You Can Not Wear Skimpy Clothes To Dubai Marina Mall Again.Find out.

Appropriate dress code

Dubai shoppers have being told to wear 'respectful' clothing that covers the shoulders and knees at all times.Advice cards ordering shoppers to cover up at a Dubai shopping mall have been branded 'unfair' and 'humiliating' by tourists and ex-pats.
In the latest crackdown on those who flout the United Arab Emirates' strict dress code, security guards at Dubai Marina Mall, have been handing out the cards to men and women who are deemed to be dressed inappropriately.

The blue cards tell customers to wear 'respectful clothing' that covers the shoulders and knees at all times. The cards also explain what is considered acceptable clothing, and what is not.

Although signs asking shoppers to follow the dress code have been put up at the mall's entrances, staff say they are either not being read, or people are deliberately ignoring them.
One employee, who asked not to be named, said: 'We put up a lot of posters, but everyone ignores them, This is the only way to tell people directly.'

According to The National, 'dozens of women' at the mall yesterday were breaching the rules by showing off their shoulders and knees.

Suntai Begs For Out Of Court Settlement After Withdrawing Case AgainstThe State Assembly.

suntai

Taraba State governor, Danbaba Suntai, has withdrawn his case against the state House of Assembly over the disputed governorship seat of the state. The ailing governor, through his counsel, Alex Iziyon (SAN), yesterday entered a plea for an out of court settlement on the case the governor instituted last month challenging the Assembly’s rejection of his resumption letter.
Governor Suntai, who returned to the country in August after 10 months of medical sojourn in Germany and the United States, had transmitted a letter to the Speaker, informing Taraba lawmakers of his resumption of duty, but the letter was said to have been rejected by the legislators on grounds of its authenticity.
Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Haruna Tsokwa and 15 other lawmakers were said to have doubted Governor Suntai’s authorship of the letter, thereby setting it aside and mandating the Deputy Governor, Garba Umar, to continue to act as governor of the state. Dissatisfied, Governor Suntai approached the Taraba High Court seeking the court to determine by way of interpretation, whether section 190 (2) of the 1999 Constitution as amended confers any power(s) on the state House of Assembly to debate his letter or not as it did.
At the last sitting, counsels to the state Assembly and the Speaker, Yusuf Ali (SAN) and Yusufu Akirikwen, respectively challenged the court’s jurisdiction to hear the matter; thereafter the trial judge, Justice Ali Andeyangtu, adjourned to September 30, 2013 for ruling. At the resumed sitting yesterday, Barrister Elijah Nyaro, who held brief for the plaintiff’s counsel, Alex Iziyon (SAN) filed a plea, seeking the suspension of proceedings to enable the parties involved in the dispute to explore an out of court settlement and was granted.
Granting his prayers, Justice Andeyangtu said; “Even though the ruling is ready, since the plaintiff ’s counsel has requested for time to settle out of court and the defense counsel did not object to it, I therefore adjourn the case to October 28.This is to enable them settle the dispute as brothers for peaceful coexistence,” he stated.
Governor Suntai, his aide-de-camp and two others were involved in a plane crash piloted by him (Suntai) near Yola, Adamawa State in 2012. Meanwhile, the detained Senior Special Assistant to Governor Suntai on Media, Silvanus Giwa, was yesterday granted bail by the police following his arrest and detention last week.

Defence Hqtrs Approves Burial Of Factional MEND Leader John Togo Who Was Killed By JTF In 2011.

The Defence Headquarters has given the go-ahead for the burial of a notorious sea piracy kingpin and leader of the Niger Delta Liberation Force (NDLF), John Togo, over two years after he was killed in a clash with troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF) in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State.

The Nation reliably gathered that the JTF has received the approval to release the body of the crime lord to relevant authority for burial.

Sources said the delay in burying the scar-face militant, who was a factional leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), was due to the Federal Government’s directives that a DNA test be carried out on his decomposing remains.

Togo was killed in an aerial assault by the Airforce arm of the JTF in May 2011 after a five-month stand-off between his ragtag army and troops of the JTF.

He died after he renounced the Amnesty Programme of the Federal Government in November 2010, took up arms and went back to the trenches with a handful of his fellow NDLF members.

He triggered a furious manhunt when he ambushed and killed about six soldiers of a JTF team near Ayakoromo in November 2010; the incident led to the invasion of the community and burning down of about 50 houses in the Ijaw community.

Thereafter, the JTF intensified manhunt for him and his boys, who were encamped at the ‘Israel Camp’ of the group in an isolated boundary area between Bayelsa and Delta states.

He was killed after months of bloody clashes and his gang members buried his remains in a shallow grave before fleeing the scene.

His body was later exhumed when the JTF sent in ground troops, who arrested one of the fleeing militants who led them to his burial site.

The remains could not be buried due to the military’s insistence that a DNA must be conducted to properly identify his body before the manhunt launched for him would be officially called off.

The DNA test, which confirmed the remains as that of Togo, was carried out leading to the recent approval given for his burial.

A top official of the JTF in Effurun Barracks, Capt. Mohammed Abdulahi, was contacted by our reporter, confirmed the report.

He said: “It is true that approval has been given for the burial of Togo, but it is not the task of the JTF to bury him, the body will be released to the Police.”

A source at the JTF’s headquarters, Yenagoa said the approval came last Wednesday.

Styling Size Up-2015 Mercedes Benz GLA Class.Wooow! ! !.

The Mercedes Benz GLA compact sport utility vehicle was one of the star attractions at the just concluded International Motor Show, IAA, in Frankfurt, where it celebrated its world premiere. The all-new Mercedes Benz GLA class brings to five the number of premium sport utility vehicles in the Mercedes Benz passenger car line-up. The others include the GLK, GL, ML and G-Class.

It's tough to get very excited about these new Benz range ,they keep coming and going but this new Mercedes Benz GLA is the bomb ,well-sculpted or equipped. In the case of the  new GLA Class which comes with A Class hatchback. It reminds me of BMW X6

The GLA CLass has taken most of the A Class formula and re-configured it into a package more palatable,it's taller, more soft-road suitable, and it will only come in the GLA 250 flavor for the market, powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder rated at 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.

You can't resist it.....

Hop into my GLA let's cruise town ,am glad I drove a Benz, though a C-Class ,but this one is baaaad.......

Three Teenagers Arrested For Attempting To Illegally Board Some International Flights at Lagos airport.

The Airport Command of the Nigeria Police Force has arrested three teenagers for allegedly attempting to illegally board some international flights in Lagos.

Commissioner of Police for the command, Salahu Waheed, said the suspects, Lateef Popoola, 13; Amadi Joshua, 14; and Ukpabio Onyedikachi, 14, were arrested at different times at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja.

Waheed, while handing over the suspects to their mothers, said there was a need for their respective state governments to rehabilitate them like the Edo State Government did with teenage stowaway, Daniel Ihekina, who was arrested on August 24, 2013 after sneaking into the tyre compartment of a Lagos-bound Arik plane.

He said, “These boys were found at different times at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. Their aim was to get into any plane and travel out of Nigeria.

“I decided to hand them over to their parents so they will be well taken care of and stop dwelling on the fantasy that you can just come into the airport, enter a plane and travel.

“Their state governments should try to rehabilitate them just like Edo State did for the stowaway in Benin.

“Lateef Popoola is from Ogun State; Amadi Joshua is from Ebonyi while Ukpabio Onyedikachi is from Abia State.

“The airport is not a place that you can just come into and travel. There are formalities. We don’t want to see these children here again.”

The teenagers, who spoke to PUNCH Metro, said they had been nursing the idea of travelling abroad, adding that they were not ready to execute their plans yet.

Lateef said he went to the tarmac to observe how aeroplanes take off and land.

He said he was able to gain access to the runaway by sneaking into an airport apron bus, but was arrested shortly after alighting.

He said, “I am not in school, I dropped out in Primary three. I was arrested last week Wednesday. I actually wanted to travel but I have yet to decided where I will go. So, I just went to the tarmac to see the aeroplanes.”

Lateef’s grandmother, Adunni, said she had no idea that her grandson was nursing the idea of travelling out of the country. She said she had been responsible for his upkeep  since his mother abandoned him at infancy.

“I did not know that he wanted to travel. I just did not  see him last week and I started looking for him all over the place. It was on Saturday that I finally found out that he had been arrested,” she said.

Onyedikachi and Joshua were said to have been arrested after asking some security agents where Malaysia flights were boarding.

After being questioned, the boys, who were both in SS1, said they had no travel documents and were immediately arrested.

Police said Onyedikachi’s brother was in Malaysia and it was possible that the teenager wanted to travel out to see his brother.

Onyedikachi, however said, “We were at the departure area of the airport. We did not attempt to travel out. We were just loitering and wanted to see the aeroplanes. We did not want to travel out on that day.”

Onyedikachi’s mother berated her son for his escapade. She said she had warned him and Joshua to be well behaved at all times.

She said, “I had no knowledge of what they did. Onyedikachi is well taken care of and is not suffering. I don’t know what pushed him to do this.”
