Israel Bans Underweight Models From The Catwalk (Should Other Countries Follow?)

Some interesting news has come out of the Israeli fashion world: As of January 1, models who are underweight have been banned from walking the catwalk or appearing in advertisements. The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies a person as underweight when they reach a BMI below 18.5. Along with this, advertisers are now required to print a disclaimer if the models were digitally altered. read more

Ethiopian Airline Cargo Plane Crash Lands in Accra

An Ethiopian airline cargo aircraft traveling from Lome, Togo to Accra Ghana skidded off the runway as it arrived the Kotoka Airport in Ghana. NBC Bans AirPlay Of "Shoki" by Lil Kesh......annh annh Shoki

 Shoki (remix) will no longer be played during the daylight hours in Lagos State.

The song by Lil Kesh, which has always been on the radar of the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) with an earlier issue last year, has been restricted by the regulatory body for regular playing time on radio. The song will now be limited to airplay during ‘watershed’ time, that is, between 10pm and 5am.

We spotted fast rising Nigerian Reggae dancehall artist Patrick Okorie,known as Patoranking recently at Intercontinental Hotel recently during a Media outing,we dragged him into our caucus for a snap shoot....Patrick who is a descent of Ebonyi, started his musical career doing underground collaborations with artists such as XProject, Konga, Slam and Reggie Rockstone. He signed a record deal with K-Solo's Igberaga Records in 2010, releasing "Up in D Club" under the outfit. Benue APC Guber Candidate ,Chief Ortom Promises To Clear Outstanding Salaries If Elected.

All Progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial candidate in Benue State, Dr Samuel Ortom has promised to clear all outstanding salaries of teachers and other workers if he is elected governor of the state.

Ortom, who spoke at a meeting with members of the party in Makurdi, the state capital yesterday assured to provide a leadership anchored on the fear of God, which he said would translate to justice, accountability, unity, among other values.

The guber candidate also promised to embark on industrialisation, which he said would add value to the different sectors and thereby generate employment, wealth and other opportunities for the teeming youths as well as the elders of the state.

Being a grassroots politician that is at home with the problems of the people, Ortom said he does not need a tutorial to take off as governor and urged the people not to be deceived by the antics of the PDP.

“I started as a motor park tout. People always say I downgrade myself anytime I tell that story. But I think the story of my life is to give inspiration to those who find themselves in the position I found myself years ago,” Ortom stressed.

He said he has met with all the conditions that he needed to meet with to stand for the position of governor and urged party members and supporters to ignore the campaign of calumny being carried out against him on the state owned radio station and Ashi Radio.

The APC guber candidate also disclosed that all was being done to resolve ongoing crises as well as grievances of members.
