The Naira on Friday depreciated against the dollar as it traded at N208 from the N191.50 it sold for on Monday, Jan. 19.
The rate has made the naira to lose N16.50 within five days.

APC Supporter Gunned Down In Lagos.

An All Progressives Congress supporter in the Agege area of Lagos State, Mr. Eyitayo Peters aka Abona, lost his life on Thursday after being shot in the face on Orile Road.

A correspondent, who was also in the area during the time of the shooting, learnt that another APC supporter, Lanre Ogunjimi, was shot in the waist on the same road but was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was immediately taken into the theatre for surgery.

Pandemonium erupted on Thursday at the Ibrahim Babangida Square, Venue of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential campaign rally in Bauchi as angry youths reportedly pelted politicians at the event with dangerous objects like hammer, stones, slippers among other things.

National Security Adviser Calls On INEC To Postpone The Elections.

A twist seems to have been added to the growing apprehension over the conduct of the 2015 general elections, as the National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki, today called on the Independent National Electoral Commission to postpone the elections.

According to Dasuki, who spoke at a forum in London at Chatham House, said the call was to enable Nigeria’s electoral body room for proper preparations and distribution of Permanent Voter Cards, PVC.
