mother of four was found hanging from a tree in what police are suspecting was also a case of sexual assault. The woman, who was found half-naked, was hanging from a tree in a mango orchard in the Bhagalpur district. In a sad twist of events, the woman was hung by her sari, the piece of cloth that traditionally drapes Indian clothing to represent the woman's grace. Police also suspect that the attack was carried out by more than one person.
“It is a tragedy but at the same time I am not particularly surprised,” Manpreet Singh Badal, a former finance minister of Punjab, who has started his own political party, said in a phone interview today. “Until men fear the law then these types of crime are going to continue.”
This is the third rape case to cause outrage in India, prompting a call on government to crack down on sex crimes. These incidents should not be a common occurrence. These horrific events shouldn't even be tolerated at all. We're hoping the police find the perpetrators.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's baby is due in July, St James's Palace has announced. The duchess's condition was continuing to improve following her stay in hospital last month for severe morning sickness, a spokesman for the couple said.
Kate is believed to be 13-14 weeks pregnant, and confirmation of the birth month means it is likely she has had her 12-week scan.
"Their royal highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July," a St James's Palace spokesman said. "The duchess's condition continues to improve since her stay in hospital last month."
The update offers further confirmation that Kate is expecting just one baby. There had been speculation that she might be carrying twins.
The duchess is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, which causes severe vomiting during pregnancy and is more often experienced by women expecting twins. The condition is most common in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy and often eases off in the second trimester.
The duchess was last seen in public on Friday when she visited the National Portrait Gallery in London with William for the unveiling of her first official portrait

Woman, Set Ablaze By Jealous Husband, Needs Help.

Odhegba

Four months after 39-year-old Janet Odhegba was set on fire by her jealous husband, Kehinde Adesanmoye, in Ikotun, Lagos State, she has yet to fully recover from the burns she sustained after the incident.
At the moment, paying her medical bills is a great challenge.
Adesanmoye had on September 11, 2012, around 10pm allegedly poured petrol on Odhegba and set her ablaze at the Ikotun Roundabout, Lagos, where she worked as a food vendor.
Adesanmoye is currently facing criminal charges before an Ejigbo Magistrate's Court.
Odhegba allegedly drew the ire of Adesanmoye the previous day after taking a wine offered to her by one of her male customers at a party where he (Adesanmoye) also attended.
The victim said her relations and community association members who had hitherto contributed money for her medical treatment said they could no longer afford to foot her medical bills.
She said they were contemplating an out-of-court settlement with Adesanmoye so that he could take responsibility for her treatment.
Odhegba said, "Life has not been the same with me since the incident I suffered in the hands of my estranged husband and I have yet to fully recover.
"More worrisome is the fact that my relations and my township association members are mounting pressure on me to embrace an out-of-court settlement with him.
"This is premised on the fact that they have been stretched to the limit in terms of assisting me financially. They have really tried because I don't know if I would have survived it without their help.
"But, I don't like the idea of the settlement because I really want him to face the full wrath of the law for the inhumane treatment and assault he meted out to me."
According to a medical report signed by Dr. Kupoluyi Oluwatobi, the medical officer-in-charge of the private hospital where she was being treated, Odhegba needs to undergo a "split skin grafting by a plastic surgeon for complete wound healing."
Odhegba said since she was discharged from the hospital because of her inability to pay the bills, adding that she had been using different traditional methods to aid the healing process.
She said, "I now adopt traditional methods for treating the wounds based on advice since I cannot afford hospital bills.
"The wound on my left hand has made my muscles to go stiff and I can no longer hold things.
"Apart from the skin grafting, doctors have also recommended that a team of physiotherapists need to work on me for the purpose of rehabilitation. I wish Nigerians could help me so that I won't be forced to withdraw the case on lack of finance."
Her mother, Mary, said she had spent everything she had to make her daughter normal again.
"I have sold all my property back in my village in Ozoro, Delta State. Since I moved to Lagos to oversee her welfare, all the crops I cultivated to earn a living have been completely destroyed. There is no source of getting money from anywhere again," she lamented.

Matters Arising From Forbes Ranking Of Nigeria As The 20th Saddest Nation In The World

Last week Forbes Magazine, listed Nigeria as number 20 in countries with some of the world's saddest people, as usual the reasons were not farfetched, poor leadership, corruption, inability to do this and that...
Very quickly commentators were quick to mourn and moan; how did we decline so fast, from the once happiest, to now amongst the saddest. Is it Jonathan and the sea of clueless from North to South, or are the 'subsidians' responsible, is it corruption unlimited, or the fact that farmers may start using blackberry phones to ping prices of commodity.
Why are we suddenly a sad nation, judging by the fact that when we were the happiest, we also were amongst the most corrupt. So my fellow Nigerians I seek to know how this 'Forbes people' do this their thing on global development index.
Only last year our beloved nation was adjudged worst place to be   born. We also moved significantly up according to some African Insurance forum in 'Kidnap for ransom arrangement'. We are never far away from all these very 'negative awards', now we have entered the list of sad people.
Before I conclude on our sad status, I first sought out the meaning of 'Sad' or what 'Sadness' meant. Sad: Causing sorrow or gloom; depressing: a sad movie; sad news. Deplorable; sorry: a sad state of affairs; a sad excuse. It is a Feeling or showing sorrow; unhappy. Causing or characterized by sorrow or regret; unfortunate and regrettable
Sadness itself is emotional pain associated with, or characterized by feelings of disadvantage, loss, despair, helplessness and sorrow. These feelings of certain things are usually negative. When one is sad, people often become less outspoken, less energetic, and emotional. Crying is often, but not necessarily, an indication of sadness.
Sadness can be viewed as a temporary lowering of mood, whereas depression is more chronic. Sadness is one of Paul Ekman's "six basic emotions"happy, sad, angry, surprised, afraid, and disgusted".
With the above, I will just make a few comments, admonishing us to reflect on our nation. In the Forbes list, it was an index of nation's with sad people, that included countries like Chad, a nation we even given aid to, it included Afghanistan, a per minute bomb nation. How can and how did they compare us to Togo, Central African Republic or Republic of Congo or is it Zimbabweans, I did not know Angolans were sad, off course citizens of Iraq, Yemen and Sudan cannot be too happy and except for cricket how can Pakistanis be happy.
My verdict is simple. Nigerians are happy, we are still high up there in the index of happy people, very and I add very happy people.  A people kidnapped, robbed, bombed, week in, week out. And yet thanksgiving services with dances of all types and executions follow suit.  We are happy jare…
We remain a proud people, joyous in nature, never put down by 'little' setbacks. Visit a state where workers were owed seven months salaries on a Saturday, you see women and girls adorned in expensive glittering 'aso-ebis'. Thousands spent on event planners/transport/comperes and more.
We are happy people, we love to party and forget that 'Forbes list': it's false, this is 2013, we have continued in our happy nature unabated. We provide all kinds of shoes for those who need it, and give another term to those who fail, besides, what has the opposition got to offer, than plenty noise.
We attend 'suna' (naming ceremonies) and' igba nkwo' (traditional   wedding) and 'oku' (funeral party) of the same leaders we accuse of looting us dry.
We are happy people, the only people who after being used, abused, misused are tortured with the flamboyance, and ostentatious living and all we do is admire them and cling to hope—after all, 'my turn will soon come'.
Happy people: very few countries can live the way we do, weeks without light because power transformer is bad, yet you pay bills. Fuel stations have no commodity yet opposite those stations, young men sell same fuel at hyper-black prices.
We are sad people, when the thief who is looting is from the otherside, but when it's from our town, we use the phrase "he is helping our people". And because the stealing is everywhere, we all, are happy.
'Forbes list ko, Forbes list ni' tell that to the birds--we bribe   the police and accuse them of taking bribes. We don't really pay   electricity tariffs yet we say 'there's no light', when actually it's a case of Aso Rock owe PHCN, PHCN owes gas company, that one owes staffs, the staff is in debt of school fees, rent and utility. We are happy people jare.
Maybe if Forbes had said we top the 'grumblers' list, no arguments. Maybe we complain most, that's true, yes maybe amongst nations with most problems. But that Nigerians are sad...that I disagree totally.
People who pay in recruitment scams in the police, immigration, army, civil service et al cannot be sad.
A nation that has bribes for admission scams, or money for marks in schools scams. Rent without house agent frauds. Pension fraud, electoral fraud, where girls date six guys simultaneously and men date five women including their secretary, wife's best friend and driver's wife and nothing happens...cannot be an unhappy nation.
How many suicides can be traced to spirited men that were tired of the system and called it quits--fact is we kill to be happy because in Nigeria happiness is it. We steal to be happy because that's the real deal. We want to be happy not because we are sad but because we want a status quo.
We want change, but don't want to change, and are weary of change. Common, a Nigerian adage says an erect penis has no conscience. Nigerians are not sad, if almost 2billion can disappear from the Minting and Security Company, no single arrest, no outrage, we are happy, if we really are sad, it is not the Forbes list that will tell...only time will tell.

The list of saddest countries on earth is dominated by African and Asian countries and the top 20 are: Central African Republic (1st), Republic of Congo (2nd),Afghanistan (3rd), Chad (4th), Haiti (5th), Burundi (6th), Togo (7th), Zimbabwe (8th), Yemen (9th), Ethopia (10th), Pakistan (11th), Iraq (12th), Liberia, (13th), Angola (14th), Sierra Leone (15th) Guinea (16th),Ivory Coast (17th), Sudan (18th), Mozambique (19th) and Nigeria in 20th position.

We need funds not phones, farmers tell FG.

Chairman, Poultry Farmers Association of Nigeria, Mr. John Olateru

Farmers across the country have criticised the plan by the Federal Government to distribute mobile phones to 10 million farmers.
They described it as a misplaced priority.
Some of them who spoke to SUNDAY PUNCH said they needed access to funds instead.
A member of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria in Delta State, Dr. John Akwara, said phones do not appear on the list of priorities of an average Nigerian farmer.
He said, "What we need are funds not phones. We also need to see some sincerity in the people who are in the ministry of agriculture because they are fond of 'cornering' things meant for farmers for their personal use.
"If government really wants to help farmers, they should help us with better access to funds. Some of us need funds to set up our farms and others need funds to expand. Bank interest rates are too high; average farmers can't get loans from banks. So, government should make sure we get these funds."
Akwara added that government's intervention funds for agriculture never got to farmers because politicians and civil servants 'hijacked' them.
"All the money government approves for agriculture does not get to farmers. Politicians and those in the ministry of agriculture end up being the beneficiaries. For example here in Delta State, they use some funds approved for farmers to empower political thugs. They told them to form a cooperative society and once they did, the money was allocated to them in the name of farmers," he said.
Another farmer in Ogun State, Mr. Omotayo Omotayo, described the idea of giving phones to farmers as unnecessary since most farmers already own mobile phones and have been using them to connect with their market.
She said, "I don't think buying mobile phones for farmers is important. There is hardly any serious farmer that does not have a phone or a means of communicating with his or her customers.
"The idea doesn't hold water because, at least here in Ogun State, we have the Agricultural Development Programme. They usually go into the rural areas to educate farmers on new farming techniques. So, I don't think farmers need to receive such information on mobile phones."
Omotayo, who is the Managing Director of Duke's Farm, Ijebu-Ode, said the government should buy farm implements for farmers instead.
According to another farmer, who is a member of the Catfish Farmers Forum, Benjamin Samson, government should give out loans to farmers instead.
"Phones have become very cheap. So, any farmer that needs a phone can buy it. What we want is for government to give us loans," he said.
