The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) has ordered all its serving officers to declare their assets, The Nation has learnt.
The directive came just as the service retired 29 senior officers in addition to five others whose voluntary retirements were announced on Thursday.

Family Discovers A 4ft Python Living In Their Bathroom Cupboard.



A shocked family had a nasty surprise when they discovered a large python had been living in their bathroom cupboard.

They had no idea how the uninvited house guest had gained entry into the flat or how long it had been there before it was spotted.
It measured around 4ft long and the family videoed it when it wrapped itself around a towel rack and stretched up to the ceiling.

Benue State Govt Introduces TSA In 23 Local Govts



                                           
    

The Benue State Government has introduced a Treasury Single Account (TSA) for the 23 local government areas. Governor Samuel Ortom spoke yesterday on the accounting system at a stakeholders' forum in Makurdi, the state capital. The governor said the decision to run a single account for the councils was meant to stop the diversion of local government funds and sustain his administration's drive for transparency and accountability. Ortom said he had directed labour unions to be involved in the disbursement of the bailout funds for the payment of salary arrears of state and local government workers.
Also, former Governor George Akume has hailed Ortom for his administration's plans develop the state. The former governor urged the government to make education its priority.
An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Senator Barnabas Gemade, praised the Ortom administration for ensuring accountability in governance towards the state's economic recovery. Other speakers at the forum included House of Assembly's Speaker Terkimbi Kyange and the former Deputy Governor Steven Lawani.
