Drogba Announces Retirement From International Football.

Chelsea FC striker Dider Drogba has announced his retirement from international football after almost 12 years of service with the Ivory Coast national team. The 36-year-old, who took his international bow in September 2002 against South Africa, scored a record 65 goals in 104 appearances for the ‘Elephants’. Drogba said: “It is with much sadness that I have decided to retire from international football.” The two-time Caf Player of the year (2006 and 2012) captained Cote d’Ivoire to their second Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) final berth, scoring a vital match-winning goal in the country’s semi-final elimination of Nigeria. Didier Drogba Fends Off the Challenges of Greece Defender Konstantinos Manolas During Ivory Coast’s Final Group Game at the 2014 World Cup. Getty Image. He inspired the West African nation to their first-ever Fifa World Cup appearance in Germany eight years ago- and grabbed the nation’s maiden tournament goal as well- before making two more subsequent appearances. “I am very proud to have been captain of this team for eight years and to have contributed to placing my country on the world stage of football, taking part in three World Cups and two African Cup of Nations finals,” the Abidjan-born footballer added. “I cannot convey enough thanks to the fans for all the love and support during these years. All my goals, all my caps, all our victories are for you. Drogba missed a crucial penalty in the final of the 2012 Afcon championship in Libreville, Gabon, which forever remains a nightmare in the football icon’s folklore, as Cote d’Ivoire failed to add to their 1992 triumph in Senegal. That, coupled with his inability to lay his hands on the Afcon trophy or fly the country’s flag in the knock-out stage of the World Cup, after three attempts, counts amongst his misfortunes. Nonetheless, he is the first and only African footballer so far to have won the prestigious Golden Foot, leaving a permanent mould of his footprint on “The Champions Promenade” on the seafront of the Principality of Monaco in 2013 while playing for Galatasaray. The ex-Galatasraay and Marseille striker earned his 100th cap in the build-up to this summer’s World Cup in Brazil in a warm-up friendly win over Bosnia-Hercegovina and scored a penalty as well. His several substitutes appearances at the mundial proper strengthened the coach Sabri Lamouchi’s side but proved insufficient, as Ivory Coast bowed out in the group stage for the third successive time. “I also owe much gratitude to my team-mates – the players with whom I have shared all these emotions and I wish you all much success for the future and a very warm welcome to the new manager (Herve Renard),” said Drogba. The striker re-signed a one-year deal with Chelsea a fortnight ago, returning for a second spell after winning ten trophies at the Stamford Bridge outfit between 2004 and 2012. His 34 goals in European competitions remain a Chelsea record, as do his nine strikes in nine cup finals. he is also responsible for the champions League-winning spot-kick which sealed a first-ever European Cup for the Blues in the summer of 2012.

#Ebola:But is it ok to put regular table salt into a bath for a salt water bath ?

Gudmorn all ... I woke this morning with the news that I should use salt in my water for bathing and brushing .... To prevent Ebola disease from spreading like wild fire..

I don't know where this message originated from.
Ok.
But is it ok to put regular table salt into a bath for a salt water bath or do i need to use a special bath salt? Because i feel Table salt has iodine added to it and because they found most people were not getting enough iodine in their diet.  I don't know
how good/bad that would be for our skin.
"Bath salts" are more akin to "epsom
salts".Table salt is Sodium Choride.  If you look at a periodic table of elements, anything in the same column as "sodium" combined with anything in the same column as "choride" is a "Salt".  Sodium
Floride is a salt.  So its not true that "salt is salt".  The salt they use to melt the ice on roads in the winter is very different from what you put on your french fries.

So should i just use any salt without benefits?

US Rejects Nigeria's Request For Trial Ebola Drug.

The United States of America, yesterday, dashed the hope of an early cure for Ebola Virus victims in Nigeria when it refused to share the trial drug with Nigeria. US President Barak Obama says it would be premature to share the experimental drug with Africa. The Federal Government had earlier reached out to the United States Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC, in Atlanta, to request for the drug for treatment of EVD affected persons in Nigeria, but President Obama turned down the request, saying it would be far more beneficial to focus on prevention instead. Nigeria recorded its first Ebola Virus disease fatality on Tuesday when one of the nurses who was one of the primary contacts of the American-Liberian, Patrick Sawyer, passed on. The doctor who treated Sawyer, who died in the country after flying into Lagos, is now ill with Ebola and six other primary contacts are currently ill with the disease in a Lagos hospital where they are quarantined. Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu and Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku had disclosed on Wednesday after the Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja that the Federal Government was awaiting the response of the request it made to the CDC on Tuesday. Addressing the 50 African leaders at the US-African Summit in Washington, President Obama stated that it is “premature” to send an experimental medicine for the treatment of Ebola to West Africa, as he lacked enough information to approve the drug that was already being used on two American aid workers whose conditions were said to have improved by varying degrees. “We’ve got to let the science guide us and I don’t think all the information is in on whether this drug is helpful. The Ebola virus, both currently and in the past, is controllable if you have a strong public health infrastructure in place. “The countries affected are the first to admit that what’s happened here is the public health systems have been overwhelmed. They weren’t able to identify and then isolate cases quickly enough. “As a consequence, it spread more rapidly than has been typical with the periodic Ebola outbreaks that occurred previously,” he remarked. It might be fairer to say that outbreaks in the DR Congo and Uganda were containable because the cases were in remote regions and couldn't travel far, not because those countries have "strong public health infrastructure." Still, it's probably wise not to treat ZMapp as a miracle cure, and especially wise not to treat Ebola patients as experimental animals. Under the excellent conditions in Atlanta, even the two American cases treated with the drug may not owe their improvement to it.
