Turkey Arrests Journalists Who Exposed Shipments Of Arms To Syria.






The Turkish judiciary has arrested Cumhuriyet editor-in-chief Can Dündar, along with the daily's Ankara bureau chief, Erdem Gül, accusing them of espionage, revealing classified documents and being members of a terrorist organization.

Today's Zaman reported on November 27 that the two journalists were summoned on Wednesday to testify in the probe launched into a Cumhuriyet investigative report in May. The report alleged arms were being transferred from Turkey to Syria in trucks operated by the National Intelligence Organization (MIT).

Ortom Denies Interfering In David Mark's Judgement......[I think these Aides like attention].





The Benue state government has debunked insinuations that it interfered in the judgement of the Appeal Court that nullified the election of senator David Mark, the immediate past senate president today, November 28.
The petitioner, Mr Daniel Onjeh had approached the Appeal court that the March 28 Benue south senatorial district election was marred by irregularities when the lower court ruled in David Mark’s favour.

President Of Dangote Group of Companies, Alhaji Aliko Dangote has pledged to construct a 500 megawatt power plant for Kano, Katsina, Jigawa and Kaduna states.
In his address at the 36th Kano Trade Fair held in Kano, the executive director stakeholders management, Engr. Mansur Ahmad who represented Aliko Dangote at the occasion stated that power plant is a deliberate attempt to support local economy and wealth creation.

APC Senatorial Candidate,Daniel Onjeh And His Supporters Jubilating After The Court Of Appeal Judgement.



The Court of Appeal, Makurdi Division, today annulled the election of the immediate past Senate President, Senator David Mark while ordering a rerun within 90 days.
This is sequel to the Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu led trial panel which had on October 7, 2015 dismissed Onjeh’s petition on the ground that evidences tendered before the tribunal were documentary hearsay evidences.

Lagos State Government on Friday shut down the popular Shoprite retail store located at Ikeja Shopping Mall, in the state. The move was made over alleged violation of safety law by the store.

Senior Officers Reject Roli Bode-George As Acting Chairman Of NDLEA.





A palpable crisis is currently brewing as senior officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have vowed not to recognise the appointment of Roli Bode-George as chairman of the agency.
Following the retirement of Ahmadu Giade from the NDLEA, after serving ten years as Chairman, some top officials of the agency were reported to have written a petition rejecting the appointment of Mrs. Bode-George as the new acting Chairman saying, “her appointment is unacceptable because she is not an employee of the NDLEA.”

EFCC Arrests ‘Pastor’ For N200m Alleged Fraud.


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has picked up one ‘Pastor’ Jonathan for allegedly obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N200m.
The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, said in a statement on Friday that the suspect had earlier jumped bail but was rearrested by operatives of the commission in a sting operation on Thursday.

Mother Of Samson Siasia Regains Freedom From Kidnappers.





The mother of Nigeria Under-23 head coach, Madam Beauty Ogere Siasia, has regained her freedom after two weeks of being held captive by suspected kidnappers.
The Bayelsa State police public relations officer, ASP Butswat Asinim, confirmed the development of the release of Samson Siasia’s mother by her abductors on Saturday.
Asinim revealed that Mrs Siasia was rescued at about 1.30am on Saturday following an operation by the Bayelsa State Police Command.

Ringleader Of Paris Attacks Planned More Strikes, Mocked Open Borders.

Don Lampoons Critics Of Buhari’s Frequent Travels.

An  Enugu-based constitutional lawyer, Prof. Race Achara had lampooned those criticising the frequent travels of President Muhammadu Buhari, saying that they are not more patriotic than the President over issues concerning the country.
Achara said yesterday that it was wrong to criticise the president over the trips, as he had not embarked on any for “pleasure or other personal needs despite his age.”

The tanker was owned by a major oil marketer, Conoil Plc and the incident occurred along Tunga town, Minna.

APC Senators Eat Humble Pie As Ekweremadu Presides Over The Senate.



Senators of the All Progressives Congress, under the aegis of Unity Forum, on Wednesday failed to make good their threat to boycott all senate sessions presided by the deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The Unity Forum consists of senators opposed to the election of senate president, Bukola Saraki, and his deputy Mr. Ekweremadu, who belongs to the opposition PDP.
The forum is led by Ahmed Lawan, Mr. Saraki’s challenger for the senate president’s position.

3500 Male Prostitutes Uncovered In Abuja.



The National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) says its recent finding has identified about 3500 male sex workers within the Abuja city centre.
The agency added that it is worried by this figures because over 60 per cent of these men are married raising the concern of spouse HIV transmission.
