A Pakistani attorney said on Thursday he has filed a court petition seeking the return of the famed Koh-i-Noor diamond Britain forced India to hand over in colonial times.

DSS Uncovers Boko Haram Cells In Abuja.






The Department of State Services said it has uncovered Boko Haram cells around the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.The Service said the cells are being formed to enable the dreaded sect conduct surveillance activities prior to striking in the country’s capital.
A statement on Saturday by its spokesman, Tony Opuiyo, said the DSS has uncovered many of such cells.

They are 23.7km Hiltop/Agbaja/Nwofe state road in Ebonyi north senatorial zone, 15.5 km Ehamufu/Umuhali/NIGERCEM federal road in Ebonyi central, and the 23.5 km Okposi/Amarasiri/Uburu federal road in Ebonyi south senatorial zone.
An expatriate company, China Zhungaoi, is handling the Ebonyi north and Central zones road projects while Conrok Nigerian Limited is handling that of Ebonyi south.

A former Commissioner for Finance and Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Adamawa state during Boni Haruna’s administration, John Elias has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment without option of fine by a Federal High Court sitting in Yola, presided over by Justice Bilkisu Bello Aliyu.

The Special Adviser to the Bayelsa State Governor on Inter-Party Matters, Hon. Austin Adigio, and three other members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Okpoama and Eweama communities of Brass Local Government Area of the state were on Friday macheted in a bloody attack ahead of the election.
Journalists were informed that Adigio, who served as Personal Assistant to Chief Timipre Sylva and recently decamped to join Governor Seriake Dickson’s administration, was allegedly attacked by several armed youths believed to be members of the All Progressives Congress.
