all-out for her that night, she decided to leave for her mother’s house.

Richard Finlayson, 21, and his younger sister Kirsty, 18, were caught having intercourse at Motherwell train station in Lanarkshireon June 27 last year.
The pair, both from Lanarkshire, pleaded guilty to the charge at an earlier hearing.
Incest: Richard and Kirsty admitted the sordid act which was caught on CCTV
In court: Richard Finlayson, left, arrived at Hamilton
Sheriff Court for sentencing for having sex with his sister, Kirsty.
Both tried to cover their faces as they arrived at the Lanarkshire court
And today Richard
was put on a probation order for two years, which will be reviewed in
six months to decide whether he should receive sexual offender
counselling.
The former soldier must also abide by the terms of the Sex Offenders Act for two years.
Kirsty,
who was 17 at the time of the offence, was also given a probation order
for one year and will receive counselling regarding mental health,
substance abuse and employment issues
Sentencing them at Hamilton
Sheriff Court today, Sheriff Ray Small said the publicity the case had
brought meant the pair's lives were now 'in ruins'.
Childhood: Kirsty, two, and brother Richard, aged five, in a family photograph
Both brother and sister have blamed each other for what happened.
After admitting the sex act, Kirsty claimed she was drunk and couldn't remember it.
A railway worker at the station raised the alarm after they were filmed in the elevator by station CCTV cameras.
The 15-minute clip showed them leaving the lift, only to return to have sex for a second time.
Sordid encounter: The Finlaysons
were spared jail after being caught committing incest in this lift at
Motherwell train station in Lanarkshire
Speaking to the Scottish Sun, she said the incident has left her unable to sleep and destroyed her family.
She added: 'I've been made out to be a monster and have had to deal with people calling me a prostitute.
'It's changed my life forever. I wish I could turn back time.'
Kirsty was living in a homeless hostel at the time of the offence and said she'd gone to meet Richard to borrow money.
She said they were waiting on the platform for his train home when she drunkenly suggested going outside for a cigarette.
They both went into the lift — and within a matter of seconds started to have sex after he suggested it.
Richard, who was discharged from the Army because of a knee injury, blamed his little sister, saying: 'This was the biggest mistake of my life.'
He insisted it was a drunk Kirsty who had initiated sex in the lift and said he just 'went along with it'.
The pair were convicted of committing incest under section 1(1) of the Criminal Law (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 1995.
Nigerian Man Jailed For Life Over Former Friends Murder In The Uk.
Raymond Iriogbe
Deceased: Felix Akhigbe
A man who stabbed his former friend to death has been jailed for life.
Raymond Iriogbe, 49, of Carlton Road, Nottingham, has been found
guilty of murder following a trial at Nottingham Crown Court, and
sentenced to serve a minimum of 26 years.
He stabbed Felix Akhigbe, 35, of Beauvale Road, the Meadows, in the early hours of 1 January this year.
The court heard that Iriogbe was waiting for Mr Akhigbe when he left
his job as a toilet attendant at Foxy’s nightclub in Upper Parliament
Street at around 1.30am.
CCTV footage showed Iriogbe stalking his victim through the town
centre to Lower Parliament Street, where the men became involved in a
discussion.
Mr Akhigbe fled but Iriogbe chased after him and stabbed him with a knife three times outside Bon Marche clothing store.
He was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham but died within the hour as a result of the stab wounds.
Iriogbe was arrested at the scene and the murder weapon, as well as
another knife, was recovered from him. He denied murder, claiming he had
acted in self defence.
The court heard that Iriogbe and Mr Akhigbe - who were both
originally from Nigeria - had been friends and had previously lived and
worked together.
Their friendship had soured and by the end of 2010, Mr Akhigbe feared for his life after receiving a death threat from Iriogbe.
Mr Akhigbe had a son Daniel, 2, with his partner Susan Akhigbe, 34.
She was pregnant with their second son Joshua - now six months old - at
the time of his death.
Miss Akhigbe said: “Our lives were devastated the night Felix was taken so suddenly away from us.
“Joshua will never know his father and he won’t be able to experience first-hand the kind and caring person he was.
“It has been extremely difficult since Felix died and I miss him
every day but I am trying to remain positive for the sake of my sons.
“I am glad that we have finally secured justice for Felix and his attacker is now in prison where he belongs.”
Mr Akhigbe, who also worked as a packer in Boots in Beeston, was
educated in his native Nigeria and achieved a bachelor’s degree in
accounting there. He was hoping to study for a master’s degree in the UK
at the time of his death.
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Meynell, who led the inquiry, said:
“Raymond Iriogbe went out armed that night intent on either killing
Felix or causing him significant harm.
“He blamed Felix for a number of things that had gone wrong in his life and decided to take things into his own hands.
“This was not self defence - it was a deliberate, violent act that brutally ended a man’s life.
“His violent actions cruelly robbed two young boys of a father and today’s sentence reflects the severity of his crimes.”
The jury took just over seven hours to find Iriogbe guilty, by majority verdict of ten to one.
A middle-aged, married mother of four, was on Wednesday, found
glued together with her male lover after an illicit affair in a hotel in
Ikirun, Osun State.
The woman, who was said to have gone into the hotel with her lover,
was expected to pass the night in the hotel, but the matter got out of
hand as the two lovers glued in the hotel room after having sex, and
were discovered the next day (Thursday) by the staff of the hotel.
The two lovers were found naked and all efforts to separate them
proved abortive. After much effort to separate them failed, they were
taken to the palace of the monarch of Ikirun, Oba Rauf Olayiwole,
Adedeji II.
A call was put to the husband of the woman, but the man was said to
have responded that he was out of town and won’t be back until after
some days.
The two lovers were later taken by the police, on Friday morning, to
an unknown destination covered with ankara cloth, while the crowd that
thronged the palace to have a glimpse of the lovers were dispersed with
tear gas.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Olusegun Solomon, however, denied the report, saying it was a false alarm.
Computer Games Could Lead Children To 'Temporary Dementia-Nuerologists Warns.
Gaming fears: Baroness Susan Greenfield told a conference in Dorset that online gaming could be harmful to children's brain development
Children's brains could be
left damaged and they could suffer temporary 'dementia' by playing
computer games, a leading scientist has warned.
Eminent neurologist
Baroness Susan Greenfield said yesterday that spending time online
gaming and browsing internet sites such as Facebook could pose problems
for millions of youngsters.
She told attendees at a Dorset conference that an unhealthy addiction to technology could disable connections in the brain, literally 'blowing the mind.'
With children spending around 2,000 hours a year staring at computer screens the health effects have been widely debated.
Baroness Greenfield -
a former director at the Royal Institution, the oldest independent
research body in the world - took the opportunity to outline the dangers of online gaming and browsing at the opening of a £2.5million science centre at Sherbourne Girls' School.
Although she acknowledged that certain technologies can encourage
creativity the baroness said in her speech. The Future of the Brain
and The Brain of the Future - that overall the effects are negative.
Harmful: Neurologist Baroness Greenfield has warned that an addiction to technology could leave children with 'dementia'
She said connections in the
brain 'can be temporarily disabled by activities with a strong sensory
content - effectively 'blowing the mind'.
'Or they can be inactivated permanently by degeneration - i.e.dementia.'
As well as 'dementia' she said other symptoms could include shortened attention span and a tendency for reckless behaviour.
However, she did not reveal any research that had made a connection between screen technologies and brain degeneration.
Professor Mark Griffiths, a psychologist and Directory of Nottingham Trent University’s International Gaming Research Unit, said he knew of no scientific evidence that such a link existed.
He said: 'If anything the fact computer games are arousing can aid education by keeping children engaged.'
Educational or dangerous? Online games like moshi monsters can engage and stimulate children but Professor Greenfield fears gaming could 'overload' their brains
However, he added: 'There
is some evidence that when played to excess, video game playing can in
some extreme cases be addictive, especially online video game playing
where the game never pauses or ends, and has the potential to be a 24/7
activity.'
The baroness also warned that many people are now living their lives through applications such as Facebook.
She said: 'What does it say about their identity if they are defining themselves by how others see them?
'There is a need to be outside, to climb trees and feel the grass under your feet and in your face.'
Baroness Susan Greenfield CBE was the Director of the Royal Institution of Great Britain between 1998 and 2010.
Jenny Dwyer, Sherborne
Girls' Headmistress, admitted that Some of Baroness Greenfield's views
were 'controversial', but said she hoped her thoughts on modern
technology would stimulate 'lively debate' among staff and pupils.

Nigeria To Invest US$2.68 billion in construction of oil refineries in Indonesian
Nigeria is to sink a staggering US$2.68 billion in the
construction of three oil refineries in faraway Indonesia, The Jakarta
Post reported today.
The newspaper was told by Panggah Susanto, a
director of the Ministry of Industry in that country, that Nigeria had
been looking for a partner to refine its crude oil, and both countries
agreed [for that purpose] to build three refineries in Indonesia.
"Previously
they wanted the refineries to be built in Nigeria," Susanto said of the
Nigerian counterparts. "However, as Indonesia is currently improving
its downstream industry, Indonesia wanted the refineries to be built
here instead."
Apparently, they got their will. According to the
director, "State firm PT Pertamina will buy the crude oil from Nigeria
and process it here."
It is unclear why Nigeria has chosen to
refine its crude abroad, and the matter appears to be shrouded in
secrecy. The Nigerian people have not been informed of the deal, or
about how it will benefit them.
The current Nigeria government
is fraught with policy hiccups. Only last month, the Nigerian
president, after a meeting with Mr. Jai-Seong Lee, the president and
chief executive officer of South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy, announced that
the company, the world’s largest shipbuilder, would build a
multi-billion shipyard in Bayelsa State that would create thousands of
jobs.
Tuface Laments About Betrayals And Heartbreaks He Suffered From Women And Why He Has Refused To Get Married.
Below is what 2face reveals as his plan for the future . . . . . .
Quote
As we go through life, we all suffer betrayals. Even Jesus was betrayed
by one of his disciples Judas Iscariot. I have been betrayed but I
won’t want to comment about it. It’s a path so painful that I
don’t even want to go there. Just like betrayals,I have also suffered
heartbreak on account of a woman. Again, it’s better to let
sleeping dogs lie. Let me just say that love is a strong force which can
conquer anybody, even if you are Tuface. It happened to me long ago.
I have loved and have been loved. When it comes to love,I am as Innocent
as my name Innocent Idibia.I have never come across a virgin all my
life. The only person I have disvirgined is me.
Myself. The fact that I have not come across a virgin does not
mean there are no virgins. What I am saying is that I have never jammed a
virgin. I don’t know what I will do the day I come across a virgin.
Will I marry her? The truth is marriage is not in my plans.I will never marry.Let me put it that bluntly. I don’t want to marry. I am angry.”
I am pretty sure a lot of ladies still wont mind, even if its for a baby or two.
Patrick Obahiagbon’s Comment On Fuel Subsidy Removal
The federal Government of Nigeria cancelled the fuel subsidy for civil
servants and his Excellency, Hon. Patrick did not hesitate to speak out
is mind as usual about the subsidy removal just that you may need an
oxford leaner's dictionary to comprehend his use of jaw breaking
vocabularies below
I have read with acatalectic disgust, governments asinine and
puerile ratiocinations attempting to justiceate the proposed removal of
subsidies from petroleum products. It has asseverated that
it’s intentions is guided by the need to checkmate the odoriferous
excesses of a machiavellian and mephistophelean cabal and I have said to
myself, what a shame? What a self indicting admittal of the failure of
governance? What an hocus-pocus?
What an anathematous disdain for it’s citizenry? Must the people now
bear the brunt for governments ineptitude, inefficiency and
pusillanimity in squaring up with these economic philistines and fat
cows? I feel even more nauseated and vexed that the Governors Forum has
posthaste conferred an apocalyptic imprimatur on this genie. Let’s not
forget that majority of these same Governors had earlier called for this
state of affairs as a condition sinequanon for paying the minimum wage.
What an opprobrium?
What a deprecable descent from the sublime to the ridiculous? It’s up
to us all to put this Presidential and Gubernatorial genie back into
the bottle but are we prepared?
which kind man be dis sef?

Wife Of One of Muammar Gaddafi's Sons Posing In Lingerie In A Luxury Hotel Room.
In the dozens of
photographs, found on a laptop belonging to Gaddafi's 36-year-old son
Hannibal, he and his Lebanese wife Aline Skaff are shown partying on a
private jet, on a yacht off the Egyptian coast and in some of the shots
are surrounded by alcohol, which is banned in Libya.
The couple are infamous for having provoked diplomatic tensions with Switzerland when they were arrested in 2008 in a luxury hotel in Geneva for allegedly assaulting two former servants.
Provocative: Pictures of former
lingerie model Aline Skaff found by rebels show her in pornographic
poses in luxury hotel rooms. It was the family's lavish lifestyle which
helped fuel anger in Libya
After the fall of Tripoli last month, an Ethiopian nanny also claimed she had been beaten and severely burnt while working for the couple.
The undated photographs, made available to AFP, show the couple on luxurious trips to Paris, Rome and the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh
They are shown flying on a private jet, lounging in bathing suits on a luxury yacht and shopping in expensive boutiques.
Discovery: The pictures of the
couple, infamous for having provoked diplomatic tensions with
Switzerland when they were arrested in 2008 in a luxury hotel in Geneva,
were found by rebels
Living the high life: Hannibal
Gaddafi with his wife Aline Skaff enjoyed themselves on a yacht as his
father ruled with an iron fist in Libya
Escape: The photos of Hannibal and his wife, who are believed to be in neighbouring Algeria, will anger Libyans
Tyrant: Muammar Gaddafi ruled Libya for more than 40 years
Other photos show them staying in luxury hotel rooms, para gliding, scuba diving and visiting Tripoli zoo.
Skaff, 31, is often shown in suggestive poses on beds or at the beach with some of the photos being pornographic in nature.
It was this lavish
lifestyle enjoyed by the Gaddafi family and their entourage which helped
fuel the anger in Libya that led to the uprising against the former
dictator.
Hannibal was among a group
of family members, including Gaddafi's wife Safiya, son Mohammed and
daughter Aisha, who escaped to neighbouring Algeria after the fall of
Tripoli.
After Hannibal was arrested
in Switzerland, his father's regime demanded that no charges be brought
and an 'apology' should be issued over the allegations that he had
assaulted two former servants, a Tunisian and a Moroccan.
In September 2008, the court dropped the case.
Hannibal also previously received a four-month suspended sentence and a 500-euro fine for assaulting his pregnant girlfriend in France
Final push: As Libyan
revolutionary fighters try to take over Sirte (pictured) they released
the damning photographs of Gaddafi's son Hannibal living a privileged
life
A young Nigerian man has pleaded guilty to trying to kill nearly 300
people aboard a US-bound airliner on Christmas Day 2009 by igniting
explosives secreted in his underwear."Do you understand that you have the right to remain silent?" judge
Nancy Edmunds asked the 25-year-old Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who fired
his own lawyers and is representing himself at the trial in Detroit,
Michigan.
Abdulmutallab, wearing a blazer over a collarless shirt, his hands clasped in front of him, replied "Yes."
"Do
I understand correctly that you wish to waive that right to plead
guilty to all the charges in the indictment?" asked the judge. "Yes,"
again came the reply, this time met with gasps of shock from the
gathered media.
Edmunds read through each of the eight
terrorism-related charges. Each time, Abdulmutallab said "I plead
guilty," and when asked by the judge whether he was pleading guilty
because he "was guilty," the accused said "that's right."
The surprise guilty pleas come a day after Abdulmutallab declined to present opening statements to jurors.
"Has anyone promised you that I would go easy on you if you pleaded guilty?" asked Edmunds. "No," the Nigerian replied.
The
plot, which US officials say was the work of al-Qaeda in the Arabian
Peninsula, failed because the explosives stitched in his underwear never
detonated fully and instead caused a massive fireball.
That
fireball could have been deadly but for the swift actions of passengers
and crew members who rushed over to put it out as panic and pandemonium
broke out on the Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam as it prepared
to land in Detroit, the prosecution says.
The botched operation
triggered global alarm and led the United States to adopt stringent new
screening and security measures, including controversial pat-downs at
airports and a massive expansion of the no-fly list.
The
reputation of the nation's intelligence services also took a hit because
Abdulmutallab's father, a prominent Nigerian banker, had warned the CIA
about his son's growing radicalisation.
Abdulmutallab's calm and
respectful demeanour on Wednesday was in sharp contrast to his
disruptive behaviour during jury selection.
This was marked by
incendiary outbursts, including a pledge that militants will wipe out
"the cancer US," and praise for radical al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaqi
and former leader Osama bin Laden, both killed in US raids.
Abdulmutallab faces life in prison for the terrorism-related charges he pleaded guilty to.
Millions of Blackberry users across the world were left without internet services on their smartphones after a server crash.
Subscribers were unable to use internet, email or Blackberry Messenger services.
The problem is believed to have started in Slough, near London, where the affected services are based.
Manufacturer Research In Motion said: "We are working to resolve an
issue currently impacting some BlackBerry subscribers in Europe, Middle
East and Africa and India."
At London's Liverpool Street station, commuters were angry at being
unable to use their smartphones, one man said: "The only thing that's
working is my text messages how can we pay thousands a month for a phone that
doesn't really work and can't do anything more than a normal phone."
A woman said she was now considering not renewing her contract with
the company: "It's really annoying and I don't know if I will upgrade
for a new Blackberry."
This major widespread outage has not come at a good time for
Blackberry, which has been struggling against rival smartphone
companies.
Daniel, Alao-Akala, Doma’s trial begins today,Alao-Akala, 2 aides face 11-count charge •Daniel’s charges to be filed today •Ex-govs flown out of Abuja •7 choice properties traced to Doma •Goje surrenders, detained
THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday

for today,
over a combined alleged N101 billion fraud they allegedly perpetrated
while in office.
This came as wanted former governor of Gombe State, Senator Danjuma
Goje, surrendered to the commission at about 5.00a.m. on Monday and was
subsequently detained over an alleged N52 billion fraud he allegedly
perpetrated within eight years in office.
The commission had accused Daniel of stealing N58 billion between
1999 and 2007; Alao-Akala, N25 billion in four years and Doma, N18
billion, also within four years.
The commission is prosecuting the accused with the exception of Doma
in the high courts in their home states for alleged stealing and Doma
will be arraigned at the Federal High Court, for money laundering.
The arraignment of Daniel and Alao-Akala in their respective states
starts today while the Abuja end will begin at a yet-to-be disclosed

Business activities grounded in Makurdi as tanker drivers embark on strike •Fuel sells for N150 per litre in Benue
Business activities have been paralysed in Makurdi, the Benue State
capital, following increase in the price of petrol which now sells for
N150.00 per litre at the black market.
This followed the strike embarked upon by tanker drivers in the state
as a result of unfulfilled promise to compensate them when two of their
tankers got burnt during a crisis in 2007.
Consequently, the prices of goods and transport fares jumped up. For
instance, a trip that used to cost N30.00 is now N60.00, while workers
resorted to trekking to their offices on Monday.
The leaders of the tanker drivers union, who were at the Government
House on the invitation of the governor, accused the government for its
lackadaisical attitude stressing that the tanker drivers decided to go
on strike when all efforts to make government fulfill its promise
failed.
The state chairman of the union, Alhaji Musa Kwando, said members of
the union refused to lift fuel from the Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation (NNPC) depot to prove their seriousness adding that the
state union had the blessing of its national secretariat.
Governor Gabriel Suswam, who invited the union leaders, promised that
he would release N15million to the union as compensation, stating that
the issue was inherited by his administration.
The governor also called on the union to call off its strike following amicable resolution of the issue.

Grandmother Caught With Parcels Of Cocaine At Murtala Muhammed Internation Airport in Lagos
Franca Ozekwe was arrested by anti-narcotics agents at the MMIA with 1.500kg of drugs
Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have apprehended a 59-year-old grandmother at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos.
The suspect, Franca Ozekwe, allegedly tried to export 1.500kg of
powdery substance that tested positive to cocaine. She was arrested last
weekend during the screening of British Airways passengers to London
Heathrow airport with the drug hidden in the sides of her luggage.
NDLEA Commander at the airport, Hamza Umar, explained that the drug
was detected at the luggage checking desk at the international wing of
the airport.
Chairman/Chief Executive of the NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade described the
grandmother’s action as disappointing. “It is difficult to comprehend
her motivation for drug trafficking at 59,” he said. “Her action is
disappointing. This is one wrong step with adverse consequences for the
rest of her life.”
Preliminary investigation by the NDLEA shows that the suspect
travelled to London 5 years ago. She is married with eight children, two
males and six females all married with children.
Ozekwe confessed to the crime. “This is my first time of engaging in
drug trafficking,” he said. “I was given the bag with the drug hidden in
it and they promised to pay me the sum of five thousand pounds. The man
that organised the deal used to meet with me in an eatery in Lagos. He
never told me that I will be caught. I was devastated the moment the
drug was discovered. It was like the end of my world because I told my
husband in Umunya town in Anambra State that I was going to Lagos.”
She will soon be arraigned at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos. (Daily Times)
