A Texas father caught a man sexually assaulting his 4-year-old daughter and punched him in the head repeatedly, killing him, authorities said.Neither has been publicly identified.
Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon says the girl was left inside the family's house during a social gathering, while other members of her family were tending to horses.
Harmon adds that the father returned to the house, caught the man in the act, and stopped him by striking him in the head several times, according to CNN.
The alleged abuser was pronounced dead on the scene, while the child was taken to a local hospital in Victoria, Texas, for examinations before being released.
The incident took place Saturday, June 9.
Harmon described the girl as, "OK, besides the obvious mental trauma."
The sheriff was asked whether they would press charges against the father; he responded:

"You have a right to defend your daughter. He acted in defense of his third person. Once the investigation is completed we will submit it to the district attorney who then submits it to the grand jury, who will decide if they will indict him."

He then described the dad as "very remorseful," regrettably stating that he didn't know the man was going to die.
Authorities were leaving the deceased man's name undisclosed, while they notified his closest relatives. Officials, on-the-spot, did not know if he had a prior criminal history

Man Sets Court Ablaze For Dissolving His Marriage.

Ahmed Ubale Mai-Nama yesterday set ablaze an Upper Shari'a Court in Funtua town of Katsina State over alleged dissolution of his marriage.

The estranged husband, according to a witness, Malam Shu'aibu Garba, set the court on fire in the early hours of yesterday and stood watching as it consumed the entire building.

Garba told Daily Trust that the man was letter arrested and handed over to the police by the court's local guards and some passers-by. The man is now being held at the Funtua police area command, it was gathered.

Mr. Ejike Orji, a lawyer from the AGF's chambers, made an oral application to the court to convey the AGF's interest in taking over the matter because it involved a foreign citizen.
However, counsel to the accused, Suleiman Usman, opposed the application, arguing that the AGF could not takeover a criminal case without the fiat of an attorney general of the state, taking Abuja to possess the status of a state.

Prime Minister David Cameron left his eight-year-old daughter in a pub following a Sunday lunch, after a mix-up with his wife Samantha.
The couple's daughter Nancy wandered off to the toilets while they were arranging lifts and they only realised she was not with them when they got home, The Sun said.
Mr Cameron rushed back to the Plough Inn in Cadsden, Bucks, where he found his daughter with staff.
A Downing Street spokesman said: "The Prime Minister and Samantha were distraught when they realised Nancy wasn't with them.
"Thankfully when they phoned the pub she was there safe and well.
"The Prime Minister went down straight away to get her."
The Camerons were at the Plough Inn - near the Prime Minister's country retreat Chequers - with Nancy and their other children Arthur, six, and 22-month-old Florence, as well as two other families.
When Mr Cameron left the pub he went home in one car with his bodyguards and thought Nancy was with his wife and their other children in another car. Mrs Cameron had assumed her eldest daughter was with her father.
The mistake was only discovered when they got home.
Mr Cameron drove back to the pub and found Nancy helping staff. She was away from her parents for about 15 minutes

Barring last-minute change of mind, the House of Representatives will this week suspend its member who allegedly collected $620,000 from an oil baron to influence the report of the House Ad Hoc Committee on Fuel Subsidy Regime.
The House leadership has shown the video clip of the bribe saga to the Representative, who reportedly collected the crash at 4am.
The member, who initially denied collecting the bribe, was shocked to watch himself in the video which security agencies made available to the House leadership, it was learnt yesterday.
But the plot by some forces in government to use the scandal to remove Speaker Aminu Tambuwal has backfired as members have resolved to stand by him, having been satisfied that the leadership was not involved in the scandal.

His burial has been scheduled to hold  by 10am  on Tuesday (tomorrow),  at the Redeemed Christain Church of God, Jide Oki Street, off Ligali Ayorinde Street, Victorial Island, Lagos.
Titilayo, while lamenting the death of her husband on Sunday in an obituary, published in a national newspaper,  said, “My Ehime, we promised we would be together forever,  forever came too soon.”

Kenya's Ex-VP and Presidential Candidate George Saitoti Killed In Chopper Crash.

Kenya's former Vice President George Saitoti, who was serving as the country's security minister and was a presidential candidate in an upcoming election, was killed Sunday when a police helicopter crashed into a forest outside the capital, the government said.
Prime Minister Raila Odinga's spokesman said Odinga had been informed of the deaths of Saitoti and his deputy, Orwa Ojode.A former long-serving vice president under the former President Daniel Arap Moi, Saitoti was also a presidential candidate in an election expected to be held by March next year.

As the nation still mourns the hundreds that died in the Dana Plane Crash it appears that some of the relations of the victims are starting to get over it already. and this was clearly pointed out in Ndako Mijindadi's wedding a week after he lost 9 family members who were attending his wedding in the plane crash.

Maimuna Anyene died with her four children (Kamsi, 2, twins Kayna and Kayne 1, and Kamal, 7 months), her husband, mother and other relatives in last Sunday’s DANA AIR PLANE CRASH while heading to Lagos to attend her younger brother (Ndako Mijindadi)’s wedding, which was scheduled to hold yesterday June 9th. Maimuna lived in the US, and was in Nigeria with her kids specifically to see her husband who lived mostly in Nigeria and to attend her brother’s wedding. But they all died in the ill fated flight.

Ndako Mijindadi, Maimuna‘s younger brother went ahead with his wedding despite losing Maimuna and eight other family members in that crash. The wedding held yesterday at the Incubator, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Ndako is now being heavily criticized for going ahead with the wedding, while the family was still mourning the huge loss. Some friends and well-wishers, who do not want their identity let out to the public have criticized Ndako's decision to go ahead with the wedding, considering the fact that the family was still mourning, and the deceased haven't been buried.

Lady Gaga received a concussion in the middle of her "Born This Way Ball" show in Auckland, New Zealand, on Sunday. During the song "Judas," one of the dancers accidentally hit the singer on the head with a pole.

According to fan site Gagamedia.net, Gaga continued with the performance for another 16 songs. "I want to apologize," she told the crowd. "I did hit my head and I think I may have a concussion but don’t you worry I will finish this show."
