Offa Robbery: AGF Malami writes IGP Idris, says Saraki is innocent

The Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, in a letter to the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has said that there no evidence linking the Senate President, Bukola Saraki to the Offa robbery.

Over 30 people, including policemen were killed when armed robbers attacked several banks in Offa on April 5, 2018.

Following investigations, the gang leader, Michael Adikwu and his team members were arrested and they reportedly made confessional statements.

One of the gang members known as Ayodele Akinnibosun allegedly confessed that he has been making 'political arrangement' for Saraki and the Kwara state Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed for years.

As a result of the confessional statement, the police invited the Senate President for questioning.

AGF’s letter

However, the letter obtained by Premium Times dated June 29, 2018, shows that the AGF advised the police not to identify Saraki as a suspect in the robbery.

Malami also cleared Yusuf Abdulwahab, the chief of staff to the Kwara state Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, of any involvement in the robbery.

The AGF, in the letter said that there is no ‘collaborative evidence’ linking Abdulwahab to the incident.

Orders case returned to Kwara

Malami, who recommended that the other suspects be charged to court for robbery and murder, ordered the police to return the case to Kwara state.

The police had earlier insisted that the suspects will be tried in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

Premium Times also reports that “Mr Malami warned a police chief in charge of the armed robbery investigation to desist from offering ‘condescending opinions’ to the AGF’s office.

“David Ogbodo, an assistant inspector-general of police, had suggested in the second police submission that Mr Malami should step aside in the case and detail a senior Nigerian lawyer to handle prosecutorial advice.

“Mr Malami said his office had dispassionately prosecuted several cases that were successful, and warned Mr Igbodo to desist from making official comments that could be deemed as “disparaging” to the office of the AGF.”

Adiukwu’s death

The AGF’s June 29 letter also stated that Michael Adikwu died in police custody shortly after he was arrested.

The Nigerian police broke the news of Adikwu's death to the office of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Kwara on Tuesday, November 20, 2018

On Thursday, November 22, 2018, police spokesman, Jimoh Moshood explained that the robbery suspect slumped while he was in custody.

Senate President Bukola  Saraki has however called  for a judicial inquiry to the cause of the Offa robbery principal suspect’s death.

Imo State Accountant General Suspended Over LG Workers Pay

Gov. Rochas Okorocha

The Accountant-General of Imo State, Mrs. Stella Udogwu has been suspended by the State Governor, Rochas Okorocha over non-payment of the November salary of Local Government Workers.
The governor also ordered the arrest of the Branch-Managers of Ecobank and Access Bank where money for the payment was lodged, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Sam Onwuemeodo, stated in a release on Friday.
The governor said that the suspension of the accountant-general would take effect immediately directed that the Chief of Staff appoint an acting accountant-general pending the appointment of a new person to the office.
Okorocha said before now he had directed that the October and November salaries of workers in the state be paid at the same time in October.
He said he was dismayed that the directive was not carried out until he was informed at the 40th Anniversary ceremony of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Owerri on Friday.
“I had released the salaries of every worker in Imo State since the second week of October and so if Local Government workers are being owed, then somebody must take responsibility for it and will be dealt with according to law.
“This is a criminal act aimed at disgracing this government; what they do is that they take the money and put in the bank and collect the interest.”

The governor said he assumed the directive was carried out but was surprised to be told by the leadership of NULGE during the celebration that the workers had not been paid.
He further directed that the November and December salary of workers be paid on Monday since Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 fell on a weekend.
“Your salary must be released and your December Salary shall be paid immediately. All the interests from the salary kept in the bank must be collected and shared to the Local Government workers who are the owners of the money,” the governor said.
Okorocha also announced that each worker would get N10,000 as Christmas bonus and that each local government director of administration and general services would receive N2.5m as car allowance.
He also said that staff of Local Government Service Commission could rise to GL 17 without having to convert to be staff of the ministry to get to the grade.
“From today there won’t be any need for any Local Government worker to try to convert to the Ministry to be able to get to level 17 or become a permanent secretary.
“Today, I have officially lifted the embargo on Local Government staff getting to level 17. Henceforth, staff of the Local Government Service Commission will be promoted to level 17 when they are due for it.”
Earlier, the South -East Vice-President of NULGE, Mr Patrick Igwe, expressed appreciation for the reprieve granted 3,000 workers listed to be sacked.
“This is uncommon in our chequered history. When others were negotiating on how to pay N18,000 minimum wage, you went further to pay N20,000 and we know that once agreement is reached on the new minimum wage, you will be the first to pay.”
The President of Imo State Chapter of NULGE, Mr Richard Eze, pledged the support of the Local Government employees in the state for Mr Uche Nwosu’s governorship ambition in 2019.
Nwosu is the son-in-law of the governor whom he has been insisting is the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress for the election.

Atiku’s visa status confidential – US official

A US Official, Brussel Brooks who responded to questions from journalist as he attended a programme in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Friday, stated that PDP’s Presidential Candidate, Atiku’s visa status is confidential.

The Public Affairs Officer of the US Consulate in Lagos who called on candidates at all levels, from presidential to House of Assembly elections, to focus on issue-based campaigns instead of dwelling on things that were not important to the well-being of Nigerians, stated that matters relating to the application for or issuance of visa to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, or any other individual was a confidential matter.

“The position of the US Mission has remained the same throughout any discussion on this issue that visas are a confidential matter.

“We don’t discuss visa status of any person, whether it be a highly rated official, a presidential candidate or an average citizen.

“Anyone who applies for a visa should know that there will be some records that are confidential. It is classified as a private document by the United States Government, and we never discuss them in public” he said.

The US official further told Nigerians to ask the candidates their plan to improve the education sector.

“Oftentimes, unfortunately, campaigns are full of distractions; things that are not that important to the lives and welfare of average Nigerians, especially the children that are with us today. What is important is to give them (children) the opportunities to serve in order to thrive in today’s world.

“This means they need good education. The schools should be improved. When I heard about the letter from the students describing their lack of books and dearth of desks in their schools, this is very disheartening. There are things that should be corrected.

“I will also encourage parents and voters to ask the candidates what they plan to do to improve education. I think issue-based campaigns will be beneficial to all Nigerians” he said.

The Electoral Act is not about Buhari. It is not about Atiku. It is about Nigeria. Why is the President and the APC afraid to sign the amended Electoral Act to law?-Buba Galadima

Alhaji Buba Galadima, estranged political ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, has said the President would never sign the amended Electoral Act because of the influence some elements bent on rigging the 2019 election have on him.

Galadima stated this on Friday night when he appeared on Politics Today, a flagship programme on Channels TV.

He said the scenario playing out in which the President will fail to assent the amendments to the Electoral Act ahead of the coming general elections was unacceptable to Nigerians.

According to him, signing the amended electoral laws was morally binding on the President since he was a beneficiary of some lacunas in the Act which the amendments sought to address and legalise.

His words: “The Electoral Act is not about Buhari. It is not about Atiku. It is about Nigeria. Why is the President and the APC afraid to sign the amended Electoral Act to law?

“Since 2010 when the Act was signed into law, there are a lot of developments and observations in the political system that needs to be addressed in this election.

“We know for a fact that I have spoken in the last one year that the President will not sign the amended Electoral Act not because he is not ready to do it but because he is forced by those who want to rig the (2019) election not to do it.

“This is not acceptable to the majority of Nigerians. We know that the President benefited from certain elements of the Electoral Act which are not justifiable in law. It is now morally binding on him to sign the Electoral Act.”

President Trump's daughter ,Tiffany is dating a Nigerian guy , Michael Boulos...

Tiffany Trump is reportedly dating a wealthy billionaire scion from Nigeria. Tiffany, 25, is believed to be the first of President Donald Trump's children to date a minority.

Sources tell Page Six that Tiffany is dating Michael Boulos, who grew up in Nigeria -- one of the nations Trump slammed as a "sh-thole country."

A source tells Page Six that Tiffany met Boulos while on vacation in Mykonos, Greece.

Boulos is the wealthy scion of a well-connected family that owns a multi billion-dollar conglomerate that trades in vehicles, heavy equipment, retail and construction.

Tiffany and Boulos's relationship flourished and Tiffany invited Boulos to the Trumps' Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida for Thanksgiving.

Boulos grew up in Lagos, Nigeria where he and his brother attended an elite international school. His brother is an actor and rapper who performs as Farastafari.

Tiffany is President Trump's youngest daughter. Her mother is wealthy 55-year-old socialite Marla Maples, who was Trump's second wife. Trump and Maples divorced in 1999.

President Trump was criticized for referring to Haiti and Nigeria as "sh-thole countries" during a meeting on immigration at the White House in January.

A source told Page Six: "Tiffany is happy she has so far been able to keep things with Boulos under the radar. But she introduced him to her family at Thanksgiving, and he comes across as a very intelligent young man from a great family."

“Don’t Die Of Heart Attack When Atiku Walks On Red-carpet In US” – Timi Frank

A onetime Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Timi Frank, today November 30th slammed the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed for cautioning the United States, US, against granting visa to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Rubbishing the remark by Mohammed, Frank said Nigerians will “joyfully elect Abubakar in the forthcoming elections and not Americans.”

In a statement, the former APC spokesperson reminded the Minister that the American government does not believe in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari which has since been described as “lifeless” by President Donald Trump.

Frank stated that the Waziri of Adamawa has “become a nightmare and a sleepless tablet for the government of APC,” hence the “total loss of common senses by some of its officials.”

Frank warned Mohammed and other “APC’s apologists against heart attack when they later see Atiku Abubakar, being received on a red carpet very soon in the United States of America.”

While challenging APC government to provide just one evidence of corruption perpetrated by Atiku Abubakar, Frank said the same failed government that said the Waziri Adamawa could not visit America was already “jittery now that Atiku is poised to prove them wrong.”

According to Frank, it was easier for the Minister to, “bring APC to power with lies and propaganda against President Goodluck Jonathan but it is now impossible to sustain the lies because of their obvious failures.”

The statement reads, “Why is Lai Mohammed speaking from both sides of the mouth? The Minister is about to lose his job that’s why he is talking like someone under the influence of codeine or tramadol. The simple advice for Mr. Mohammed’s close allies is to get him tested for probably the negative effects of banned substances.

“At this stage, it is too late to stop America from granting Atiku entry Visa because the country has confirmed that it has nothing against the Presidential candidate of the PDP.

“Instead of this clueless government to seek for help from the American government in fighting the resurgent Boko Haram and fully liberate the people of the North-east from the hands of insurgents, what is more important to Lai Mohammad and the APC’s government is the issuance of U.S. Visa to Atiku.

“The American government will not fall for propaganda from a lifeless government like that of APC and President Muhammadu Buhari in granting Visa to anybody because it is a place where rule of law is strictly adhered to.

“Unlike a lawless APC government that attempts to disallow rain from dropping on the rooftops of political opponents, the America government is built on trust, fairness, justice and the fear of God,” Frank replied Mohammed.

Gov Obiano suffers domestic violence as his wife Ebele allegedly fought him dirty in public and tore his shirt over mistress.

Willie Obiano & Wife, Ebele.

According to Precious Eze's Blog.

Willie Obiano is a victim of domestic violence after his wife Ebele  allegedly abused him physically.

The blog posted this below

I had always told everyone around me that the wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Lady Ebele Osodieme Obiano is a very crazy woman whose violence mood is second to none, even as it is consistently obvious that her husband, Willie Obiano seem to be going through huge domestic violence in her hands than can ever be imagined.

Governor Willie Obiano for those who know him, is a man of less words, but the level of humiliation he faces in the hands of the woman, who actually is his second wife after his first died over questionable circumstances is gradually becoming very worrisome and his friends say they are not even allowed to give words of advice, because the wife is seemingly in total control of the man and how he lives his life.

For those who know and see the governor on a regular basis, it is very noticeable that his wife beats him and violets him all the time, as he is carrying a regular black eye that never clears everytime you see him.

The recent outburst of Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano shocked people who were present when it happened, as she fought and tore the clothes of the governor at a public function in the state capital, Awka.

It is alleged that a lady friend of the governor whom we gathered the governor is recklessly in love with defiles all odds to attend an event at the state house and on sighting the lady, the wife of the governor went bizarre, went straight to her husband, grabbed him and had his shirt torn to pieces in the presence of state functionaries and guests who came to honour the governor.

Embarrassing moments such as this has become a regular occurrence in the government circle in Ananbra State, as the governor’s wife has vowed to make life unbearable for the governor if she sees him with any other woman, especially  within the circle of government in the state and would embarrass him anytime he messes up around the state.

Which woman would embarrass a state governor after making him pass through domestic violence in the home front, beating and giving him permanent black eyes, and without minding who was watching or the calibre of individuals present at the event, would walk up-to to her husband who is a governor, pounced on him, tearing his shirt and raining curses on both of them in public?

Everyone present at the event, including the governors security details were all shocked, not because of the madness displayed by the wife of the governor, as it has become a recurrent decimal in the state for Mrs. Ebele Obiona to beat her husband, but to bring such madness to the public where individuals of high reputation was, took everyone present aback.

We therefore plead that Governor Willie Obiano speaks out very quickly before his wife kills him or simply reduce or withdraw the powers she enjoys as wife of governor in the state, same way his predecessor, Mr. Peter Obi did.
