Or we are vexing that she's portraying young ladies to be quite loose? Everyone should wait till 
marriage before having sex ba? Oh! She didn't even think of the backlash, her future, her family!

Globacom Drops Ramsey Noah, Rita Dominic, Uche Jombo, Other Ambassadors.

The Telecoms giant Globacom today, dropped some of their Nollywood ambassadors after signing new ambassadors from the Nigerian music genre.Those who were dropped include Ramsey Noah, Rita Dominic, Mike Ezuruonye, Monalisa Chinda, Nonso Diobi, Uche Jombo and Odunlade Adekola.These four, Chioma Chukwuka, Ini Edo, Funke Akindele and Desmond Elliot remain were left so they still remain Glo ambassadors for now.

Those who were dropped have been told to go to the legal department of Globacom to pick up a letter, terminating their contract with the telecoms company.
Some have picked up their letters while others are yet to do so.

21 Year Old Woman Beats 3 Year Old Girl To Death For Vomitting And Defecating On Herself.

A 21-year-old woman, Rebecca Bassey, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly beating her husband’s three-year-old niece, Deborah Bassey, to death.
According to police authorities, the suspect beat up the girl because she vomited and defecated on herself.
A police source told PUNCH Metro on Thursday  that the incident occurred at Ijaiye Ojokoro area of the state on July 22, 2013.
He said:

 “The victim (Deborah) lost her mother in 2010. Early this year, Deborah’s father was evicted from his home and he decided to send Deborah and his second child to go and stay with his brother, Vincent, until he settles down.
“Deborah and her nine-year-old sister were living with Vincent and his wife, Rebecca, in a one-room apartment at Powerline, Jankara, Ijaiye Ojokoro. However, Rebecca was always maltreating the two children.”
According to police investigations, on the day of the incident,   Deborah woke up around 5.30am with a high temperature.
The three-year-old girl was said to have started vomiting and defecating soon after. 
This was said to have angered Rebecca, who instead of administering treatment to the child, decided to beat her up.

Committee To Spend N100 Billion For Varsities.

Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Needs Assessment for Nigerian Universities and governor of Benue state, Gabriel Suswam has constituted an adhoc committee saddled with the task of coming up with plans of expending N100 billion on infrastructure development in Nigerian universities.

The sub-committee, to be chaired by the Executive Secretary of Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), will look up to areas of students hostels, lecture theatres, laboratories and other important projects in universities.

A statement from the Benue state liaison office in Abuja and signed by the Assistant Director Information, Orduen Dura further stated that such projects to be undertaken are expected to reposition the university system in the country.

According to the statement, the sub-committee members were drawn up from NUC, FMC, National Planning Commission, ASUU, USPF as well as NITDA, with the Principal Secretary of the governor as the secretary of the committee.

They are expected to report back to the main committee on August 11th, when it will meet again.

The National Council of Catholic Women Organisation of Nigeria on Thursday warned against the alarming drop of male-child in education.

With the drop, the group noted that in the next 10 years, there would be a scarcity of quality husbands in the country.

 The organisation National President, Chief Felicia Onyeabo, stated this on Thursday at a briefing to herald the inauguration of Cor Mariae College, Abuja. The inauguration holds on Friday (today).

She said, “The future of this country is going to be very bleak for the male-child. How many girls do you see hawking clothes? Go to Onitsha, they are all men. We have looked round and have come to see that there is a neglect of boys in education. Who are the armed robbers on the streets?  They are mostly the boys. Let us concentrate on training boys.

“The NCCWO feels that a vacuum is being created, and very soon, we shall be faced with a situation where our educated girl-child will not find a corresponding suitable boy-child to marry. This is because more boys drop out of school, apparently because the high rate of unemployed youth discourages our young boys from appreciating the need to be educated.

“The NCCWO also consideres the fact that in the near future, quality husbands will become extremely scarce, with too many highly educated women looking for husbands, and settling for anyhow husbands, just to get married. The result of this type of situation is better imagined and will not augur well for Nigerians.

So all you single ladies get your man now.

Miss Africa Contestant Found Stabbed To Death Next To Her Crying Daughter.

A young model was found stabbed to death with her three-year old-daughter 'crying next to her in a pool of blood', friends said today.

The body of Linah Keza, 29, understood to have taken part in Miss Africa 2010, was found at a flat in King Edward Road, Leyton, early yesterday morning.

She is believed to have had a panic button installed by police.

The case has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, which will look at contact police had with her and a 38-year-old man who has been arrested over her death. 

London Ambulance Service paramedics accompanied police to the address just before 4.30am, but Linah, a Rwandan national living in London, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is understood that her daughter was at the address at the time of the attack, according to a family friend.

Herbert Muhire said: '[Her] daughter is being taken care of and treated for trauma and other consequences as she was found crying next to the mother who was in a pool of blood.

'Family and friends have been briefed how she was killed and died a gruesome death.

'Everything is being done that Linah’s body be brought and buried in respect at home in Kigali [Rwanda].'

Tributes to Linah from friends and relatives were left on a Facebook page set up soon after her death.

Azun Jezan wrote: 'So sad, may her Soul rest in peace and her daughter and family be strong on these difficult sad time.'

Another, Justine Twongyeirwe, wrote: 'Will miss your smile darl linah. RIP'

This morning, the page had over 500 members and some had posted images of Linah, who had worked as a model and studied social work at the University of Wolverhampton.

Bag Snatcher Beaten Up And Thrown Into A Ditch In Sapele,Delta State.( Photos Inside).

 

 

The young man in the ditch is a thief, who was caught on wedsnday on Shell road, Sapele, Delta state.

According to an eyewitness, the thief (name unknown) had snatched a woman's handbag in another part of town, Ugbeyi Sapele and sped off on his motorcycle. 

The poor woman couldn't raise an alarm, but fortunately a soldier who saw her bag get snatched quickly borrowed someone's Hilux and gave the thief a hot chase. 
Somehow, the thief got away.

But not for too long. Cos nemesis caught up with the thief when he got to Shell road. 
Some young men noticed the motorcyclist was holding an handbag but was without a passenger. 
When the thief was approached, he sped off.  But unknown to him, where he rode to was a dead-end.

 The youth chased him into the bush, caught him, battered him, and threw him into a pit, waiting for the police to arrive.

Some members of a vigilante group came to take the thief away, but onlookers refused and told them they were waiting for the police to come and carry him. 

Finally the police came and what they could say was "we can't carry him the way he is" and they went away. 

Then somebody took a motorcycle and went to call the army. 
When the soldiers came, one of them said this was the guy I chased this morning with someone's Hilux but I didn't know where he diverted to with his motorcycle cos I wasn't familiar with the route. 

The soldiers ordered for him to be put into the trunk of their car. While doing that, a girl shouted "he is my brother" repeatedly. 
The soldier dashed off to her, flogged her with the fan-belt he was holding, kicked her feet off the ground and beat her till she took off. 

Onlookers chased her, caught her and handed her to the soldiers that she might be a spy. 
The soldiers drove off with the owner of the bag (someone called her on phone while she was in another area), the thief in the trunk of the car and the girl on a motorcycle with some youth.

14 Injured As President Jonathan's Convoy Is Involved In Auto Crash In Nassarawa State.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Umar Shehu, Tuesday confirmed that the convoy of President Goodluck Jonathan was involved in an auto crash the day before, leaving 14 persons injured.
According to the eyewitnesses, three confessional policemen, three mobile policemen, one member of the civil defence corps, as well as one official of the state branch of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and six civilians were "seriously injured".
Mr Shehu claimed the state government had since released funds for the treatment of all the victims. He added that some of the victims have been discharged but those who have serious fracture were still at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia.
According to him, the accident happened when the vehicle of a prison officer ran into the convoy of the president and collided with one of the riders, who somersaulted and thereafter ran into the crowd.
"They are all responding to treatment at the hospital. Some have fractures on their legs.
"The prison officer sustained minor injury. He is still in police custody while investigation is ongoing," he said.
It will be recalled that the president was in Lafia for the inauguration of the newly constructed Federal High Court and Ta'al Model School constructed by the present administration in the state.

Contrary to reports, the music video producer recently convicted for raping his daughters, Aswad Ayinde, is American and not a Nigerian, writes CHUX OHAI

Emerging feelers indicate that the award-winning music video producer, Aswad Ayinde, who was allegedly sentenced to 90 years in jail in the USA for fathering six children with his own daughters, is not a Nigerian after all.

Ayinde, whose real name is believed to be either Eric McGill or Charles McGill, has been described as a ‘misguided’ Afrocentric American who, in the process of  tracing his roots back to Africa, decided to adopt a Nigerian name. He is an American citizen and a resident of Paterson, New Jersey.

A controversy appears to surround the actual identity of the shamed producer on social media. Just as various reports identify him as Eric McGill, a quick check online shows that Ayinde was mentioned in a story published by True Crime Report as Charles McGill.

About three years ago, the  self-styled ‘doomsday’ prophet’s  former wife, Beverly, in what seemed like a damning testimony, told a North Jersey court that he raped his daughters and impregnated three of them after declaring that the world was coming to an end and his offspring would be the sole survivors.

“He was having regular relationships with all the girls,” she said, adding that she was too afraid to fight back.

Beverly said Ayinde’s children were not allowed to attend school outside their home and no doctor was permitted to see them.

She said her former husband delivered his grandchildren himself with her assistance and there were no birth certificates.

Beverly was not named as a victim in the sexual assault charges against Ayinde, but she said members of his family were all subject to brutal beatings, often deprived food and threatened with death.

In all, five of Ayinde’s daughters were allegedly raped. Four of the alleged victims were the daughters of Beverly. According to the witnesses, he threatened to kill the entire family, if anyone revealed his activities.

In the first trial, Ayinde faced counts of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, lewdness, child endangerment, aggravated criminal sexual contact and criminal sexual contact.

He was found guilty in his latest trial of having intercourse with one of his daughters when she was only eight-years-old. The second sentence adds to the 40 year sentence that he received in a 2011 trial for sexually assaulting a separate daughter.

A report posted on NBC, New York said that in the latest trial, it was revealed that Ayinde sexually assaulted his daughters for almost 30 years. The crimes were perpetrated in numerous homes across northern New Jersey, even while the family was under the watch of state child welfare investigators.

Described as a ‘depraved parent with a Messianic complex’, Ayinde’s actions have also fuelled speculations on social media that he might belong to a dangerous secret cult. Apart from subjecting his victims to torture, it is suspected that he must have hypnotised or cast a spell through magical means to keep them from exposing his dark secrets.
