Tuface Idibia's Father Is Dead.

According to reports, the father of music legend, Innocent “2face” Idibia is dead. Pa Michael Idibia took his final breath this evening at an undisclosed hospital in Abuja after a battle with prostate cancer.
He was diagnosed of the disease earlier this year and 2face broke the news during the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy
(CECP) cancer charity event which held on June 8, 2014 at the Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos.
The family hasn’t issued an official statement on the death but it has reportedly been confirmed by 2face’s Manager, Efe Omoregie.
May the soul of the departed rest in peace.

Frustrated Abuja Single Mother Dumps Her 1 Year Old Baby Boy In The Bush.

A year-old baby boy has been found in a bush where his mother dumped him. The mother of the baby was alleged to have been left frustrated by her lover suspected to be the father of the child.

According to sources, passersby picked up the baby after they were attracted by his cry.
The baby who insects had already feasted on was later taken to Kubwa Police Station, before the police took him to Kubwa General Hospital, where he is currently receiving medical attention.

The DPO also said investigation is currently going on to unravel the mystery surrounding the dumping of the baby boy.

INEC Suspends Buruku By Election In Benue.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday said it had suspended the conduct of the by-election into the Buruku Federal Constituency in Benue State scheduled to hold today.
The commission’s scribe in the state, Mrs. Augusta Ogakwu, in a statement yesterday said the suspension was sequel to a motion from the Supreme Court asking the electoral body not to proceed with the exercise. Ogakwu, who expressed regrets over the inconveniences the suspension would cause stakeholders, assured them of the commission’s commitment to conduct credible elections in the country.
The Supreme Court had on May 31, ordered Mr. Orker Jev of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), now the All Progressives Congress (APC) representing Buruku Federal Constituency of the state in the National Assembly to vacate his seat.
The same court ordered the INEC to conduct fresh election within 90 days to feel the vacancy created by Jev’s sacking. Parties in the appeal were Jev, who is the appellant, while other respondents were Sekav Iortyom, INEC and ACN.
Jev had gone to the Supreme Court to challenge the decision of the Court of Appeal in Makurdi, which affirmed the ruling of the lower court, which asked INEC to withdraw the certificate of return issued to him.
Justice Walter Onoghen, who presided at the hearing, directed that Jev’s name be removed from the ballot box and replaced with that of the 1st respondent, Sekav Iortyom. The panel also ordered the appellant (Jev) to pay the sum of N500,000 to each of the respondents except the 2nd respondent (INEC).
The panel explained that the 1st respondent, Sekav Iortyom, could not be declared winner and asked to be sworn in following Jev’s ouster because such an order would violate the provisions of Section 141 of the Electoral Act.

Even more incredibly, her mother claims she has been doing it since she was three days old. The strength of her grip at such a tender age has amazed her family and medics.

Her mother Onyi Chiedozie, 20, said: ‘When we were feeding, she started shaking, then she just grabbed the bottle. She was holding it by
herself. ‘We couldn’t believe it because babies don’t normally do it that young. I’m so shocked that I have been documenting it every day. It’s
unbelievable.

‘When she doesn’t want it she will push it away. She isn’t strong enough to throw it away, but she does push it, like she does with her dummy. If she is really hungry, she starts shaking. Then she will just grab the bottle as you give it to her.’ Miss Chiedozie, a single mother from Chadwell Heath in Essex, makes sure she is always
watching her daughter when she is feeding herself. She said: ‘Sometimes I hold her or sometimes you can prop her up with a pillow and give her the bottle. I’m always watching her – I don’t let her out of my sight.’
Amara weighed 6lbs 3oz when she was born on August 3 at Queen’s Hospital in Romford.

Miss Chiedozie said her progress had
astounded medical professionals. The student added: ‘Even nurses are really surprised. When my health support nurse came, she was shocked as well. She couldn’t believe that this
could happen. ‘Whenever we go to appointments, we take pictures of her doing it. The midwife and even
the doctor we had an appointment with on Saturday were actually amazed. They couldn’t believe it.

Miss Chiedozie also breastfeeds Amara
regularly. She said: ‘The breastfeeding is better now – it’s comfortable. It used to be painful and sore before but it’s good now.

Fake Female Army Officer Re-Arrested In Ondo State.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Ondo State Command, have re-arrested a woman, who had been parading herself as an army officer in order to gain favors from the public and border officials.

At the press briefing Suleiman also informed journalists, “I [had] to go back to [this] again because that is where I see the money to taking care of my family. I travelled around with the uniform to get favor and goods in the country.”

Isis Beheads American Journalist; Threatens To Behead Time Mag Reporter.

Yesterday, the militant group ISIS uploaded a grisly YouTube video showing the apparent beheading of American photojournalist James Wright Foley by a masked militant who spoke with a British accent.The horrific video begins with footage of President Obama explaining why he ordered U.S. fighter jets to drop bombs on ISIS positions in Iraq earlier this month.The video, which is titled: “A Message to #America (from the #IslamicState)”, was quickly removed by YouTube.In the video, Foley is forced to blame the U.S. government for his death.After sawing off Foley’s head, the British terrorist threatens to execute Time magazine reporter Steven Sotloff if Obama doesn’t stop the bomb strikes. A terrified Sotloff is seen at the end of the video.Foley, 40, was captured in Lybia in early 2012.

NFF Headquarters Gutted By Fire.

The headquarters of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) is being gutted by fire.

Popularly known as the Glass House,the fire was said to have started from the third floor of the football secretariat.

Men of the Fire Service have been brought in to extinguish the escalating fire.

Just two days ago,president of the NFF Aminu Maigari was reinstated back to office after he was impeached by the executive board.

The NFF has been in and out of crisis since returning from the 2014 World Cup tournament,and the latest fire incident is no different.

Oh No! Dr Ameyo Adadevoh,Consultant Who Contracted Ebola Virus From Patrick Sawyer Is Dead.

Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh, the consultant physician, who had contracted the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) from the Liberian, Mr. Patrick Sawyer, who imported the virus into Nigeria, is dead.

Sources close to Adadevoh, 58, said she succumbed to the disease Tuesday evening.Adadevoh led the medical team at First Consultants Medical Centre, a Lagos-based hospital, that treated Sawyer.

She was said to have fallen into a coma on Monday and despite the valiant battle by the medical team to save her, she could not survive the scourge of the disease.

Her passing brings the total number of deaths from the Ebola virus to five in Nigeria.
