BUHARI HISTORICAL CERTIFICATE SAGA – DOYIN OKUPE

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday received his attestation certificate from the West African Examination Council(WAEC), which has now sparked national debate.
While some supporters of the president, have maintained that, it was impossible for Buhari, a retired military officer, critics maintain the president never sat for the said examination.

However, former spokesman to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe has published an exclusive history, by LT. Col. Idris Bako (Rtd) on Buhari’s certificate ‘saga’.
Read below:

EXCLUSIVE: BUHARI HISTORICAL CERTIFICATE SAGA

BY: LT. Col. Idris Bako (Rtd)
(NA Regular Course II Set)

I want to re-state categorically that Buhari has NO VERIFIABLE CERTIFICATE anywhere in the world.

1. WAEC/CAMBRIDGE GCE: – Buhari did not sit for the Cambridge examination in 1961 as his names (Muhammadu, Mohammed or Mohamed Buhari) is not in the UK Examination body’s List of candidates names from 1960-1962

2. His name(s) is also NOT on WAEC candidates names in both Ghana and Nigeria Offices from 1960-1962. Any attempt by Buhari or his agents to present any document to INEC representing WACE or GCE certificate may constitute an Offence.(FORGERY, PERJURY PENDING)

3. CERTIFICATE/ARMY RECRUITMENT: – Buhari presented no certificate to the Nigerian Army in 1961 when Late Ahmadu Bello conscripted him from his School (Still In session) to join the Army, as he has none. The only paperwork came from his school principal, stating that,

4. , “I consider that he (Buhari) will pass west African school certificate, with credit in English, Maths and three other subjects”. This letter is self-explanatory. You cannot pass an examination you never sat for.

5. NIGERIA DEFENCE ACADEMY (NDA): – Buhari did not attend the NDA as claimed. He attended Royal Military Forces Training College (RMFTC) for months (End of 1961 to the beginning of 1962) for normal Army recruitment and physical fitness training

6. This is not a certification programme. RMFTC was renamed NDA (established on the 5th of February 1964), and regular courses were introduced thereon.

7. UK MILITARY TRAINING: Buhari attended the Aldershot based, Mons Officer Cadet School. No Certificate was issued to Buhari, as he passed no examination for the short period he was in the UK in 1963. Cadet School information collaborates this.

8. DEFENCE SERVICE STAFF COLLEGE, WILLINGTON, INDIA: – As usual, Buhari attended the staff college and did not sit for their examinations. The Defence Services Staff College, Willington does not issue a certificate of attendance to its attendee in 1974.

9. US WAR COLLEGE: – Buhari left this College in 1980. He has in his Wikipedia page that he was offered a Master Degree in the same college in 1980.

10. THE US War college have confirmed that they started their Master program in the year 2000 and there is no way Buhari would have gotten a Masters degree in that college in 1980. Again, no certificate was issued to him.
Veritable facts

Man says he saw Femi Fani-Kayode’s dad in London prison

A Nigerian lawyer, Kehinde took to Twitter to make an uncommon claim of seeing Femi Fani-Kayode’s dad, Chief Remilekun Adetokunboh Fani-Kayode, in a London prison.

According to the Nigerian lawyer, though Wikipedia says Femi Fani-Kayode’s dad is dead however he saw an old 91-year-old man serving his time when he visited Belmarsh prison in London. His tweets reads;

Please Nigerians Who’s Remi Fani-Kayode? Is He Femi Fani Kayode’s Father? If He Is Then I’m Confused As I Visited The Belmarsh Prison In London & Saw This Old 91 Yr Old Man Remi Serving His Time Yet Wikipedia Says He’s Dead Did He Fake His Death Or What?

Chief Remilekun Adetokunboh Fani-Kayode, Q.C., S.A.N, C.O.N (1921-1995) was a leading Nigerian nationalist, elder-statesman, lawyer and politician. He was elected Deputy Premier of the Western region of Nigeria in 1963 and he played a major role in Nigeria’s legal history and politics from the late 1940’s right up until 1995. He hails from a prominent and well educated Yoruba family who are of Ife stock from South-Western Nigeria.

His grandfather Rev. Emmanuel Adedapo Kayode was an Anglican Priest who had got his Master of Arts (Durham) degree from Fourah Bay College which at that time was part of Durham University and his father Victor Adedapo Kayode studied law at Cambridge University and went on to become a prominent lawyer and then a judge in Nigeria. His mother was Mrs. Aurora Kayode (nee Fanimokun) who was the daughter of the respected Rev. Joseph Fanimokun who had also been an Anglican priest, and had also got his Master of Arts (Durham) degree from Fourah Bay College and later became the Principal of the famous CMS Grammer School in Lagos from 1896 to 1914.

Remilekun Fani-Kayode played a major role in the struggle for Nigeria’s Independence. In 1952 he, together with Rotimi Williams, Bode Thomas and a number of others were all detained by the British colonial authorities for the very active and passionate role that they played in the struggle against the British. He was elected the leader of the Action Group youth wing in 1954.

He set up a formidable, militant and combative youth wing for the party who wore “black shirts” and used the “mosquito” as their emblem in order to reflect their disdain for British colonial rule. Again in 1954, he was elected into the Federal House of Assembly on the platform of Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s Action Group and he continued his fight for Nigeria’s Independence from there. He however died in 1995.

Oshiomhole frustrating my ambition, yet made his son lawmaker – Okorocha’s in-law

Okorocha’s in-law, Uche Nwosu who reacted to the decision of the national working committee (NWC) of the APC to recognize Hope Uzodinma as the governorship candidate in Imo State, accused Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), of opposing his governorship ambition.

Okorocha’s in-law who spoke with reporters in Owerri, Imo state capital, said it is unfortunate that Oshiomhole is the chairman of APC at a time when the party ought to “concentrate on winning the general election instead of being entangled in intra-party crisis”.
Uche Nwosu who insisted that he remains the authentic candidate of the party, said Okorocha’s senatorial ambition ought not affect his own ambition since Oshiomhole influenced the emergence of his son as a lawmaker in Edo state and is still holding the chairmanship position.

“We are disappointed over Oshiomole’s action, his statements and antics did not give hope to young people who hitherto had always looked up to him,” he said.
“He is saying that Okorocha’s senatorial ambition scuttled my governorship bid… After all Oshiomole’s son is a member of the Edo state house of assembly, who he nominated and he is the chairman of the party.
“He is a man that is supposed to speak rightly and not deceive the people on air. I saw him on the television when he was talking from both sides of his mouth. It is a pity that APC could have such a man as its national chairman.”

Nwosu said it is unfortunate that Oshiomhole is the chairman of APC at a time when the party ought to “concentrate on winning the general election instead of being entangled in intra-party crisis”.
“My mandate is still intact, I still remain the candidate of the APC, I am very much shocked with the national chairman who is speaking from the both sides of his mouth as a man of that age I thought he would have been upright,” he said.

“I am shocked that a man who has attained that age and who we should look up to as our role model has become somebody who many of us can no longer see as a role model again. I am shocked at the attitude of the national chairman which does not give hope to young people that mostly look up to him for years.

“I will not leave APC, I still remain the authentic candidate of that party, I still have a valid court order restraining the party from submitting any other name and also restraining INEC from accepting any other name other than my name and the matter is in court.

“So if they go anywhere and got another court order without knowing that there is a subsisting court order, then that must have been done in error.
“So the fact remains that I am the candidate of APC, it is just for a while and I will take up my mandate, I don’t have in mind to leave the mandate I already have for another party. My candidacy is secured and cannot be truncated by the national chairman or any other person” he said.

There is no state in Nigeria without ongoing FG project – Osinbajo

Work ongoing on the 156km long Lagos-Ibadan Railway project.

The vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, on Saturday restated that the Federal Government had achieved a lot in all sectors of human development and democratic process.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Mr Osinbajo spoke at the 2017/2018 Barewa Old Boys Association annual lecture in Sokoto.
The vice president said that politicians had nothing to show for the lesson of the failure of the past administrations in the country as it happened.

“There is a lot of impunity that have been defined to public office in Nigeria, especially grand corruption which had been sanctioned under the present administration.
“I said grand corruption because our society had a problem of extended corruption affecting all government institutions and today has never been the case.

“Nigeria had in the past faced so much challenges of corruption in public offices with a lot of government money being stolen by individuals which the present administration blocked such instances,” he said.
Osinbajo added that the present administration under leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari had recorded tremendous success in the areas of security, agriculture, judiciary, legislature, among others.
“There is not a single state in Nigeria that is not undergoing a measure of FG project under the ministry of power, works and Housing.

“More so, clearly we have not done all we want to see, but if we are to ask our brothers and sisters from the North-East of what Boko-Haram seize 14 local government in their state, you will agree with me that they have seen some change.
“If we are to ask the farmers enjoying the credit and support by the FG programmes and getting a more suitable supply of fertilizer, perhaps they may say that they have seen some change.

“The over 500,000 graduates which have been employed under N-power programme, which is direct government employment, have been training in various fields to be useful for themselves.
“Also traders who are getting direct credit from the government to support their small scale businesses, they may say that we have seen some change,” he said.
The vice president further restated that the relationship between the executive and the National Assembly remained in good condition, as the executive had never stepped in to the affairs of legislative conduct.

“There had never been any attempt under the present administration to stamp the legislature as was experienced in the past administration.

“Moreover, Nigeria had five Senate Presidents between 1999 and 2007, which is very easy to forget. All of this and many more took place in very recent history.
“So, you will agree with me that a lot had changed at least with regard to political understanding,” Mr Osibanjo added.

Earlier, the Emir of Gummi, Lawal Gummi, presented a paper with a title “The challenges of Democracy to Judiciary: The Nigerian Perspectives.”
“We are yet to cultivate the right attitude that is needed to stabilise the process for our advance in democracy.
“The stunted growth that we are presently witnessing in our democracy is as a result of lack of discipline and non adherence to the basic tenets of democracy by our successive governments, over the years,” he said.
Gov. Aminu Tambuwal and the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, commended the vice president for attending the event and the organizers for the choice of the state.

I made political appointments fairly ― Buhari

Muhammadu Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has a stand that his administration has ensured even distribution of political appointments to reflect diverse interests across the country, regardless of the voting patterns of the 2015 presidential elections.

He made the assertion while receiving a delegation of Bassa Traditional Rulers and Elites led by His Royal Highness, Alhaji Bako Ebiredelu Dogwo, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Friday.

The President affirmed that the Nigerian constitution clearly maps out the need for representation in every government, and he had adhered strictly to the tenets of the law.

He noted that Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Science and Technology, Labour and Employment, and Industry, Trade and Investment emerged from states that he did not record many votes in 2015, but they were given strong portfolios in the cabinet based on their competence.

A statement issued by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity) quoted him as saying: “As humanly possible, I have tried to be fair to all. And I am very pleased that in spite of the complaints of technical marginalisation, you have agreed to vote for me in 2019.”

The President assured the delegation that he would look into the issue of poor representation of the Bassa people in government.

“Thank you for all the nice things you have said about me and the administration. I have taken note that you don’t have leadership in any of the parastatals,’’ he added.

In his remarks, the leader of the delegation said Bassa people had consistently voted for the President over the years, and “will do it again in 2019.”

“You are a great asset to Nigeria. The Bassa nation will use all the resources available to us to ensure you are re-elected in 2019,’’ he said.

The royal father said the President’s effort at securing the country was commendable, urging him to also sustain the anti-corruption war.

“We are happy with your administration, which is all inclusive without discrimination. Keep promoting equality,” he added.

He, however, called on the President to reciprocate the love and affection of the Bassa people, who are spread across Nasarawa, Kogi, Benue, Niger States and FCT, by ensuring that they get fair representation in government.

Men of the Edo State Police Command have arrested a 21-year old man, Samuel Emobor Oghenekporboro, for allegedly killing his mother and making love to her corpse several times for money ritual.
His 58 years old mother identified as Mrs Christiana Ighoyivwi was said to have been strangulated at their residence at 8B, Market road, Ologbo Community along Benin- Sapele road in Ikpoba-Okha local government area.

Man rapes his mom, 65, mother-in-law, 70

A 32-year-old man who had been raping women in Kaduna State, including his own mother, has, at last been, arrested by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Special Squad.

Currently detained at the Katari Police Division in Kaduna State, the suspect confessed that he had, on two occasions raped his own mother aged 65, and his mother in-law 70 in the dead of the night, while they were sleeping. .
.
He said his behaviour made his wife to abandon him for another man. David said: “I am a farmer and I was once married, but my wife abandoned me due to my penchant for raping old women. .
.
I don’t know if I am under a spell but whenever I am drunk, a spirit comes into me and I will be going around town looking for women to rape. ‘I have been beaten up over this issue severally, yet, I can’t still control myself whenever I get drunk. .
.
I raped my mother during our last Moroha Festival, when I got drunk. I couldn’t find any old woman to rape and when I got home, I found my mother sleeping and I penetrated and raped her.
.
.
My mother screamed when she saw me on top of her and our neighbours gathered. Everyone saw that I was drunk and when I became sober I begged her to forgive me and she accepted. .
.
Not long after that, I attended another festival in my wife’s community known as Mahuta and I became drunk again; in the dead of the night I went to my ex-wife mother’s house and found her sleeping and I raped her. .
.
When the woman woke up and saw me on top of her, she shouted and people came around, and caught me. I was given the beating of my life before I was asked to go. .
.
I don’t know what usually comes over me when I am drunk. That spirit is what normally pushes me to rape old women.”

It is heresy,i will never compare myself with Jesus Christ-Ortom reacts to campaign inscription comparing him with Jesus.

VEHICLE INSCRIPTION COMPARING ORTOM WITH JESUS UNACCEPTABLE
Benue state government has reacted to an inscription on a campaign vehicle that is currently trending on social media. This inscription has also attracted criticism and backlash from the general public.

A statement released from Government House and signed by Terver Akase ,CPS to the Governor dated 3rd Nov 2018,he condemned the inscription ,regarding it as heresy.Read the full statement

We have noted with dismay the circulation of the picture of a campaign vehicle which bears an inscription that compares the efforts of Governor Samuel Ortom for the people of Benue State and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for humanity.

As a Christian, Governor Ortom regards the inscription as heresy as he would never at any time equate himself with Jesus Christ.
The Governor has never instructed anyone to make such an inscription and wishes to dissociate himself from it.

He also urges the people of the State and other Nigerians to disregard the inscription which might be the imagination of an overzealous supporter or the fabrication of political opportunists.

Governor Ortom has directed that if indeed such a vehicle exists, the owner should be requested to erase the inscription.

The Governor urges his supporters to always employ decorum in engaging with members of the public.

Atiku comes for Tinubu for supporting Buhari

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, on Saturday lambasted a National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, for insisting on supporting President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election bid in 2019.

Abubakar, a former Vice President, warned that Tinubu’s alleged “arrogance will fall off his eyes” in 2019 because Nigerians will vote against Buhari.
The Waziri of Adamawa, who made this remark through the spokesperson of his campaign organisation, Segun Sowunmi, said Nigerians won’t allow Tinubu deceive them in 2019.
In a series of tweets, Sowunmi also reacted to the saga surrounding the West Africa Examination Council, WAEC, certificate of Buhari.

Sowunmi wrote: “It is only a man of questionable pedigree whose certificate are dogged with a lot of confusion, whose parental background is pretty much unknown, whose state of origin is opaque and unclear that can understand how life is in the jungle.”

He continued, “If Asiwaju Bola Tinubu means that his life is in jungle, we want to say to him that pride goes before a fall. Those who disdain men that are going to contend with them for the goodwill and votes of the Nigerian people with careless talk is what we find even with Buhari.

“I pity him (Tinubu) because his arrogance will fall-off his eyes like a scale when the votes are counted in 2019.
“Let him just understand that nobody is going to allow them run a chaotic, opaque and corruption-marred election. Let me also tell them that INEC will not help them. We shall all meet on the day of the election.

“Bola can deceive himself but Nigerians are not easily deceived.”

Image result for nwosu and oshiomole
Uche Nwosu, a former Chief of staff and son-inlaw to Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has declared that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomole, cannot scuttle his 2019 governorship ambition.

Nwosu said this in reaction to report that Senator Hope Uzodimma’s name has been submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as the party’s candidate for the Imo APC governorship election.

Speaking with journalists in Owerri, the state capital, yesterday, Nwosu expressed shock that Oshiomole was allegedly speaking from both sides of his mouth regarding who is the authentic APC candidate in the state.

According to Nwosu, “My mandate is still intact, I still remain the candidate of the APC, I am very much shocked with the National Chairman who is speaking from the both sides of his mouth as a man of that age I thought he would have been upright.

“I am shocked that a man who has attained that age and who we should look up to as our role model has become somebody who many of us can no longer see as a role model again.

“I am shocked at the attitude of the National Chairman which does not give hope to young people that mostly look up to him for years.

“So if they go anywhere and got another Court Order without knowing that there is a subsisting Court Order that must have been done that in error.

“So the fact remains that I am the candidate of APC, it is just for a while and I will take up my mandate, I don’t have in mind to leave the mandate I already have for another party.”

“My candidacy is secured and cannot be truncated by the National Chairman or any other person,

“I will never abandon the mandate given to him by the party members to be their governorship candidate for the 2019 election.

“We are disappointed over Oshiomole’s action, his statements and antics did not give hope to young people who hitherto had always looked up to him.

Lady vows to stand by cheating husband who stabbed her

A 21-year-old woman, Shannon Barnard, was stabbed 46 times by her cheating husband, Michael and suffered multiple injuries to her limbs and body, including her lungs, liver and bowels.

Both her lungs collapsed and she has also been left with substantial scarring which may require skin grafts.

Mrs Barnard, who spent 17 days in hospital, later told police she felt ‘every blow’ and thought she would die, with doctors saying she was ‘extremely fortunate’ to have survived.

But in an unbelievable twist, a Maidstone Crown Court in Kent heard yesterday that she has forgiven her husband and plans to start a family with him on his release from prison.

Speaking during Barnard’s sentencing hearing for attempted murder, she replied when asked how she saw their future:

‘Just to be together and have the life that we both want with each other and have a family.’

The court heard she had also been visiting Barnard in prison ‘on every occasion possible’, and plans to see him twice weekly now he has enhanced status.

She agreed with his barrister David Taylor that he had told her he was sorry and how much he loved her, and when asked if she forgave him, Mrs Barnard replied: ‘Of course.’

Jailing Barnard, Judge Philip Statman said: ‘Your wife was extraordinarily lucky to have survived this ordeal.

‘The reason why she did so was down to the very quick medical response together with the extraordinary skill of the surgeons who undoubtedly in my judgment saved her life.

In a video posted online, Sunday alleged that some persons, believed to be assassins, came to their home on the day of the incident and killed the deceased.

They blew my face and neck and then started to drag me on the floor. They asked me where was chief? I used to call him Oga. So I asked them who be chief? I told them Chief is inside his room. They said where is his wife? I said his wife had gone out. They told me if I don’t say the truth, they would kill me. They blew me again and immediately I pointed to Chief’s room” he said

Twitter deletes 10,000 accounts discouraging voting

Twitter and Facebook delete some fake news accounts

Twitter Inc deleted more than 10,000 automated accounts posting messages that discouraged people from voting in  U.S. election.

The accounts wrongly appeared to be from Democrats, after the party flagged the misleading tweets to the social media company.

“We took action on relevant accounts and activity on Twitter,” a Twitter spokesman said in an email. The removals took place in late September and early October.

Twitter removed more than 10,000 accounts, according to three sources familiar with the Democrats’ effort. The number is modest, considering that Twitter has previously deleted millions of accounts it determined were responsible for spreading misinformation in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

Yet the removals represent an early win for a fledgling effort by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, or DCCC, a party group that supports Democrats running for the U.S. House of Representatives.

The DCCC launched the effort this year in response to the party’s inability to respond to millions of accounts on Twitter and other social media platforms that spread negative and false information about Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and other party candidates in 2016, three people familiar with the operation told Reuters.

While the prevalence of misinformation campaigns have so far been modest in the run-up to the Congressional elections on Nov. 6, Democrats are hoping the flagging operation will help them react quickly if there is a flurry of such messages in the coming days.

The Tweets included ones that discouraged Democratic men from voting, saying that would drown out the voice of women, according to two of the sources familiar with the flagging operation.

The DCCC developed its own system for identifying and reporting malicious automated accounts on social media, according to the three party sources.

The system was built in part from publicly available tools known as “Hoaxley” and “Botometer” developed by University of Indiana computer researchers. They allow a user to identify automated accounts, also known as bots, and analyze how they spread information on specific topics.

“We made Hoaxley and Botometer free for anyone to use because people deserve to know what’s a bot and what’s not,” said Filippo Menczer, professor of informatics and computer science at the University of Indiana.

The Democratic National Committee works with a group of contractors and partners to rapidly identify misinformation campaigns.

They include RoBhat Labs, a firm whose website says it has developed technology capable of detecting bots and identifying political-bias in messages.

The collaboration with RoBhat has already led to the discovery of malicious accounts and posts, which were referred to social media companies and other campaign officials, DNC Chief Technology Officer Raffi Krikorian said in email.

What Buhari’s attestation certificate from WAEC has caused – Dele Momodu

Media mogul, Dele Momodu has reacted to issuance of attestation certificate and confirmation of school certificate result from the West African Examination Council, WAEC to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Recall that Buhari had been under attacks after he failed to submit his credentials to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as various presidential candidates’ credentials were made available.

Buhari only submitted an affidavit wherein he claimed that his credential was with the Secretary of the Military Board.

However, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, on Friday announced that President Muhammadu Buhari had received an attestation certificate and confirmation of school certificate result from the West African Examination Council, WAEC.

This however stirred reactions as some Nigerians questioned the authenticity of the results.

Reacting, Momodu, in a post on his Twitter page, said Buhari’s attestation from WAEC has caused more distractions than solutions.

According to him, the purpose of displaying the certificate to the public by the presidency has not douced doubts.

The media mogul wrote: “I think this Buhari attestation by WAEC has caused more distractions than solution; he should have maintained the status quo because it is almost impossible to convince the doubting Thomases that litter everywhere in Nigeria.”

How I was offered private Jet, $2m to rig Imo primary election

The Chairman of the Imo State governorship primaries of the party which produced Senator Hope Uzodinma as the governorship candidate of the party, Ahmed Gulak, has revealed that he rejected to be flown on private jet and $2m as bribe to rig the primaries.
Gulak stated this when he addressed reporters in Abuja, adding that even though the offer was so tempting, he rejected it in order to do the right thing.

According to him, he had to persuade the parties that he was going to do the needful and conduct a free and fair primary.

He said he was happy because the party had vindicated him by insisted on the outcome of the primaries his panel held.

”Naturally, even before I went to Imo State, I was offered a private jet to take me to Imo state but I refused because I didn’t want to be compromised.
”I refused the private jet and even the tempting offer made to me, very tempting, we are talking about two million dollars here, which I refused.
”Although, I tried to persuade them that I was going to do what is needful, free and fair primaries. Every stakeholder must be involved.

”Immediately we landed at the airport, that was where the problem started. They wanted to kidnap every member and only God knows where they wanted to take us to, which I refused.

”And to say the least, I pity the Imo people but they have to take their destiny in their own hands and elect who they feel will represent them well. I am not from Imo state but I am a Nigerian.

”There is equality and there is equity. Some of our governors, I am sorry to say this, they take state resources as their personal resources and we know that power is transient.

After four or eight years you are out of power and the system will get you.

”But having said that, I am happy that the party has vindicated me and I know it is the best decision for the people of Imo state.”
