Ochanya Ogwuche Crowned As Miss Idoma.

Ochanya Ogwuche, Miss Idoma
imageOchanya Blessing Ogwuche believes that failure is the opportunity ... Ochanya Blessing Ogwuche believes that failure is the opportunity to begin again, even more intelligently. Since losing the keenly contested Miss Benue Beauty Pageant to the winner by a very close margin, the effervescent lady never succumbed to failure, she thus entered for the maiden edition of Miss Idoma, organised by Free Image Entertainment in Otukpo, Benue State towards the tail end of last year. Luck, however, smiled on Ogwuche as she emerged the winner, carting home mouth-watering prizes including a brand new car donated by Hon. Nelson Alapa, representing Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency.

Blockbuster cornered the new queen during a dinner party organized in her honour by a fast-rising Nollywood actress Ene Ogiri, and graced by notable dignitaries such as the former Deputy Governor of Benue State, Prince Ogiri Agene, and former Chairman of Agatu Local Government, Mrs. Owakoyi Egharuwa, among others. The 200 level student of Psychology in Benue State University (BSU) gave a full insight into her personality, her foray into pageantry, why she cried when she was declared winner as well as her future plans. Enjoy:

My inspiration
I feel great winning the contest. My mum and dad are my inspiration. My parents inspired me a lot. Also, I am crazy about Fashion TV. I got much encouragement from my dad and mum. When I was growing up, they used to call me contestant number one. I love beauty pageant so much.

Why I cried
I cried that night because I wasn't expecting to win. All the contestants were beautiful on stage. We were all contesting for just one crown. The competition was very tough. There were 12 beautiful contestants and I wasn't expecting to win. In fact, I was shocked when I was announced the winner.

Proliferation of beauty pageants
Before I became Miss Idoma, I used to have the negative notion that the proliferation of beauty pageants and other entertainment competition is having a negative influence on the youth such as not allowing them focus on their education. But if you are not into something, you won't know that thing well. Other professions have their negative influences too. One thing is I will never forget my root because I was somebody before I became a star. I will not let stardom get into my head.

What I'll do for Idoma women
As a beauty queen, I intend to correct the notion that the Idoma woman is soft in the head. I will let people know the fact that they have to accept us for what we are. I will let them know that our softness does not in any way mean foolishness. We are soft because that is supposed to be the nature of women. I will let the Idoma women know and accept the fact that they are a unique people.

Pet project
The first thing I am going to do is keep the land of Idoma clean because I feel Idoma land is not as clean as it should be. I will also try to promote the Idoma culture

Why Men Cheat On Their Wives.

Men like Jesse James, Tiger Woods and John Edwards had it all: talent, fame, money, and a beautiful family. Yet with everything to lose, they cheated on their wives. Why DO men stray? Here are 9 reasons…

Approximately 40% of men seek sexual satisfaction outside their relationships, estimates Kat Hertlein, Ph.D., professor of human development at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas and a marriage and family therapist.

That number hasn’t changed much since 1950, when the famous Kinsey sex study found that 50% of U.S. men cheat at some point in their marriages.

Why They Cheat
The No.1 reason: Men crave sexual “variety,” according to David Buss, professor of psychology at the University of Texas and author of The Evolution of Desire: Strategies of Human Mating (BasicBooks).

“They’ve evolved the desire to be with different women,” he says.

That’s because it’s very simple for men to reproduce (one act of sex versus nine months of pregnancy for women), so to create as many offspring as possible they’re biologically programmed to mate with many women.

“The ‘payoff’ in reproductive currencies [kids] of a short-term mating strategy generally has been higher for men than women,” Buss says.

So after thousands of generations, “this has forged in the male brain a desire for sexual variety.”

Other top reasons men cheat? They’re unhappy with their mates - and extramarital sex is cheaper and easier to get these days, Buss says.

And "power wives" beware: Being married to a high-profile guy ups the odds he’ll wander.

“Women are attracted to men who have power and status, so public figures usually have plenty of opportunity,” Buss says.

Whether your guy is a political animal, an A-list celeb or just a cubicle-mate, his motivation to cheat is the same, according to one relationship expert.

“Ninety-nine percent of the time, there’s a simple reason why: boredom,” says Steve Santagati, author of The Manual: A True Bad Boy Explains How Men Think, Date and Mate – and What Women Can Do to Come Out on Top (Crown).

Whatever the reasons, cheaters give monogamous men (the majority) a bad name.

Why they say they cheat

Here are 9 excuses guys give for doing the extramarital mambo:

1. She ain’t what she used to be.

Like Adam, the typical man can’t resist the temptation of riper fruit, especially if the woman in his life has let herself go.

“If she got lazy or gained weight or just doesn’t take care of herself, a guy will start looking at other women,” Santagati says.

Women who want to keep their men on a short leash need to take a “good, hard look in the mirror,” he adds.

And men should do the same. He might be a complete slob and still be demanding perfection from her. “It’s the typical double standard.”

For their part, guys should also make an effort to rediscover the spark at home.

“Make her feel pretty, even if you’re lying,” he advises. “Tell her how beautiful she is and how much you appreciate it. It will make her feel sexy and she’ll want to make you happy.”

That attention can lead to a more satisfying sex life, agrees Sue Johnson, a professor of clinical psychology at the University of Ottawa and author of Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love (Little Brown and Company).

“All the evidence shows that when [women] feel safe and connected, you’re better at taking care of your partner.”

2. No one loves a ball buster.

Perhaps nothing will drive a married man into the arms of another woman faster than a nagging wife.

“She’s like a mosquito,” Santagati says. “He doesn’t want to have sex with her; he wants to [swat her away].”

The more viable option: hot sex with a more “understanding” woman.

Hogwash, says Steven Solomon, Ph.D., author of Intimacy After Infidelity: How to Rebuild & Affair-Proof Your Marriage (New Harbinger).

“[A woman] didn't do something that excuses cheating." Whatever the relationship dynamic, it’s not that healthy to begin with if it leads to infidelity, Solomon says.

3. She just doesn’t “get” me.

Men who cheat say they don’t feel understood by their mate. But it’s not always the woman. Mostly they’re either angry or afraid to connect.

“It’s easier for men to go outside the relationship than work it out with their partner,” says UNLV’s Hertlein. “We see this ‘triangulation’ a lot.”

A deep-seated fear of intimacy can be hard for some guys to overcome. And they’re more likely to cheat again, especially if they don’t go to couples therapy, Hertlein says.

4. It’s the thrill.

Most guys who have affairs are getting in touch with their inner caveman: They like to play with fire. “It adds a level of danger,” Santagati says, “and danger adds to the excitement.”

By keeping surprise and sizzle in your sex life, a woman can keep the home fires burning so hot that her man won’t have any reason to cheat.

But that's not the whole story. Solomon says men also cheat because of fear, loneliness or anger.

“The betraying partner's failure to deal with these feelings is what causes him to be unfaithful," he says.

5. Blame it on the “hunter”.

Often, married men who cheat can’t quite explain their motivation. They just find themselves compelled to bust out of their day-to-day routine in search of something new. It’s a primitive instinct that dates back to their role as hunter and gatherer – only this time, they’re hunting and gathering new women.

“Maybe he married too young,” Santagati says, “or he just feels as if he hasn’t seen everything.”

Women can protect themselves by getting wise to this behavior early in the relationship – and getting out.

Santagati suggests you can find out more about a man’s dating history by watching how he acts in a room full of gorgeous women.

If you can’t rein him in when your romance is new, you’ll never control him down the road when your life together is more settled. “The first three months are critical,” he says.

6. Biology, baby.

“It’s our biological nature to be with as many females as possible,” Santagati says.

“Once we’ve seen a woman naked several times, it becomes commonplace. It doesn’t matter if you’re Jessica Alba or Sienna Miller, we become accustomed to your body and want to experience something different – different lips, different body types. We’re only monogamous because we realize that love and friendship are more important than getting laid.”

But Juliet Williams, associate professor of women’s studies at UCLA disagrees. “No matter how stunningly high the number of male cheaters, we know it’s not biological,” she says. “There are still a higher percentage of men who are monogamous.”

Whether it’s evolution, biology or simple novelty, infidelity researchers agree that men do seek different sex partners. However, the decision whether to cheat is entirely in a man’s control.

“Most men don’t act on those desires because they don’t want to jeopardize social reputations or marriages,” says University of Texas’ Buss.

“Former President Jimmy Carter, for example, told an interviewer that he had ‘lust in his heart’ but as far as we knew, he never acted on it,” he says.

7. It’s just sex.

For most guys, sex and love are two entirely different things.

“We really believe, ‘I can still love my wife and want to have sex with other women.’ We separate it in our brains,” Santagati says.

That rationale allows guys to cheat guilt-free, with one notable exception:

“Any guilt that a man has after sex isn’t about the sex itself, it’s about the consequences,” Santagati says. “Will she be a stalker? Will my wife find out?

"If a guy is in a committed, monogamous relationship, he should ask himself one question before he cheats: Is it worth it? He should consider the worst-case scenario, meaning that his wife finds out and is now brokenhearted. Is it worth it?”

8. Not tonight, dear.

Let’s face it. Men want more sex than women.

So when their partner is tired from wrangling kids all day and unwilling to try new things, even the most loyal hubbies get bored and go looking for nookie.

More sexually permissive men who don’t have equally adventurous partners are also more apt to wander, says UNLV’s Hertlein.

Their sexual values are just not compatible.

9. Because we can.

OK, we’re guys, remember? It’s hard to resist temptation, especially when it’s at our fingertips.

Thanks to the Internet, it’s easier for men to cheat anytime, anywhere… while they’re watching TV or on the laptop in bed next to their sleeping wives.

“We’re not talking about penis and vaginas,” Hertlein says. “Cheating is defined as anything that breaches a relationship contract.”

“That includes “sexy communication and flirting that’s kept secret from your partner.”

Forgive and Forget?

Whether your man is having sex online or in a hotel room, should you take him back?

“We think of people who betray us as cads, bad people, immature,” Solomon says. “But most are normal folks who get lost in not taking care of themselves and their marriage.”

And if you forgive and forget, could he cheat again?

Despite guys’ excuses, the decision to cheat or stay faithful isn’t something women can control.

“Even if you’re the worse spouse on Earth, your partner can find better ways to deal with his unhappiness,” Solomon says. “You can't make someone cheat any more than you can make someone drink or abuse you.”

Will he cheat? Rate the Risk

It's thought that about 60% of men cheat on their partners - and 70% of wives don't have a clue. Is your guy ever-true... or a sneaky cheat. . . . . . . .Mine is not.

Saying that blackberry is the in-thing among upwardly mobile men and women would be stating the obvious. However, what has not ceased to amaze many is their latest addiction to this latest communication device and why most of them cannot do without it. Most who own this smart phone do not only use it as a luxury brand but also make use of the several facilities that makes communication much easier. There are many-advanced technological functions in it. The Blackberry phone is blessed with good features, made according to the need, and requirements of the people especially if you are in any specialized area of field. Today many people are using it just because of its extra ordinary interface. In this report, City People Fashion Editor, BOLA AKINBOADE presents 5 reasons big boys and babes can't do without this new craze.

NETWORKING
Right now, what most people do is to create different groups on Blackberry depending on their line of business such as fashion, business, modeling, and others. And all they do is to invite their friends to the group. With that, it makes networking easy among all the group members. Apart from building friendship among the members, they also use the medium to market their products to group members. The group functions allow members to post status updates, share content between members, share files, pictures of their goods and services, media and appointments. And most of these groups have been able to build their relationships beyond the parameters of the phone as they now host each other to business dinner and luncheon amongst others to officialize their business relationship and meet one-on-one.

DATING
Blackberry also facilitates dating and helps builds strong relationship among lovers and spouses. It now plays a crucial role in the dating and marriage circle. And this is because of the Blackberry Instant messages that allow the lovers to chat as long as they want. Apart from chatting, you can also share pictures, voice notes, videos and this gives the partner the opportunity to share in any activities or incidence he/she might not be available physically. Couples and Lovers now rely on the phones to maintain personal relationships despite the modern realities of living apart, working hectic schedules, long working hours, heavy traffic and others. The Blackberry phone provide them with a “perpetual virtual” connection. It also now plays a role in arranged marriages options for finding a partner. The Blackberry makes it a little easier to facilitate an arranged marriage at a distance, because of the facilities embedded in it, the two partners can connect with each other via their BB pin and kick it off instantly by sharing pictures and have a constant communication. For working couples, it makes it easier for the husband and wife to connect with each other in the course of the day despite their busy day. And with the regular updates of the Blackberry Messenger, they can both have an idea of what is happening in each other's world even without communicating.

UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION
One thing that gives the Blackberry phone an edge among other phones is its up-to-date information. Its gives you abreast of what is happening around your environment. The Blackberry gives you the opportunity to get instant mails and because of the email facility in it, and with this function; you will be able to send an e-mail to anybody anywhere in the world. Blackberry phones use the push technology, where all emails, calendar entries, documents or any other data directly to the phone via the internet. This is possible due to the Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES), responsible for the forwarding of all the aforementioned items. Apart from the instant mail, it also provides facilities for instant messages from your facebook, twitter, flickr, my space and other social network. This unique kind of operation is what caused the popularity of the Blackberries, and with this technology improving over time. Another way that people also share information on Blackberry is through “Broadcast Message” via the Blackberry Messenger. With this, minute-by –minute information are been shared among people on the same contact list.

EVENT PROMOTION
Blackberry is also another good medium to promote Events. This is done by constant broadcasting of the details of the event to all your contacts on the Blackberry Messenger. Also, people also promote their events by updating their status with a catchy caption for the event, while their profile picture can also be seen carrying the events invitation picture or logo too. Others also set up a group especially for the event, and by doing this, they promote the event among their group members and also encourage group members to pass the message to their friends and associate.

COST EFFECTIVENESS
All the handsets of this family are business oriented. It has only introduced internet with mobile phone. Earlier it was impossible to buy blackberry phones but in UK deals have made it possible. Blackberry is popular for its QWERTY keypad with practically unlimiteds entries and fields, GPRS, Instant Messaging and it is common in almost many of its handsets. Cheap blackberry phones are affordable for all class of people. These phones can be used as any of the phones like SIM free mobile phone , SIM Only mobile ,pay as you go phones and also as Contract mobile phone. All these deals are available through all the leading networking companies such as Globacom, MTN, Airtel and Etisalat.. All you have to do is to only pay a monthly subscription and you will enjoy all the features embedded in it. The Blackberry has made communication easier and cheaper, as it is cost effective. It is now the 2nd largest seller of mobile phones.

-HUBBY STRIPS CAROLINE DANJUMA NAKED BEFORE DOMESTIC STAFF. -CLOSES DOWN GUEPARD PRODUCTIONS

Click for Full Image Size
 )

These are indeed tough times for ex actress caroline ekanem-danjuma. she is a perfect example of when one says''the rich also cry''.
According to what olofofos are whispering the bubble burst for caroline on new years day 2011.

'She rented an apartment for her former artistes and took a room inside where she used to frolick with her male friends.problem started when caro fell out with those who had her secret meanderings at their palm.these supposed close allies reported her escapdes to an already suspecting musa danjuma who immediately moved into action.she is accused of having tango-ed with some of the artistes she signed on guepard records.

Because of these allegations she has been incarcerated in her parkview home and placed incommunicado by the hubby after being stripped naked in her matrimonial home in front of the domestic staff, but for her husbands daughter named mary, caro would have been pushed out of her supposed home in parkview.

The actress has been forbidden access to twitter, facebook and any other social network online, the only time she gets to know what is happening is only when the husbands daughter mary visits her in her mini prison .

Guepard productions/records,the company caro runs was finally closed down on the 29th of december 2010 under ty danjumas instruction. All the millions of naira given to her to execute projects for the company she squandered all on expensive bags and shoes.
After the closure of the company a certain staff of hers took one of the companys car away and the car was just recovered on friday january 21,2011,the guy and the editor kayode are cooling off in police station as at press time.also one of her cameras with a mac pro laptop in the editing suite have vanished into thin air.

As at the time of filing this report, the ex actress is not allowed to see her kids and her phones have been confiscated, when she wants to go out,she is not allowed to go out alone and someone escorts her to wherever she wants to go and brings her back.

The family is really trying to cover up this big disgrace because they detest this kind of negatvie publicity. guepard records was a big failure because caro was just interested in spending the money, for the brief period she was boss, she changed 4 general managers in 12 months.4 accountants in 12 months, 3 editors in one year and countless infidelity accusations trail her.

She even fell out with hilda ekama, her best friend who used to double as her personal assistant''.

I honestly pray that this young lady survives the storm threatening to swallow her at the moment and that she learns from the mistakes that has put her in the situation she has found herself.

I also hope she learns how to treat people from now on,being money drunk and treating people wrong aint right!. God please, intervene in this matter and set things right...hopefully there will be no denials.!

Get Tips On How to Care For Your Human Hair Extensions.

Hair extensions are a wonderful way to add highlights, thickness or simply make your hair longer. While they can improve your look dramatically, if they’re not taken care of properly, they won’t do much for you. These simple tips will help you take the best care of your hair extensions so that they will last a long time and you will get your moneys worth.
Difficulty: Moderate

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hair extensions
  • Moisturizing shampoo
  • Moisturizing conditioner
  • Deep conditioner
  • Shine serum
  • Heat protection cream
  • Scissors

Be gentle. One of the most important things about hair extensions is that you have to baby them. When you are brushing your hair, be gentle. Without the proper treatment, your hair extensions will get damaged quickly. Wash with moisturizing hair care products.

This step is especially important if you are using clip in hair extensions because the hair will not get any of the moisture from the natural oils your scalp produces. Moisturizing hair care products will keep your hair healthy. If you are longing for shine, use a serum. Many hair care products that promote shine have a drying affect on hair.

Don’t forget to deep condition. Once a week you want to deep condition your hair extensions. Leave it on the hair for approximately 20 to 30 minutes and rinse. This extra TLC will give your hair an extra moisturizing boost.

Keep those ends trimmed. No matter what you do, your hair extensions will inevitably get split ends. The best way to keep split ends from getting out of control is to regularly trim them. Trim the ends of the hair every 6 to 10 weeks. Keep in mind that you don’t want to trim too much, otherwise you will quickly lose the length of your hair. You can either do it yourself or have a professional trim them.

Use a heat protectant. Nowadays, just about everyone uses heated appliances on their hair. Whether it’s a blow dryer, curling iron or flat iron, they all have one thing in common: they damage your hair. If you want to make your extensions last, your best bet is to use a heat protectant whenever you use a heated appliance on your hair. This simple step will prevent breakage and keep your locks looking great a lot longer.

Tips & Warnings

  • Wash your extensions every 2 to 3 days. This will prevent them from getting dried out due to over shampooing and conditioning.
  • Make sure to carefully cut the hair. It doesn’t grow back!

Fashion Tips ;Avoid Making Office Fashion Mistakes.

While office fashion has become more casual over the last few years, an office is still a place where employers would like to see professional dress. This doesn't mean you have to forgo style and wear only dowdy clothing. It simply means some fashion judgment should be used when you work in a professional setting Here are some office fashions that should probably be kept as far from the office as possible.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

  1. 1
    Office fashion mistake: Excessive jewelry.

Multiple pieces of large jewelry tend to be overwhelming in an office setting. Make a particular effort to avoid multiple, large bracelets that jangle when you move your arms. Save these for your evening office party.
  2. 2
    Office fashion mistake: Sneakers.

Yes, they're comfortable but they're designed more for the country club than they are the office setting. Trade in the sneakers for a comfortable pair of soft flat shoes if you want your feet to feel good at the end of the day.
  3. 3
Office fashion mistake: Wearing a halter or tank top.

Halter and tank tops tend to be too casual for an office setting. A tank top may be acceptable if worn beneath a dark blazer. Otherwise leave the tanks and halter tops for your next trip to the beach.
  4. 4
Office fashion mistake: Showing too much.

The office is not the place to wear the new bustier you just bought at Fredericks of Hollywood. Yes, you may get a few stares but they won't necessarily be complimentary. Save your revealing clothing for a night out on the town.
  5. 5
Office fashion mistake: Wearing a printed t-shirt or sweatshirt.

A printed t-shirt or sweatshirt is too casual for most office settings. In addition, you run the risk of offending other workers if the message is controversial. It seems unlikely your boss will be impressed by a t-shirt sporting a message such as "I have an attitude problem". This is not the quickest way to get on the fast track for a promotion. If you must wear a t-shirt, make sure it's not printed and you're wearing a professional looking blazer over it.
  6. 6
Office fashion mistake: Wearing a miniskirt.

Miniskirts are cute and flirty, but mostly on people under the age of twenty. While it may be acceptable for an older women to wear a miniskirt in the evening or to a special event, an office is not the place for super short skirts. Even if you look great in a short skirt, you're sending the wrong message to your boss and to your co-workers. Why not wear a skirt that stops a little above the knee? Chances are you'll still feel fashionable and will look more professional

Anambra: Voters' Registration Centres Found in Evil Forest.

Shock and disbelief could best describe the mood of Anambra State Deputy Governor, Mr. Emeka Sibeudu and the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for the state, Prof. Chukwuemeka Onukaogu, yesterday when the duo led security operatives to discover four registration centres located at a shrine in a deep forest.

The four centres which are in the deep Nziko forest at Nteje in Oyi Local Government Area, were manned by registration officers and had, at the time of the discovery, registered only about 200 voters since the commencement of the exercise 10 days ago.

Following security reports made available to Governor Peter Obi, his deputy and the REC led security operatives to the forest where the startling revelation of the four centres with the accompanying Direct Data Capture (DDC) machines was made.

On arrival at the forest which took about 40 minutes drive from the nearest residential area, the registration officers, mainly corps members, were idle and gazing at the machines with virtually nobody to register.

Reacting to the incident, the shock-stricken Prof. Onukaogu, described as painful, the discovery of four centres serving nobody in a thick forest when there were not enough machines for potential voters in places like Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, Adazi, Agulu and others.

He said: “I have heard of floating/flying polling booths. Today, I have seen one. I am sad that there are four machines wasting here, whereas there are no machines in Onitsha, Eke Awka, Ozubulu, Nnewi and parts of Anaocha where thousands of people are waiting to be registered.”

Onukaogu noted that the four centres had registered only about 200 voters since the exercise started 10 days ago, when the same machines would have registered several thousands had they been located in densely-populated areas.
He said the irregular location of the centres also posed grave risk to the registration officers and the machines, questioning, “how will I evacuate men and machines in the event of danger?”

The REC boss alleged that the centres have been secured by an influential politician from the area, who would want to use it to rig election, but assured that he would remove three machines and leave one behind, just as he would need to meet with the registration officials before taking action.

Onukaogu stressed that he was constrained by the fact that the “floating registration centres” deep in the forest were documented from the INEC Abuja headquarters and assured it would be corrected. Also speaking, the Deputy Governor, who expressed shock at the location of the registration centres, said: “We have shortfalls in machines. But in the forest here, there are four machines lying idle. All the people we met here are not up to 10. But if you go to some other places, you will find thousands of people waiting to be registered”.

Describing such registration centres as what people use to perpetuate electoral fraud, the deputy governor said: “This, I can assure you, is part of the rascality of the past which the present government under Mr. Peter Obi is trying hard to stamp out of the state.”

However, a former deputy chairman of Oyi Local Government, Chief Samuel Offorkansi, who is overseeing affairs at the voting centres, insisted that the place had been serving as voting and registration centres since 1998, stressing that contrary to what the people think, the centres were in the midst of densely populated villages.
