The Task Force investigating the alleged diversion of $2.1bn meant for arms procurement under the immediate past administration of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has embarked on a discrete investigation into the former Minister of State for Defence, Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro.

South African Airline Debuts First Flight To Abuja.





South African Airways' (SAA) on Wednesday  launched flights to Abuja as a second gateway in Nigeria. The inaugural flight with a contingent of senior government officials, and media guests on board, carried a substantial number of passengers proving the popularity of the route. The flight departed on Tuesday, 26 January at 23h55 from Johannesburg (via Lagos) and landed today, 07h30 in Abuja - where the aircraft was greeted with a traditional celebratory and welcoming water salute as it taxied into the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

EFCC Frisks Atlantic Energy Boss Over Multi-Billion Naira Fraud.




The Chairman of Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Nigeria Limited, Jide Omokore was on Tuesday arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over an alleged shady deals running into billions of naira.National Daily gathered Omokore company; Atlantic Energy in 2012 paid $168 million into the government’s account instead of $350 million which was the value of the three million barrels lifted. Similarly, into 2013, the company also lifted 2 million barrels of crude valued at $240 million but only paid $68 million.
