Kaduna State Govt Uncovers N1.3b Pension Scam






A fraudulent pension scheme that cost N1.3 billion annually has been discovered by the Kaduna state government.
According to The Sun, the spokesperson to Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Samuel Aruwan said in a statement that the discovery of the pension racket was made during a recently conducted verification exercise of pensioners in the state.

Nigerian Arrested In Vietnam For Defiling 15-Year Old




A 35-year-old Nigerian man was arrested by police in Binh Duong province in southern Vietnam on Tuesday, October 6, for allegedly having sex with a minor.
According to Thanh Nien Daily, Ewuzie Emeka Emmanuel asked a 15-year-old Vietnamese girl in his neighborhood to come into his room on Saturday, October 3, there he flirted with her and asked for her phone number.

My Nomination Came As A Surprise – Fayemi



A former governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, said on Tuesday that his nomination as a minister by President Muhammadu Buhari came as a surprise.
The ex-governor said he didn’t anticipate his inclusion in the President’s ministerial list.
He told journalists at the All Progress Congress (APC) National Secretariat that although he was with President Buhari till about 4:00pm on the day the list was submitted to the Senate President, the President never mentioned it to him that he was being considered for appointment.

The Election Petition Tribunal siting in Makurdi, the Benue State capital will Tuesday, give its verdict on a case filled before it by Comrade Daniel Onjeh.
Onjeh, who was candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Benue South Senatorial District during the last election, had approached the tribunal seeking the annulment of the election, which the immediate past Senate President, David Mark won.
