NECO Releases Results ,Black List 13 Schools Across The Country.

The National Examination Council (NECO), has announced the release of June/July Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results, just as it blacklisted 13 schools across six states for gross examination malpractices.
Authorities of the examination body said there was remarkable improvement in the performance of candidates, as against the previous results.
Announcing the results in Minna, Niger State, the Registrar and the Chief Executive Officer of NECO, Professor Promise Okpala, said over 1 million candidates sat for English Language, out of which 554,884, representing 49.33 per cent, passed at credit level, while 478,605, representing 42.55 per cent, had passes.
In Mathematics, he said 1,124,879 sat for the subject, with 567,011, representing 50.41 per cent, passed at credit level, while 418,351, representing 37.19 per cent, got passes.
Okpala, however, lamented that despite measures put in place to checkmate examination fraud, it was disgusting that some candidates and their schools still indulged in nefarious activities, necessitating the blacklisting of about 13 schools across Anambra, Cross River, Rivers, Imo, Kano, Benue and Nasarawa states.
He added that three officials of NECO were arrested and charged to court for alleged involvement in sharp practices.

Amber Rose Addresses ‘Gold Digger’ Claims As They Both Cover XXL Magazine.

She may have struggled to cement a brand of her own, but that hasn’t stopped Amber Rose from enjoying the benefits of those she keeps close by.

Now, she has addressed the above weighing on the idea that her notoriety stems not from her own merit but rather the efforts of ex boyfriend Kanye West and current flame Wiz Khalifa.

In the pair’s spread with XXL Magazine, the model shared:

Wiz is just a genuine sweet guy. And that’s what made me fall in love with him. And I just said, “You know what, I don’t care if he’s a rapper.” I don’t care if people say, “Oh, you’re a gold-digger.” I don’t care if people say, “Oh, you went from one rapper to another,” or whatever.

I love him.

I don’t look at him as a rapper. I look at him as Cameron Thomaz, not even Wiz Khalifa. I just fell so deeply in love with him, I didn’t care what anyone says.”

On Amber, Khalifa explained:

“I love my baby. She’s gorgeous and it makes me look even cooler when I show how much I love her to other people… When I met Amber, she loved me for who I was.

I had some money, but it was like to pay my bills and literally set myself up for a future. But I was wearing the same camo shorts and high-tops and Chucks.

But she liked my swag and she liked me for who I was and I wasn’t afraid of that… She didn’t wanna date any entertainers or anybody in the business. She didn’t know who she wanted to be with, but she knew who she didn’t wanna be with.”

Could they be any cuter?

U.S. Lawmakers Condemn Terrorist Attack On Catholic Church In Bauchi.

On Thursday, Rep. Peter King (R-NY), chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, and Pastor Laolu Akande, Executive Director of the Christian Association of Nigerian-Americans(CANAN), blasted the terrorist group Boko Haram for the bombing of a Catholic church in northern Nigeria. The terrorist group -- an al-Qaeda affiliated Islamist organization -- killed a woman and a child and injured 48 other churchgoers.

"We condemn in the strongest possible terms the latest atrocity waged by the Islamist terror group Boko Haram in Nigeria. The bombing at Saint John's Catholic Church in Bauchi is the latest in ongoing, coordinated attacks byBoko Haram on Catholic and other Christian churches in Nigeria, including the 2011 Christmas Day and 2012 Easter Day bombings," said Rep. King.

"The Muslim world exploded over a ridiculous YouTube video and the Obama administration couldn't apologize enough, but Christians being murdered, tortured and having their churches burned to the ground by Muslims appears to be ignored by Obama and his sycophants," said counter terrorism expert and former police commander George Wilkinson.

Since January 2011, these terrorist attacks have killed over 1,500 Nigerian Christians,

“Boko Haram is closely tied to al-Qaeda's regional affiliates in North and East Africa, and presents a potential threat to our Homeland and citizens. With a renewed sense of urgency, we once again call upon the U.S. Department of State to formally designate Boko Haram as a Foreign Terrorist Organization," said King.

Twice this year, Rep. King and Rep. Patrick Meehan (R-PA), Chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, have requested that Secretary of StateHillary Clinton designate Boko Haram as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO).

Last year, under the leadership of Subcommittee Chairman Meehan, the Committee released a bipartisan report entitled, "Boko Haram - Emerging Threat to the U.S. Homeland" and convened a related hearing.

Pastor Akande and other Nigerian-American Christians established CANAN on Sept. 11, 2012, to address the Boko Haram terrorist killings in Nigeria and other broader issues related to Nigerian-Americans.

Boko Haram is an Islamic sect that believes politics in northern Nigeria has been seized by a group of corrupt and apostate Muslims. It is waging a war against them in order to set up a separate caliphate.

For allegedly indulging in homosexuality with a seven-year old Isaac Chivirter Shamigah, a 20 year old 300 level Accounting student of Benue State University, Makurdi, Ortyom Dyorugh has been thrown behind bars at the Makurdi Medium Security Prison by a Makurdi Court.

Dyorugh who was arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court in Makurdi for alleged gross indecency was said to have forced Shamigah to commit the act with him at the Judges Quarters area of Makurdi town where they both lived.

According to the First Information Report, FIR, which was filed by Police Prosecutor, Sergeant Patrick Sunday, the accused took Shamigah to an uncompleted building within the vicinity of Judges Quarters where he forced him into sucking his penis with the threat to kill him if he refused to do his bidding.

The Prosecutor further told the court that the alleged sucking of Dyorugh’s genital resulted in the release of sperm into Shamigah’s mouth on three different occasions after which he reiterated his threat to kill Shamigah if he revealed the unholy act.

The young boy was said to have exhibited strange behaviors after the act which attracted his parents’ attention and inquisition.

After some prompting however, Shamigah opened up to his parents, narrating his ordeal in the hands of the under graduate and the threat to his life if he opened up to anybody.

After listening to his son, the boy’s father, Rev Clement Shamigah reported the matter to the Criminal Investigation Bureau, CIB of the Benue State Police Command and Dyorugh was subsequently arrested.

When the case came up under Section 285 of the Penal Code, Dyorugh denied the allegation. Trial Chief Magistrate Mrs. Lilian Tsumba directed that the accused be remanded in prison custody.

Adamawa State Government Chases Flood Victims Out Of Occupied Schools.

Flood victims in Adamawa State currently settling in public schools in parts of the state have been urged to vacate their temporary abodes to allow for the new academic session to commence in the state. The state government said it would soon provide the victims alternative camp sites. The state Commissioner for Special Duties, Hayatu Zumo, said the state government had to take this step for the good of the stranded pupils, who are unable to commence the new academic session because of the stay of the flood victims in the schools.
Only recently, Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Kobbis Aris, had warned the victims not to go back to their respective homes, saying that the Cameroon government would open the Lagdo Dam in the months of September and October. As a temporary measure following the floods that ravaged the state recently, the state government had evacuated and camped victims in nearby public schools across the state where they have been receiving attention and relief from agencies, individuals and corporate bodies.
Zumo gave the latest evacuation order at the flag-off of the relocation of the victims to temporary camps in Yola, the state capital. Making presentation of relief materials to the evacuees, she urged the displaced persons to be patient adding that the state government was poised to cushion the hardship they were passing through due to the disaster.
Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Shadrack Daniel, also told newsmen that some of the displaced persons had vacated their camps to live with their relatives or elsewhere.
However, he posited that SEMA would still reach out to the IDPs with relief items to ease their suffering.

24 Year Old Abubakar Tijani Sherrif Arrested By EFCC For Attempting To Smuggle $7million Out Of Nigeria.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday arrested a bulk currency smuggler, Abubakar Tijani Sheriff, for allegedly attempting to smuggle $7million out of the country.

Sheriff (24) was arrested at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos en route Dubai, United Arab Emirates at the point of boarding the plane by operatives of the EFCC.
When arrested, he claimed that he had a $4.5million on him but a thorough screening and search showed that he was actually carrying $7.049million.
A statement made available yesterday by the EFCC’s Acting Head, Media & Publicity, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, also quoted the suspect as confessing that he was a courier for 20 individuals, who hired him to take the money to Dubai.

EFCC’s investigation showed that Sheriff is a regular traveller and one of several couriers of illegal cash suspected to be proceeds of crime while his claims in respect of his accomplices are still being investigated by the anti-graft agency.

Travellers leaving the country are statutorily required to declare cash in excess of $10,000. But it is not sufficient to declare excess cash, under the provisions of the Money Laundering Act, as the onus is on the person making the declaration to explain the source of the excess cash and the reason for the export.

He was 79 years old at the time of death, having been born on March 20, 1933.

He noted that the late Seriki was a man who usually offered wise counsel to governments at federal and state levels.

The governor added that the demise of Adegbite is not just a loss to Ogun State but to Nigeria as a whole.

Nigerians Urge President Jonathan To Disclose Nature Of His Wife's Ailment [isn't that a private affair?]

Nigerians on Friday called on President Goodluck Jonathan to disclose the nature of his wife, Patience’s, sickness.
Worried by the continued absence of the First Lady who had been reportedly hospitalised in a German hospital over a month ago, civil society organisations (CSO) and concerned Nigerians have warned that the continued silence of the Presidency on the matter is a slap on the citizenry.
On Thursday an online publication, Sahara Reporters
claimed that the First Lady is battling with Parkinson disease.
The disease according to a medical expert is a progressive disorder of the nervous system characterized by progressive loss of muscle control, which leads to trembling of the limbs and head while at rest, stiffness, slowness, and impaired balance. As the symptom worsen, it may become difficult to walk, talk, and complete simple tasks.”
In separate interviews, the former Governor of Kaduna State, Balarabe Musa, and National Publicity Secretary of Save Nigeria Group (SNG), Yinka Odumanki, accused the president of undue hypocrisy on the development.
Musa averred that the president has no choice than to let Nigerians know the nature of of his wife’s sickness.
“He should be told in clear teams that the same fate that befell late President Musa Yar’Adua is now telling on him. He has no right to keep to himself what is happening to the woman. He cannot hide it from Nigerians because they are spending tax payers’ money on her as the First Lady.
“But this is the height of hypocrisy from Jonathan; what he accused Yar’Adua’s family of hiding from him and Nigerians is what he is doing now. He is now hiding his wife from the same Nigerians. Certainly, the president must let the people know what the health challenge of the woman is because I believe he knows. This cannot happen in the advance world. Enough of this deceit, Nigerians deserve to be told the truth. Time is running out on the president on this matter and unfortunately, the party he belongs to won’t tell him the truth,” Musa said.
As far as Odumakin is concerned, Jonathan owes Nigerians the duty of telling them what is happening to his wife.
“It is not good to rely on rumours. It is binding on Jonathan to tell Nigerians where his wife is. The president should come out and tell us what is happening to his wife. It is unfortunate that between Yar’Adua and Jonathan, there is no difference. Nigerians demand to know the true situation of things. Nigerians should ask Jonathan to come out and speak on the situation of his wife’s health and stop being hypocrite,” he said.
In the same vein, radical lawyer and rights activist, Festus Keyamo, also flayed the presidency for keeping mute over Patience’s sickness, insisting that Nigerians have the right to know her condition.
He said the First Lady is a wife of a public officer and given the fact that tax payer’s money is being used for her treatment, the people must know her health condition. “What is happening concerning the silence about the health condition of the wife of the President, Patience Jonathan, is wrong. It is sad that this sort of abnormality can be happening at this period of our development. Nigerians must know the health condition of the wife of their president. President Goodluck Jonathan is a public servant and the money for the treatment of the wife is the public money so we should know what is happening to her.
“What is happening now is exactly what played out during the health condition of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and even President Jonathan then condemned what happened, so why is he not doing the right thing now. There is no argument about it, Nigerians must know what is wrong with the president’s wife.

Boko Haram Suspects Names Security Personnel In Terror Attactk.

SOME security personnel have been named among those carrying out terrorist attacks in the country. The disclosure came from the confessions of a high-profile Boko Haram member arrested by the military Joint Task Force (JTF) in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
Most of these personnel have been arrested, while security agencies are on the trail of others.
According to the JTF, the suspect, Ahmed Grema Mohammed, was apprehended at a checkpoint on the Maiduguri-Damaturu road while on his way to kill a former special adviser to the immediate past governor of the state.
Mohammed is an officer of the Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS) attached to the Nangere office of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Yobe State.
News of the arrest was contained in a JTF statement signed by the task force spokesman, Lt. Col Sagri Musa, and made available to The Guardian.
The statement said Mohammed had been on the wanted lists in the country. He was arrested on August 17, this year for impersonating a Lieutenant in the Nigerian Army.
The state read in part: “Mohammed confessed to be actively involved in the killings of some senior civil servants, security agents, and politicians in Damaturu who spoke against the activities of Boko Haram, particularly the former chairman of Damboa Council, Alhaji Lawal Kawu.
“He also took part in the attack on the old Police Headquarters in Damaturu, where some policemen were killed and large quantity of arms and ammunition carted away.
“In addition, he was among the terrorists that attacked Damaturu Prison, burnt some primary schools, the State CID office and the Police Safety Vehicle, among others.”
Musa added that the suspect has been an active member of the sect long before the crises of July 2009.
“The suspect revealed to JTF that he and 15 other members of the organization were intensively trained for three months on G3 and AK 47 rifles, as well as in assassinations and special operations in Niger Republic.
“He also revealed names of some security personnel that participated in terrorists’ attacks in Borno and Yobe states.

Diezani Alison-Madueke Checked In To Two Super Suites In A Luxury Hotel In New York During U.N Gen Assembly.

Investigations by SaharaReporters revealed that Nigeria’s Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, booked and paid for two rooms in two separate high-cost hotels during the four nights she spent in New York City during the just concluded United Nations General Assembly.
Impeccable sources within the Presidency and the delegation of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) disclosed that the minister’s two rooms were booked under a pseudonym.
Saharareporters discovered that Joe Mordi, one of the minister’s closest aides who works at the NNPC office in London, booked her into a one-bedroom suite at Four Seasons Hotel located at 57 East 57th Street, New York.
When SaharaReporters inquired at the hotel, a staff said that the suite cost $5,000 per night. Ms. Alison-Madueke, who is known around Presidency circles as “Prime Minister,” was also booked into another room at the Pierre Hotel on 2 East 61st Street in New York where President Goodluck Jonathan lodged during his stay in New York. SaharaReporters found out that her room on the 28th floor of the Pierre Hotel cost Nigerian tax payers $3,000 per night. There were also additional charges in taxes and service fees.
Ms. Alison-Madueke arrived in New York in style on a private jet on Monday from London where she had made a brief stop to continue treatment for an undisclosed ailment. She is billed to return to London today. President Jonathan left New York last night around 6:00 p.m. and has arrived in Nigeria very early today.
SaharaReporters also learnt that, apart from the lavish double accommodation enjoyed by the Petroleum minister in two of New York City’s most expensive hotels, her delegation of seven NNPC officials also engaged in other acts of reckless spending. “The NNPC hired ten limousines to ferry its 7 officials, including the General Managing Director,” said our source. Five of the limousines, rented for $1,800 each per day, were stationed permanently in front of the Pierre Hotel while another five were put to the service of the NNPC officials at the Four Seasons.
The Nigerian delegation’s profligacy during the New York trip earned the attraction of America’s mainstream media. New York-based National Broadcasting Corporation ((NBC), one of the top three television networks in the US, yesterday reported that African delegates from the poorest countries stayed in some of the most expensive hotels and shopped in high-priced retail stores during the UN General Assembly. The network focused on delegates from such countries as Togo, Swaziland, and Nigeria. SaharaReporters had earlier reported that President Jonathan was quartered at the Pierre Hotel in a suite that cost $10,000 per night.
International measurements of social indices routinely rank Nigeria as one of the world’s least developed countries. Some 70% of Nigerians live on less than 2 dollars per day. “It is sad that the mindless waste of public resources in New York by President Jonathan and other Nigerian officials was happening at a time when two million Nigerians have been displaced from their homes by ravaging floods,” said an Abuja-based civil society activist.

Saudi Arabia Deports Nigeria Female Pilgrims.

deported female pilgrims

Over 900 Nigerian female pilgrims were deported to the country from Saudi Arabia through the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano. Some wept openly as they disembarked from the flight. Some of the pilgrims covered their faces shortly after they were conveyed through the "Arrival" hall of the airport's Hajj wing. They looked frail and tired.

The deported pilgrims were returned on board Max Air at exactly 4:55pm. Most of them complained of ill-treatment and rejection.

The female pilgrims were brought back to the country due to what the Saudi authorities said was "their inability to come along with their male guardians".

"We were guests of Almighty Allah, but we were not given food nor water throughout our sojourn in the last 24 hours. The only food we ate since we left the shores of this country is the one we were given inside the aircraft," Aeeshatu Isma'il from Taraba told our correspondent.

It is now clear that there is more than meets the eyes as far as the issue of deportation of Nigerian femalepilgrims from the Holy Land is concerned. In defiance to the ultimatum given to it by the Nigerian government on the issue, the Saudi authorities have deported another 510 female pilgrims reports say. 171 had earlier been deported on Wednesday.

The authorities of Saudi Arabia are insisting that the women were unaccompanied by male relations which was considered against laid down rules of the kingdom. But there seems to be more to it. An interesting case as reported by Vanguard is that of the husband of one of the female deportees who returned home with his wife, in protest, when the Saudi Authorities refused to clear his wife, even after explaining that he was the husband of the woman.

According to highly placed sources at the National Hajj Commission, the return by the male pilgrim in question was an indication that there was more to the stance of the Saudi authorities than meets the eyes.

The source said: “On board of the plane bringing the women is also a male pilgrim. He decided to return home with his wife in protest when his explanations and entreaties to the fact that his wife was accompanied fell on deaf ears. That shows clearly that there is more to the issue than meets the eyes.

Photos: The 70 years Old Twin Prostitutes Who Have Slept With Over 300,000 Men In 50 Years

Wow! Is all I can say. Just two women alone have slept with such a huge number of random persons. On the average, that means they have both slept with 20 men/day over the last 50 years! Isn’t that a record? That is the story of Identical twins Louise and Martine Fokkens, who shot to fame earlier this year as stars of a documentary charting their 50 year careers as prostitutes in Amsterdam.
Identical Twins Louise & Martine Fokkens Have Worked As Prostitutes In Amsterdam For Fifty Years
Now the 70-year-old Dutch sisters are celebrating their retirement with a tell-all book about their lives and the industry, and today they admitted to This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that they have entertained 355,000 men between them.
Louise revealed that her bad arthritis meant that she had retired from prostitution two years ago causing the telly hosts to exclaim: ‘No wonder you have arthritis. You must have very flexible hips!’
The Fokken Twins Started Working As Prostitutes In The 1960s
Louise, who became a prostitute aged twenty after a brief spell making lampshades explained how she got in to the business:
‘We didn’t have enough money. ‘My husband’s friends said it was the best way to make money so we decided to find out. I was 20/21 the first time. At first it was a problem for our mother and father but later we all lived normally with it.’
Martine, a mother-of-three who still works as a prostitute two to three times a week said:
‘My family told me about my sister while I was in the hospital having my first baby. I didn’t believe it but we talked about it and I loved her, that’s life.’
Martine then started working at the brothel as a cleaner but two years later decided to join her sister as a prostitute after so many clients mistook her for her identical twin.
Louise, who has four children and nine grandchildren said: ‘I helped her with the first client: told her what she had to do, what she shouldn’t do.’
Unsurprisingly the women are familiar faces around the red light district, and over their five decades working in the sex industry freed themselves from the control of their pimps, ran their own brothel, and set up the first informal trade union for prostitutes.
But out of curiosity, who patronizes a 70 years old prostitute? Certainly not in this climes! And you can imagine, it is the other twin who got introduced to the business that is still ‘enjoying’ it – call it late bl(gr)ooming!

He said that windy weather was expected during the dry season, following more heavy rains likely to lead to more floods between September and October.
He cautioned people not to stay under trees during the period.
Anuforom said: "We are transiting now from rainy to dry season; the kind of things we may experience are violent winds.

.M.D MTV Networks Alex Okosi Speaks With African Voices CNN On The Power Of African Broadcasting.

Alex Okosi left Nigeria as a young boy in the late 1980s to seek a better future in the United States.
By the early 2000s, the music executive was carving a successful career with broadcasting giant MTV, holding strategic positions within the influential medial company both in the United States and Europe.
Yet, Okosi never forgot where he came from. His dream had always been to promote his continent's diverse music scene and vibrant youth culture.
In the mid-2000s, at a time when not many were convinced about his continent's economic potential, Okosi helped persuade his bosses to launch a dedicated MTV channel for Africa.
as the senior vice president and managing director of MTV Networks Africa, Okosi runs MTV Base, the company's first localized television service targeted exclusively at sub-Saharan Africa.
"We've ... been quite lucky in being able to create a brand that we have taken from our international stable and bring into the continent to be able to create content and experiences that people enjoy, localizing them to make sure that they cater to the attitudes and tastes of African audiences," says Okosi, now based in South Africa.

Born in  Nigeria, Okosi moved to the United States at the age of 12. He excelled throughout school, graduated with high honors in 1994 and won a scholarship to St. Michael's college in Vermont.
He credits his mentor Midge Monte for shaping his character and showing him the value of working hard to achieve your goals.
"Midge was such an important an influential part of my life as she served as my guardian the last two years of my high school career and has since remained a huge part of my life," says Okosi. "Midge also instilled in me the importance of hard work and commitment as one strives to be successful."
Okosi's determination and academic excellence helped him land a job with MTV straight after university. His talents soon started to shine Okosi worked both in MTV's New York and West Coast offices before moving to London to be part of the company's international strategy team.
He first planted the seed of bringing MTV to Africa during a business lunch with the head of the broadcasting giant. Okosi was convinced about the power and value of the African market, but putting together a viable business plan was far from easy -- a lack of data on the size of the advertising market, coupled with infrastructure challenges, hampered Okosi's ambitions.
"I just focused on the fact that there's this great opportunity to do something that I believe would enable us and our youth culture to be projected in the most different way," he says. "The excitement and the passion to do what we've been able to do completely overshadowed everything that was there to consider."Yet, despite all the challenges, Okosi was determined to succeed.
Once Okosi's business plan had convinced his MTV bosses that a foray into Africa could be a success, his vision and dream were put to the test. The brand was well entrenched in the developed world but setting up shop in the continent had its own unique challenges.
At first, he says, the quality of the music videos was the biggest setback.
