Nigerian Idols Starts On Sunday.

As the Nigerian Idol starts airing this Sunday November 21 are multi-talented entertainer, Yinka Davies; CEO of Chocolate City, Audu Maikori and American dancer and singer, Jeffery Daniel are going to be the judges.

These music enthusiasts tactically selected from different fields in the music industry will be responsible for judging and critiquing the performances of the contestants right from auditions to the show proper.

Apart from evaluating their performances they will also be advising them on how to make their act better.

For six weeks, the judges visited Enugu, Abuja, Calabar and Lagos looking for talents, taking up professionals, discarding the talentless and commending the exceptionally talented ones

Idol judges since inception have been known to give accurate and sometimes stinging appraisals on the performances of the contestants; creating intrigues and drama for home entertainment, while helping the talents be the best they can be

In most cases, the judges' evaluation of contestants' performances has tilted public opinion. Most Nigerians are familiar with Idol Judges like Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Ellen DeGeneres, Pete Waterman, Nicki Chapman and Neil "DR" Fox. Now get ready to meet Maikori, Daniel and Davies as Nigerian Idol goes on air from this weekend.

For the first time ever, Maikori, Daniel and Davies will take up positions as judges of Nigerian Idol and play their trusted role in commenting on the performances of this year's contestants while helping the
wannabes be the best they can be.

Victoria Beckham Prefers Men With No Clothes On

With one of the world's hottest men as her husband, designing suits for the opposite sex may seem like a logical next step for Victoria Beckham, but the designer begs to differ. "I'm not really that interested, at the moment, in men's clothes," Posh told the International Herald Tribune's fashion editor Suzy Menkes at the 10th anniversary of the publication's Heritage Luxury Conference in London, before admitting that yes, men do in fact look better with their clothes off. Beckham, who has successfully launched five lines since 2009 and is currently up for a British Fashion Award, says creating clothes for the opposite sex would be difficult. "How on earth, as a male, do you design dresses for women?" she said. "Because how I work is I actually put the dresses on myself. And I won't disclose any of their answers but quite a few of my male friends have actually said they do put the dresses on themselves." And just in case Posh changes her mind and does decide to venture into menswear, she knows husband David Beckham would be the perfect male mannequin. But for now, she said, his role is to just look good, because "that's what he does."

Stop Calling Nigeria. " Naija".

It is very offensive to call Nigeria Naija. The Government is making plans to write companies to stop using the word Naija.I have heard the name Naija in adverts,I want them to go back and remove that word.If anybody says Naija ask them where is Naija,we have to put a stop to this word because it is catching up with the young. If we don't put a stop to its usage now,it will continue to project us wrongly. . . . . . . . . . . . .Minister Of Information 0and Communication Proff. Publicist shot to death after walking 'Burlesque' red carpet

Longtime Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen was gunned down on Sunset Boulevard early Tuesday, just minutes after she left a star-studded party to celebrate the premiere of the movie "Burlesque," police said.

Chasen, 64, died when "multiple shots" were fired into her Mercedes seconds after she drove past the posh Beverly Hills Hotel on her way home, according to Beverly Hill Police Sgt. Lincoln Hoshino.

Police found her car crashed into a light pole after responding to a report of gunfire heard near the intersection of Sunset and Whittier Drive at 12:20 a.m. (3:20 a.m. ET), Police Sgt. Robert Maycott said.

Chasen died later at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, according to Lt. Fred Corral, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner.

Detectives searched Chasen's West Los Angeles home and her public relations firm for clues Tuesday, but Hoshino called it "a wide open investigation." They have no suspects or motive for the attack, he said.

Warren, who was Chasen's celebrity client, called the killing senseless.

"They didn't steal anything," she said. "Her purse was still there."

Chasen had been on the red carpet at Grauman's Chinese Theatre walking with Warren as she and "Burlesque" star Cher were interviewed about the music in the film.

Warren, who contributed a song to the movie's soundtrack, said Chasen also went with her to the after-party at Hollywood's W Hotel.

"I am devastated beyond belief," Warren said. "I can't believe this. I can't believe this."

Michael Levine, head of Levine Communications Office, called Chasen a "beloved, iconic figure."

Levine, who said he has known Chasen for 25 years, has started a reward fund with a goal of raising $25,000 by next week.

"We must do everything possible to assist the Beverly Hills police in solving this horrific crime," Levine said. "Ronni gave the utmost for her clients and this industry."

Hollywood celebrity public relations is "like a small family," said Edward Lozzi, who operates a small Beverly Hills firm.

Chasen was a "class act" and "the ultimate professional," Lozzi said.

Chasen was "so good promoting great films," and had special talent for creating pre-Oscar buzz for her acting clients, publicist Steve Jaffe said

As beauty writers, we're always trying to bring you the beauty tips, hairstyle trends, makeup how-tos and the like. That means interviewing boatloads of beauty experts. These fine men and women are celebrity hairstylists, makeup artists, skin care aficionados and doctors that lend their industry know-how to our stories by sharing beauty secrets -- the tips and tricks they have learned on the job and have found to be the most useful.

To be honest though, we hear so many beauty tips through our constant interviewing and testing of tools and products, that some fall by the wayside or never make it into a story. That’s fine for the lackluster tips (i.e. wash your face twice a day), but it is not fine for the really smart tips. The beauty tips that are so great, they deserve to be mined out and brought to their proper light -- those diamond-in-the-rough type beauty tips.

Some of these tips are classic and have been imparted upon us from generations of women past, friends, and even through the celebrity grapevine. Though many are from the glorious beauty experts mentioned above, and some are even tried and true things we have learned ourselves over the many years of primping and prodding our way through our own beauty careers (some spanning more than 10 years). They come from being on the front lines of it all (well, of the runway and red carpet, that is). They are the ah-ha tricks we swear by.
