T.B Joshua Predicts That Super Eagles Will Defeat Burkina Faso At AFCON 2013 Finals On Sunday.

The General Overseer of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, says Nigeria's Super Eagles would defeat Burkina Faso in Sunday's final of the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
T.B. Joshua, who warned Eagles' coach, Stephen Keshi to avoid conceding a late minute goal in their AFCON Group C opener against the Burkinabe, told P.M.NEWS that Nigeria's case in the Nations Cup final this year is like the biblical Jacob who wrestled with God, saying that "on Sunday we'll tell God unless He gives us our heart's desire we'll not let Him go.
"The cloud is darker over Nigeria's Super Eagles, but with God we'll scale through. If it were not to be the final, anything could have happened. The first match we played with Burkina Faso, it was just by the grace of God that it ended in a draw.
"On Sunday, our opponents will play defensively because they will be looking out for penalty shootout at the end of the game. They will also play through three of their strikers upfront; one of them very tall and huge player and two others.
"What I'm seeing I don't want to say it because it would be too frightening, but I want to assure that we'll scale through the challenge on Sunday."
The prophet who established a football club, My People FC to groom young players, however, warned the Eagles not to allow Burkina Faso to score first in the final, saying that "if this happened the Burkinabe would fall back to defend the goal, which will be very dangerous for our team. I still repeat that no matter the situation, we'll scale through.
"The Burkina Faso that we played in the group stage will not be the same team we'll play on Sunday, even though some of their players are out of the squad due to injuries. They are still a team. But I hope for celebration."
Joshua said as the giant of Africa, Nigeria last won the Nations Cup 13 years ago, which was too long ago for a great football nation like Nigeria.
"I think God should give us this cup to make the youths of this country happy. Winning this cup at this time of religious intolerance and violence will calm down the youths. I want to appeal to all Nigerians to pray for Eagles' victory. I would have told you the scoreline but I would rather delay it till Sunday morning in order not psychologically distract the players and their coaches and not to demoralise the losing team."
Prophet Joshua concluded that he would not want Keshi and his team to come to his church to celebrate their victory after the match because he is not the only one praying for the Eagles to win.
"My voice may be the one louder among the men of God in the country but this doesn't mean that the team should come to my church to celebrate. I would rather prefer that they celebrate their victory with all Nigerians," he said.

Egyptians Rebuke Prime Minister Over “Unclean Breasts” Remark

The Egyptian Prime Minister is being criticised for his comment.
Egypt's Prime Minister faces accusations of being out of touch with the country's crisis after televised comments blaming rural infant sickness on mothers not washing their breasts.
Hisham Kandil, a former irrigation minister widely seen as a stolid technocrat, was speaking at a meeting with journalists broadcast on state television this week when he veered into a ramble on the "miseries" of life in rural Egypt.
"In my work, I've gone around the countryside," he said. "There are villages in Egypt, in the 21st century, where children get diarrhea … because the mothers, who nurse them, out of ignorance, do not maintain personal cleanliness of their breasts."
Recalling a visit to the Beni Suef area south of Cairo in 2004, he spoke of the dire conditions of village life.
"There's no water, there's no sewerage," he said. "The men go to the mosque … the women go down to the fields and get raped."
He appeared to be responding to complaints about a series of attacks and rapes of political activists in Cairo in recent weeks, citing the case of a man who was caught on video being beaten and dragged naked by police.
"I don't know Hamada (Saber), well, I know him like you do, but I am 99 per cent sure he doesn't pay his electricity bill," the prime minister said of the victim of that videoed beating.
His remarks unleashed a storm of criticism, much of it reflecting a sense of economic and political malaise that has settled over the country since an uprising two years ago that toppled veteran autocratic president, Hosni Mubarak.
Dina Abdel Fattah, a talk show host on the independent Tahrir channel, questioned why the head of government had dwelt on the subject when Egypt was in a state of "darkness".
At least 59 people died in 10 days of protests that started late last month over what demonstrators see as Islamist President Mohamed Morsi's attempts to monopolise power as well as broader economic and political grievances.
"Imagine. Our prime minister is talking about this today, when we have martyrs in the street, we have people getting killed every day, when we have entire provinces in a state of unrest," Abdel Fattah said on her show.
Another television channel, Al Nahar, interviewed residents of Beni Suef voicing dismay at Kandil's comments.
"It's no good the prime minister talking this nonsense about women, good people, clean people, and ignoring all the other problems of the world," one man said on the programme.
Since his election in June, Mr. Morsi, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, has struggled to restore security and revive the ailing economy.
Small demonstrations continued on Friday, drawing thousands of protesters in Cairo and other cities including Tanta in the Nile Delta and Port Said on the Suez Canal.
Critics questioned Mr. Morsi's appointment of Kandil in July, saying it was unclear whether he had the political or economic experience for the job.
"Instead of making offensive comments about poor village women and laying blame on them when God knows they are already suffering, he should be blaming himself.
"He should blame himself for the failure of his government to find a proper solution to alleviate
poverty, illiteracy and awful health schemes in villages," said Iman Mahmoud, a 61-year-old housewife in Cairo.

Developing Stories.Enugu State Governor Returns Back To Nigeria.

Reports just reaching us disclosed that Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State who has been out of the country for over three months is back to Nigeria. According to a RAYPOWER FM Lagos reporter, the ailing governor of Enugu State Sullivan Chime arrived Nigeria this morning, he is presently in Abuja and is expected to arrive Enugu tomorrow.

It would be recalled that Gov. Chime, who had been out of the country since September 19, 2012, had in a letter to the state's Assembly said he was travelling abroad on a consolidated annual leave.

T.B Joshua Behind Super Eagles Performance At The AFCON 2013.

Top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation have conveyed their deep-rooted appreciation to Prophet T.B. Joshua of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations for what they described as his special support for the national team, Super Eagles leading up to Sunday's 2-1 defeat of the hitherto dreaded star-studded Elephants of Ivory Coast in the quarter-finals of the on-going Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
Prior to the epic encounter on Sunday in Rustenburg, South Africa, the Super Eagles were merely given an outside chance to prevail over the Elephants who were loaded to the brim with superstar players including Didier Drogba and Yaya Toure.
But Stephen Keshi's team who went into the game as underdogs, stunned the world including with a magnificent display of amazing skills, grit and team play, to edge their West African neighbours out of the tournament at the quarter-finals stage.
Apparently on cloud nine, Nigeria Football Federation top brass and Coordinator of the Super Eagles, Emmanuel Atta was lavish with encomiums on Prophet T.B. Joshua for what he described as "his wonderful role in the 2-1 defeat of Ivory Coast".
Moments after the encounter, Attah sent out sms text messages to The "Synagogue Man of God" thanking him for standing solidly behind the Eagles in the game against Ivory Coast.
"We're very appreciateive of him. He was wonderful and we can't thank him enough," Attah screamed excitedly.
"T.B. Joshua was fervent in his prayers for the team. We observed all that he asked us to do, starting from a day before the game. This is a special victory for the team and the nation and we cannot thank God enough."
Attah also expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support and prayers for the senior national team. He assured that with more of such support, the Eagles will continue to work hard in order to make Nigerians happy.

Singer, actress and reality star Toni Braxton hinted on "The Tom Joyner Morning Show" that she might be retiring from the music scene. BUT...she later backtracked.  Find out why Toni threatened to leave the industry and what made Willow Smith really drop out of the "Annie" remake inside....

Toni Braxton, who's staring in the Lifetime film Twist Of Faith this month, called into "The Tom Joyner Morning Show" to promote her upcoming film and made a shocking disclosure about her future.  She told Tom,

"I don't know if I'm going to be doing anymore music, I've said that before in the past but I don't know…"

She continued,

"I'm thinking, I'm singing in the movie. Ta-Da. Some gospel a little bit. I just don't know. Maybe I'm mad at music. I don't know what it is. I can't, my heart's not in it right now."

Tom and Sybil Wilkes (his co-host) asked Toni if record companies had stopped returning her calls and if that had affected her negative mood and she said,

"Not even that. They're actually calling and I'm like well 'I don't know if I want to do another record' but that's a blessing I guess but I gotta be in it, I gotta love it and maybe because everything that has happened to me I don't know."

We all know that Toni's days atop the charts seem like a footnote of the 90s.  And coupled with her financial challenges, it's not hard to see why she might want to focus on television and movies.

But when pressed by Tom to say if she was retiring or quitting the business for good, she cleared it up and said, "No, I'm not trying to do that."
Hmmm....we guess the "Braxton Family Values" star had a change of heart during the course of the interview.  In the meantime, Twist of Fate will premiere on Saturday, February 9, at 8pm ET/PT on Lifetime and fans can her Toni singing during the film.

PETA((People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Angry With Beyonce For Using Iguana And Python Skin To Perform At The SuperBowl.

While Beyonce twirled and twerked her way to an electrifying SuperBowl halftime show this past Sunday, she managed to piss off PETA once they got an eyeful of her performance outfit.

Not everybody was as pleased as punch to watch Beyonce shut down the SuperBowl halftime show stage in New Orleans.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) found out that the "Love On Top" singer's black lace & leather performance outfit was made of Iguana and python skin.  So, of course, they're pissed.

The company gave a statement to E! News saying she should watch their cruelty to animals video, and her outfit missed the mark on humane vegan options:

"We would take a bet that if Beyoncé watched our video exposés...she'd probably not want to be seen again in anything made of snakes, lizards, rabbits, or other animals who died painfully....Today's fashions are trending toward humane vegan options, and Beyoncé's Super Bowl outfit missed the mark on that score."

Beyonce nor her team has responded and are likely paying PETA no mind.  And we doubt they will.  Especially when she had her Christian Dior mink dragging on the floor just last month at the Presidential Inauguration.  Wonder if they're mad about her mink eyelashes too.
