Mopol Beaten by Other Police Officers for Preventing them from Collecting Bribe

Corporal James Ameh, a Mobile police officer serving in Rivers State was battered by 6 police officers that he was working with.
Corporal Ameh tried to stop his colleagues from extorting money from motorists at Eleme Junction roundabout, in Rivers State and that appeal lead to their beating him silly.
The Corporal was dumped on the street by the rouge officers and some unsympathetic members of the public did not help his situation.

We are Appealing to the Inspector General of Police to ensure that these errant officers are apprehended and prosecuted with further delay.

Corporal Ameh, you are the HOPE for generation of Nigerians to come.

This is incredible, a Kenyan man was suspecting is wife of cutting runs and eventually went to a juju house to help him catch who she was cheating with.

Bianca Ojukwu Confirmed As Ambassador.

The Senate on Wednesday confirmed the nomination of Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, wife of the late Ikemba Nnewi, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, as an ambassador, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

Ojukwu’s confirmation followed the consideration of the report of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs following which her nomination was unanimously approved by the senators.

Bianca, a former beauty queen, was nominated as an ambassador by President Goodluck Jonathan along with 87 others but was unable to attend the screening with other nominees following the death of her husband on November 10, 2011.

The Senator Matthew Nwagwu (PDP-Imo) led committee on Foreign Affairs eventually screened her on April 25 and recommended that she be confirmed as an ambassador.

Senate President David Mark in a brief remark said he was convinced that Ojukwu would represent the country well.

“I believe she will represent us very well; I also congratulate the women because that makes up for their 35 per cent affirmation action and even more.”

Governor Gabriel Suswam Dissolves 23 Local Government Caretaker Committee Chairmen.

There are strong indications that Governor Gabriel Suswam may have approved the dissolution of 23 local government caretaker committee chairmen in Benue state .

The caretaker committee chairman have been in office for almost one year ,the dissolution order however does not affect the caretaker chairmen of Makurdi,Tarkaa,Gboko,Okpokwu and Agatu local government.

The chairmen have been directed to immediately have over to their Director,General Services and Administration. (DGSS).

The dissolution has put to rest long speculations concerning when the caretaker chairmen would be sent packing.

Benue: Pregnant woman remanded over murder charge.

A 38-year-old pregnant woman, Mwuese Manger of Gwer Local Government Area of Benue State in Nigeria’s Middle Belt region, was on Tuesday remanded at the Federal Prisons over the alleged killing of an eight-year-old boy.
The Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Michael Ewoh, told the Makurdi Chief Magistrates’ Court that one Akaa Agbe reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Aliade, that his son, Aondover Damatim,had been murdered. Ewoh said that Agbe told the police that the accused took the boy, who was staying with his grandmother
in Howe village to the Uloho stream in the same village, killed him and threw his corpse into the stream.
According to the prosecutor, the villagers who mobilised themselves and conducted a search, found his corpse in the stream. He said that the accused was arrested. and during police investigation, she admitted committing the crime, which contravened Section 222 of the Penal Code.
The accused’s plea, was however, not taken for lack of jurisdiction.
The prosecution asked for another date, saying that investigation was still in progress.The Chief Magistrate, Dan Ogo, adjourned the matter till May 16 for further mention.
Meanwhile, the accused, who spoke after the court session, said she did not kill the boy. She said that the police forced her to admit to the crime.
She, however, admitted that she went to the stream with the deceased but left him there after fetching her own water.
“Why would anyone accuse me of killing the boy when I have no reason to do so? Manger asked.’’

Nevada drivers could soon be sharing the road with vehicles that don't need them.

Department of Motor Vehicles officials said Monday they've issued Google the nation's first license to test self-driving cars on public streets, after conducting demonstrations on the Las Vegas Strip and in Carson City that show the car is as safe - or perhaps safer - than a human.

Reports say that popular Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor otherwise known as Mama G is in a legal battle with her son, Chuka.
The actress was reported to have taken Chuka to court to stop him from claiming his father’s inheritance as the Igbo tradition demand of him as a first son.Trouble started when against his will, Mama G forced... one lady named Ada on Chuka after Mama G made him dump his former girlfriend, Joy who Mama G said wasn’t good for him.
