Following its recent selection as the air transport provider for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation/Chevron Nigeria Limited Joint Venture, Caverton Helicopters Limited has unveiled a fleet of brand new helicopters designed to service the NNPC/CNL JV outfit based in Escravos.

Caverton (CHL) was last year awarded a five-year logistics support contract by CNL, operator of the NNPC/CNL JV, for the provision of aviation services with a two-year renewable option.
The firm is being supported by US aviation giant, Bell Helicopters; the new fleet comprises of the Bell 407 GXP with executive interior design options, fitted with Rolls-Royce engines and the industry workhorse Bell 412 EP, for optimal performance in adverse conditions.
At a business luncheon hosted at its Executive Flight facility at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos on Thursday, David Sale, Managing Director, Sales, Middle East and Africa, Bell Helicopters, remarked on being very proud to partner with Caverton, having been in Nigeria since 1964.
CHL Chairman, Adeniyi Makanjuola said the achievement was a result of an extended skills transfer to an indigenous work force over an 8-year period, in line with the national content policy.

According to him, Caverton was fast tracking the national content policy by ensuring that more Nigerians were trained and given priority in recruitment for high technician management positions.
The Director, NNPC/CNL JV, Mr. Monday Ovuede, said Caverton’s unveiling of 11 helicopters marked an expansion of the company’s capacity to dominate the Nigerian airspace – a manifestation of its resilience to ensure that aviation industry became enviable.
“Our plan is to pick and deliver over 800 passengers every day; we will ensure zero accident as we increase our efforts to protect our people. With over 50 years of doing business, I assure you that we will be here in the next 50 years,” he said.

R Kelly evicted from two mansions for unpaid rent

R Kelly

Singer R Kelly has been evicted from two of his Atlanta, Georgia, homes due to unpaid rent, it has been reported.
The 51-year-old R&B star has been forced out of the Atlanta mansions in the area of Johns Creek after failing to pay more than $31,000 in rent, according to court documents filed with the magistrate court of Fulton County.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that 13 February filings with the Fulton County magistrate proved that Kelly owed more than $30K in past due payments to SB Property Management Global.

He reportedly paid $3,000 a month and $11,542 a month respectively, for two homes only two miles apart from each other.

The property company’s spokespeople would not comment on the matter, and records do not show criminal filings related to it.

The latest report comes a week after the Fulton Country District Attorney’s Office claimed it is still reviewing a file from Johns Creek police after July 2017 allegations that the Grammy winner was holding women against their will as part of a cult.

It is not the first time R Kelly’s Johns Creek homes have been plagued with scandal, since they were completely cleared out in an epic burglary on Thanksgiving weekend in November last year.
R Kelly’s two homes in Atlanta were previously cleared out by thieves wsbtv.com

The suspect was Alfonso Walker, a part-time employee of the singer.
Law enforcement told TMZ that detectives caught three men leaving one of the houses in a van, later bringing them in for questioning. They informed the police that they had been been hired by one of Kelly’s associates, Mr Walker, to sell all his possessions because Kelly was moving his entire operation to Chicago.

Johns Creek Police Captain Chris Byers claimed that officers checked both of Kelly’s homes, but found everything missing.

“Many televisions. Furnishings. We’re talking about couches, chairs, tables,” Fox13 reported as missing at the time.

Police Threatens To Declare Dino Melaye Wanted

File photo: Jimoh Moshood

The Nigeria Police Force is threatening to declare Senator Dino Melaye wanted, should he fail to appear at its Kogi command on Wednesday March 28.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, in a statement issued on Saturday, said an invitation and a court summon had been issued to Senator Melaye, both of which he did not honour.

He said the senator is wanted on grounds of criminal offences of conspiracy and unlawful possession of prohibited firearms.

According to the PRO, Melaye’s summon follows the arrest of two men in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, on January 19, after they confessed to having committed various crimes such as kidnappings and armed robbery.

They also disclosed that the Senator had handed them a bag containing firearms.

The statement read in part: “Working on actionable intelligence, the Kogi State Police Command personnel and operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad trailed and arrested two (2) suspects, namely; KABIRU SAIDU a.k.a OSAMA “31 YRS” From Dekina LGA but based in Anyagba (Leader of the gang) and NUHU SALISU a.k.a SMALL “25 YRS” (a member of the gang), after a gun battle with the Police team that lasted for some hours on the 19th January, 2018 at Ogojueje in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.

“During investigation, they confessed to the various criminal roles they played in the commission of several kidnappings and Armed Robbery, Murder and other Violent Crimes in different parts of Kogi State for which they have been on the wanted list of the Police for more than two years now.

“The gang leader KABIRU SAIDU a.k.a OSAMA revealed that he and his gang have been working as a Political Thug for one Alh. Mohammed Audu a Politician in the State and that Alh. Mohammed Audu invited him to Abuja and introduced him to Senator Dino Melaye and they met on Airport road, Abuja inside the Senator Dino Melaye’s Car in the month of December, 2017.

“KABIRU SAIDU a.k.a OSAMA “31 YRS” further confessed to the Police investigative team that Senator Dino Melaye handed over a bag containing the following firearms one (1) AK47 rifle, two (2) Pump Action guns and the sum of four hundred and thirty thousand naira N430,000.00 to share with his boys.

“The Police conducted investigation into the criminal indictments against Sen. Dino Melaye and Mohammed Audu and discovered that the two (2) of them have case to answer. The two (2) suspects namely; KABIRU SAIDU a.k.a OSAMA and NUHU SALISU a.k.a SMALL were paraded at the Kogi State Command Headquarters, Lokoja on 19th March, 2018.”

Speaking further, Moshood noted that a letter had been sent to the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki on March 2 asking Melaye to appear before the Kogi state police command headquarters to answer to the allegations against him, yet there was no response.

The Police, however, warned him to show up in court else, he would be arrested.

“As we speak, Sen. Dino Melaye despite the letter sent to the Senate President, refused to honour Police Invitation till date and also refused to appear in court and has also continued to evade the service of criminal summon on him to appear before the Federal High Court, Lokoja on the 28th March, 2018 to answer to the charge of Criminal Conspiracy and unlawful possession of prohibited firearms against him and Mohammed Audu.

“The Nigeria Police Force is therefore using this medium to advise Senator Dino Melaye and Mohammed Audu in their interest to comply with the order of the court and appear on 28th March, 2018 before Federal High Court, Lokoja to answer to the criminal charges against them.

“If they continue to be evasive and fail to comply with criminal summon issued on them by the Federal High Court, Lokoja to appear on 28th March, 2018 to answer to the criminal charges of Conspiracy and Unlawful Possession of Prohibited Firearms against them, the Force, will obtain Warrant of Arrest for the arrest of Senator Dino Melaye and Mohammed Audu and will definately declare them wanted throughout the country and on INTERPOL platform for them to be arrested in any country where ever they are sighted and handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for continuation of their trial.

“The Nigeria Police Force will continue to sustain the Rule of Law and maintain Law and Order throughout the Country,” the statement read in part.

(Interview) Declare state of emergency in Benue,Taraba states now --Miyetti Allah.

National President, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Socio-cultural Association, Bello Abdullahi Bodejo (Lamido Fulbe) is extremely worried over the farmers/herdsmen crises and wants an immediate end to the situation. He spoke to WILLY EYA on various issues and recommended the declaration of a state of emergency in Benue and Taraba states.

Recently, the Benue State governor raised the alarm that the Fulani have unleashed about one million cows to Benue State. Is there truth in his allegation?

It is a lie. From Nasarawa, they have arrested about 3000 Fulani cows and kept it in Benue. Governor Ortom is only spreading propaganda just to suffer the Fulani people. All the cows outside Benue, they are arresting them. If you understand Hausa, I can take you to them and you will understand what the Fulani are suffering. Even in Taraba and outside Benue, they arrest the Fulani and their cows. We do not know what to do again.

Is it the Police that are arresting the Fulani and their cows or who?

Yes, they are collaborating with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps. They are helping the Tiv to arrest the cows.

Don’t you think that from all indications, ranching is the only way forward in the farmers/herders crises?

But it should not be the Governor Ortom’s kind of ranching. His own is ‘politics ranching.’ We need ranching but not the type that Ortom has proposed. The truth is that Governor Ortom wants to destroy the Fulani economy in the country.

But the anti-open grazing law has also been established in Taraba, what is the difference with that in Benue?

The anti-open grazing law in Taraba is not like that in Benue. In Taraba, even before the current state governor was born, they have been doing ranching in the state. The Fulani have been doing ranching there but why did the state government say they want to do it again. What kind of ranching do they want the Fulani to do again in Taraba State. I was born in Gembu and we do not move; we stay there in one place and herd the cows. The type of ranching they are doing now is not good. All these things are just politics. The Fulani are in trouble.

What about the most recent killings in Kogi State; the argument is that the crisis in Kogi is because the governor gave out the state land for the controversial cattle colony. Are you saying that the Fulani have no hand in the situation in Kogi?

In Kogi, they killed members of the local vigilance security outfit. The vigilance members are killing themselves and they are accusing the Fulani whereas the Fulani are not involved in the crisis.

You said that Governor Ortom wants to destroy the Fulani economy; why do you think so and what would he gain by doing that?

The problem is that Ortom knows that he is owing his people salaries and he cannot pay. When President Muhammadu Buhari went to Benue, did you see anything that he commissioned in the state. Did you see even one kilometer of road constructed by Governor Ortom. So, he has not done anything and has not paid the workers’ salaries, and the only way he can deceive the people is to continue to jump up and down calling the names of the Fulani. The Tiv people are very educated and one day, their eyes would open and they would know that Ortom is deceiving them. Somebody who has not paid people salaries would now be talking about anti-open grazing law. I do not know what we can do; I am even tired of all these things. Maybe I will just keep quiet and leave everything to God. The sufferings of the Fulani are becoming too much. Everyday, we are receiving reports. We receive all kinds of reports of things happening to the Fulani. It is not good and all these are happening because they do not have access to the media.

Do you think that all these are happening because President Buhari, a Fulani man is in power?
Maybe Governor Ortom is planning to dump the All Progressives Congress(APC) to join the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP). But he does not want to go silently until he destroys the Fulani.

What you are saying would surprise many people because under Buhari, the impression is that the Fulani is even being pampered by the Federal Government?

Now, if they do anything to favour the Fulani, people would start shouting that it is only the Fulani that President Buhari is favouring. That is why Buhari is being very careful to accommodate everybody and to make sure that everyone is doing well in the country. But so many people do not know this.

The argument is that Buhari’s government is so sectional and a clear point of reference is the exclusion of the South East in the security architecture of the country.

During former President Jonathan’s time, was it not the same thing? If for instance President Buhari is giving the Fulani everything, we, the Miyetti Allah are not concerned with the analysis or who has the power or not. The only thing we know is that this is one Nigeria. For us, I am not bothered about tribe. Even if it is only Igbo people that are in government, if they want to help Nigeria, they can do it. Is it because Buhari put many Fulani people in government that they are killing us today in Nigeria? It is not enough reason to be killing the Fulani. People who are reasoning that way are among the very bad people that do not want peace in the country. That is why such people are saying that Buhari has put his people and that the people in government are all Northerners.

You said you are tired of the farmers/herdsmen crises, so what is the way forward for the Miyetti Allah with regards to the problem?

We are already in court to seek justice. The Fulani people are very law abiding. We are praying that one day, we would get justice. I do not know Ortom’s interest in the anti-open grazing law. They would go as far as Taraba, arrest cows of the Fulani and take them to Benue. We do not understand that kind of law. They would go to Nasarrawa and arrest a Fulani man. Wherever they see them, they would arrest them. Faulani are facing serious problems now.

But many have that impression that the Fulani are responsible for all the killings involving herdsmen and farmers in Nigeria.

It is a lie. It is just like some people saying that Kogi State gave the Fulani land for cattle Colony and that is why there are killings there. How can you start killing people who gave you land? I pray that one day journalists and newspapers would start telling the truth about what is happening in the country. That is my prayer. People would just go and carry one side of the story and be painting the Fulani black. But now, we can start going to court for all these hate speeches. We are prepared now and today we can have a team of lawyers. If you say that a Fulani man is a criminal, you have to prove it. If you get a Fulani man who is a criminal, prove it and do not say it is all Fulani that are criminals. All the time, what you hear is Fulani herders, Fulani this and that. It is not only Fulani that are herding cattle. Most of these big men in the country including Ortom have cows. The hatred for the Fulani started from 2015 till today

If You Want To Be Like Bill Gates And Dangote, Stop Listening To Pastor Oyedepo And Adeboye – Daddy Freeze Says

Controversial O.A.P Daddy Freeze has hit us again with one of his many controversial fore-warnings.

Sharing a collaged photo of Bill Gates, Aliko Dangote and popular Nigerian clerics, Bishop David Oyedepo and Pastor Enoch Adeboye he adviced his followers not to listen to clerics if they want to be billionaires.

According to Daddy Freeze these clerics can’t lead you to heaven because they don’t know the way there.

The leader of Free The Sheeple movement also told that Bill Gates and Dangote have 2000 heads and no one should be deceived by clerics who say they can be like these men because they have one head .

Having said that, he noted that he can never be like Dangote because he does not have his unique entrepreneurial gift.

Read Below:

A CONCOCTION OF CONTRADICTIONS
*****************************************
If you want to end up like Dangote or Bill Gates, stop listening to the men pictured above.

The sad thing about this, is that they can’t even lead you to heaven because they don’t know the way there…

If the scriptures are anything to go by, teachers of religious law are hell bound, TITHING IS THE LAW!

Another fallacy is the prosperity teaching that says: “You can be like Dangote, Dangote doesn’t have two heads”.

Let me break your hearts today, in the area of entrepreneurship;
DANGOTE AND BILL GATES HAVE 2,000 HEADS! They have a rare and unique talent that isn’t available to just any and everyone. Remember in all of Egypt ONLY Joseph could interpret pharaohs dream.

Anyone who tells you that you can do business like Dangote is a LIAR, it’s like telling you that you can sing like Michael Jackson, understand Physics like Einstein or play football like Messi or Ronaldo.

I CAN NEVER BE LIKE DNGOTE, because I don’t have his unique entrepreneurial gift.

My unique gift is deep understanding of, and the ability to teach the SCRIPTURES, which I have shown with much dexterity, what is your gift? You want to play football like Messi? Welldonsir, find your gift today and harness it.

◄ Matthew 23 ►
[13] “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you shut the door of the Kingdom of Heaven in people’s faces. You won’t go in yourselves, and you don’t let others enter either. [15] “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you cross land and sea to make one convert, and then you turn that person into twice the child of hellf you yourselves are!

Mobile phone subscription in Nigeria hits 147m – NCC

Smartphones
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) said that the country’s phone subscriptions have reached 147 million as at January 2018.

The Executive Vice Chairman, NCC, Prof. Umar Danbatta disclosed this during the NCC Special Day at the ongoing 29th Enugu International Trade Fair.

The fair was organised by the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Mines, Industries and Agriculture (ECCIMA).

Danbatta who was represented by the Director of Public Affairs, Mr Tony Ojobo, said that the country’s social media space had continued to thrive.

“Our statistics continue to show positive movement in the provision of services with internet and phone penetrations standing at over 100 million and 147 million subscribers respectively in January 2018.

“With broadband penetration of 21 per cent, Nigeria’s social media space has continued to thrive and citizens are enjoying access to modern ways of interaction in the cyberspace,“ he said.

Danbatta said that Nigerians were not left behind with services and innovations that abound in the Information Communication Technology (ICT) industry.

“It is our commitment to keep the nation abreast of developments in telecommunications industry through innovative and world class regulatory processes,” he said.

He said that commission would soon issue directive to service providers to give 14 days’ window to subscribers to enable them roll over their unused data.

“In other words, this will stop the current practice where subscribers lose unused data even if they fail to renew on the date of the expiration of the current subscription.

“We have already put the service providers on special notice about our current monitoring of user experience relating to poor reception, wrong billings and deductions and will call them to account in due course,” he said.

Earlier, the President of ECCIMA, Mr Emeka Udeze, said that the presence of the commission at the fair was a well thought out strategy to interact with its various public in the South East.

He said that a whole lot of positive changes had taken place in the ICT sector which had accentuated the pace of socio-economic development of the nation.

“Yet, there remains a lot more that needed to be done to fully tap the potentials in this sector and for customers of the various networks to fully maximize the benefits of optimal service delivery,” he said.

Udeze observed that the NCC day remained one of the most crowd-pulling, exciting and colourful special days at the fair.

The highlight of the event was a raffle draw where gift items were won by some of those present. (NAN)

93 DAYS, film on Nigeria’s Ebola experience, screens in Hollywood

•Bimbo Akintola and others in 93 Days
A Nollywood film on Nigeria’s resilience during the Ebola virus outbreak in the country was on Friday night screened at Hollywood, Los Angeles, in a collaboration event tagged ‘Nollywood in Hollywood’.

The screening of the film, 93 DAYS, which held at the world famous Egyptian Theater in Hollywood with a red-carpet, was also the inaugural ‘Nollywood in Hollywood’ event.

According to organisers, the event was a celebration of Nigeria’s growing cinema.

The film is a compelling drama of dedication, sacrifice, resilience and survival based on the true story of the people who risked their lives to prevent a catastrophic virus outbreak in Nigeria.

Nigeria experienced the Ebola virus in July, 2014 when a Liberian American, Patrick Sawyer, who had the disease flew from Liberia to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos and died five days later.

Starring Bimbo Akintola, Somkele Idhalama and Danny Glover, it took the audience through the unfortunate memory lane when Sawyer collapsed upon arrival at the airport, after which he was diagnosed with the Ebola virus.

The film explained that over that 93-day period, men and women from Nigeria, the World Health Organisation and Doctors Without Borders raced against time to contain the deadly disease as lives were lost and heroes were born.

The film was co-presented by the American Cinematheque’s Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California, and O2A Media Inc., the production company of Nigerian-American filmmaker, Ose Oyamendan.

There was a question and answer session that followed, with the film’s director, Steve Gukas.

The screening of the Nollywood film, 93 DAYS, and two others from Nollywood – THE BRIDGE and ISOKEN – in Hollywood, California, which started on Friday and continues on Saturday, would be the first collaboration between Nollywood and Hollywood.

This is also the first time that the foremost film programme in the world and the most historic of all of Hollywood’s cinema houses are teaming up to bring a film series from Africa to Hollywood.

Nigeria joined a select list of seven countries from around the world to be part of the prestigious national screening series, according to the organisers.

The ongoing screening would be a question and answer series moderated by the Chairman of the African-American wing of the Directors Guild of America and an open air, post-screening Nigerian party on the historic Hollywood Boulevard.

From very inauspicious beginnings about 25 years ago, the Nollywood industry grew to be the second largest in the world in terms of output.

It is estimated that over 1,000 films are produced in Nollywood every year, most of them direct to video.

In recent years, Nollywood films have garnered critical acclaim and have been exhibited at top film festivals. (NAN)

Strange disease hits Nassarawa State, paralyses 6 family members.

Six members of a family in Gitata, Nasarawa State have been paralysed by a strange disease. The six are the children of the late Danladi Bawa and usually suffer the affliction after turning 18 years, the eldest male in the family, Mr Danlami Danladi, said.

Danladi said in the family compound in Gitata on Saturday that their father died in 1990, while their mother died in 2017 but not from the disease.

“My name is Danlami Danladi, I am 38 years old; as you can see, our parents are late.

“My father died in 1990 after a brief illness and our mother died in 2017 from malaria and typhoid attack.

“Our parents did not die of this disease. They gave birth to eight of us and six of us have been paralysed by a mysterious ailment.

“When we grow up and reach the age of 18, we find ourselves paralysed. We don’t know what happens and this kind of disease.

“When my father died in 1990, it was our mother that usually provided us with our needs. Her death affected us more as we find it difficult to eat and take care of our medical treatment.

“I am the second born of our parents and I was paralysed in 2006. And let me tell you what disturbs us is that, six of us were paralysed when we were above the age of 18.

“It was after we grew up and we don’t know what is happening to our family.

“All of us went to Federal Medical Centre, Keffi and Godiya Clinic, Jabba Local Government Area of Kaduna State, after various tests, they told us that nothing was discovered.

“We pray that we will be healed of this mysterious disease one day,” he said.

Danladi appealed to the federal and state governments as well as well-meaning Nigerians to come to their assistance through the provision of foodstuffs as well as medical needs.

He said that because of their conditions they could not fend for themselves.

“I was repairing handsets before but now I cannot do the job because I have been paralysed and I pray that God will heal me and my brothers and sisters from this kind of mysterious disease,” he added.

Other members of the family are Asabe, married and has five children, Pius, Maikasuwa, Danjuma and Cecelia, all paralysed.

Their siblings, Hanatu and Joshua are the ones free of the disease, being the youngest members of the family.

Mr Shuaibu Ahmadu, a resident and hunter in the area, said the people were shocked by the affliction and prayed God to heal them.

“This disease will only paralyse them when they grow up, we wonder why.

“We pray God to heal them and protect the remaining two children of the family from the disease,” Ahmadu said. (NAN)

Tinubu, Saraki’s humiliation will make Buhari’s re-election difficult – Shehu Sani

The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani, has warned that the humiliation of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, the All Progressives Congress, APC, the national leader, Bola Tinubu, by the federal government, will make tough the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He stated that the ruling APC failed to accord Saraki and TInubu the respect they deserve for their contributions to the 2015 victory of the present government.

Recall that Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, had stated that her husband was, “trashed” after the party won the 2015 elections, adding that the former Lagos governor was sidelined despite his efforts towards ensuring that APC won the polls.

Speaking with Saturday Sun, Sani said, “I must be frank with you, Tinubu has endured a lot of humiliation under the present administration. He was never much consulted, never much recognised as somebody who sacrificed his energy, time and resources to bring the party to where it is.
“It is rather unfortunate that after the party won and the government established, some people started calling some people criminals, thieves and people of questionable character.

“The South-West political leaders who contributed to the victory of the party have been treated with disdain and contempt. That is in inimical to the interest of the South-West.”

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, says at least 7.4 million pupils are benefitting from the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP) of the Federal Government.   Osinbajo who was represented by Boss Mustapha, Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), made the disclosure at a National Symposium on NHGSFP on Friday in Abuja. The symposium, organised in partnership with the National Social Investment Office, was in honour of the African Day of School Feeding. NHSGSP is one of the pillars of the social investment efforts of the Federal Government.   “I am amazed at the level this wonderful programme has attained; this is a major success recorded. The programme provides a social safety net that improves the health and education of the poorest and most vulnerable children. NHSGSP is among our efforts to combat poverty; it is anchored on ensuring nutrition for our children. It is our attempt to reach the family unit in very real times; we have some good work in this regard; it is currently operating in 22 states in Nigeria with 7, 487, 441 pupils as beneficiaries. We must appreciate the micro-economic effect of this; it has engaged 75, 330 cooks; over 8000 persons are employed in the value chain– that helps in fighting poverty,’’ he said.   Mustapha said that there was need for all stakeholders to scale up their efforts at making the programme a huge success.  He called on all arms of government to strengthen their commitment to NHSGSP.

The convener of the ‘Not Too Young To Run’ initiative in Surulere Federal Constituency I in Lagos State, Mr. Ifeoluwa Chris, has called on youths to participate in politics instead of lamenting and blaming the older politicians.

Speaking at the first general assembly of the group, themed, ‘The youth and their significance to the struggle for a new Nigeria’, Chris said the symposium was to create awareness for youths in Surulere and its environs to wake up from their slumber and join politics.

The statement quoted Chris, who is an aspirant to the House of Reps, as saying, “Let us (youths) stop lamenting and blaming the older politicians. We are young and vibrant and if we feel things are not done properly then it’s high time we took up the mantle.

“Do not say no to the fifth term in your bedroom. Come out openly and say no to the fifth term in Surulere Federal Constituency I and let people hear our voices.”

He also donated books and other educational materials to students in selected schools across the nine wards that formed the constituency.

He said the donation was to to make learning attractive and take pupils off the streets.

“I also urge the students to take advantage of the good educational policies currently running in Lagos State, given the foundation laid by our able leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu,” he added,

The statement noted that the aspirant also organised a one-week free health programme for the people of his constituency. The programme included free eye test and distribution of drugs to people with different ailments.

Blackmail, Hate Speech Brought Buhari To Power In 2015 – Sule Lamido

A presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sule Lamido, has said President Muhammadu Buhari used blackmail and hate speech to win the 2019 election.

The former governor of Jigawa state made this known when he met with PDP chieftains in the state to declare his intention to run for the 2019 presidency.

The PDP chieftains noted that three years down the line, Nigeria had become a war zone because of the incompetence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led administration.

Lamido said: “In 2019, the coast is clear. There is no way APC will win. Look at the country, are we united? Are we stable? Are we prosperous? Are we secure? We’ve become a world embarrassment; we are becoming an ancient nation. So PDP will come back in 2019.

"There is no way, Buhari will ever come back no matter what he does, because he knows he is a contraption who rode on the notions of the Nigerian people based on blackmail, sentiment and hate speech.”
