Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state  on Friday apologised for the comments he made to a widow in Benin during an inspection tour on Mission Road, in the state capital, a fortnight ago.Oshiomhole who allegedly told the woman ‘to go and die’ said that he now regretted the comments which had become the subject of discourse in the social media as it has been described as unfortunate and unbecoming of a governor and a former labour leader.The Governor, however, noted that he made the comments in anger.

A Makurdi High Court on Tuesday sentenced, Jacob Atongo, a 100-level sociology student, Benue State University, to death by hanging for armed robbery.
In his judgment, Justice Adam Onum, held that he was satisfied with the confession of the accused to the charges and therefore, found him guilty.
Onum sentenced the accused to death by hanging, insisting that the sentence prescribed under the law for the offence must be followed.
Atongo conspired with two others and robbed Stephen Akuma and several others at gun point on June 26, 2012.

At Least 30 Killed In Separate Attacks In Plateau State.

At least 30 persons have been killed in attacks in different villages in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
