Nigeria Ranked as the 2nd Most Charitable Nation in Africa... 21st in the World

The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF),  has released a publication listing the World's Giving Index for 2014. This was obtained from a study conducted by International research firm. Gallup ranked Nigerians 2nd in Africa and 21st most generous people on earth.
In the survey, Nigerians were scored a World Giving Index of 49% coming behind Kenyans who were ranked number one in Africa and 15th in the world.
On the overall list, Myanmar ranks No 1 followed by United States of America, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Austrialia in that order.

The police spokesman in Enugu State, Ebere Amaraizu.
DSP, who confirmed the incident said that the deceased became weak and went into coma after taking the drinks.

Pope Francis has made another  controversial statement,This time, he has triggered a storm when he said animals also go to heaven. The 77 year old pope confirmed this during his weekly address in the Vatican’s St. Peter’s Square that canines, along with “all of God’s creatures,” can make it to heaven.

The leader of the Catholic Church made the remark in order to comfort a young boy who was mourning the death of his dog, according to the New York Times.He said

Girl Attempts Suicide By Drinking Sniper In Bayelsa.

According LIB,A girl has been stopped from committing suicide in Okeka-epie area of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa capital. She was said to have picked up a fight with her sister and later left to an isolated area where she reportedly drank a deadly insecticide called sniper.

She was found by a passer-by (boy) who saw her suicide letter on the grass. Consequently, she was rescued by neighbours and rushed to the hospital after given palm oil to subside the poisonous substance.

His name was reportedly sent last night to beat the deadline given by INEC that all primaries should end yesterday and names of successful candidates submitted before 11:59pm.
