Supreme Court Sacks APC's Hon Orker Jev House Of Rep Member From Benue State.

Supreme Court has ordered Mr. Orker Jev of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, representing Buruku Federal Constituency of Benue State in the National Assembly to vacate his seat with immediate effect.

The apex court ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC,  to conduct a fresh election within 90 days to feel the vacancy caused by Jev's removal.

Parties in the appeal were Orker Jev, the appellant,  while other respondents were Serkar Iortyom, the Independent National Electoral Commission, ACN (now APC).

Jev had gone to the Supreme Court to challenge the decision of the Court of Appeal Makurdi which affirmed the ruling of the lower court which asked INEC to withdraw the certificate of return issued to him.

Justice Walter Onoghen, who presided at the hearing directed that the name of Jev be removed from the ballot box and replaced with that of the 1st respondent (Iortyom).
The panel also ordered that the appellant (Jev) "shall pay the sum of N500, 000 (Five hundred thousand Naira) to each of the respondents except the 2nd respondent (INEC).

"This appeal is devoid of merit; it is hereby accordingly dismissed. There must be a fresh election to elect a new member for the Buruku Federal Constituency in the National Assembly", Justice Onoghen said.

Boko Haram Kidnaps Three Emirs, Kills Emir of Gwoza.

According to Saharareporters,
Members of the Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram, today kidnapped three traditional rulers—called Emirs—in Nigeria’s volatile and violence-plagued northeast. Two of the emirs were later escaped unhurt, but the third, Muhammadu Idrisa Timta, the Emir of Gwoza, died at the hands of the kidnappers.

SaharaReporters learnt that Boko Haram gunmen seized the emirs as they made a trip to Gombe, the capital of Gombe State, to attend the funeral of the Emir of Gombe, Shehu Abubakar, who died last Tuesday in London.

“Boko Haram militants ambushed their [emirs’] convoy and kidnapped the traditional rulers,” a security source told SaharaReporters.

Two of the  traditional rulers who escaped were identified as the Emir of Askira, Abdullahi Askirama and the Emir Of Uba, Ismaila Mamza

Kenyans Now Inject Themselves To Bleach Their Skin.

Kenyans now use injections to bleach their skins,we got these recently and we are wondering why they have to bleach with injections.
According bossip,
Rose is a skin bleaching gurus that operate along River Road in downtown Nairobi, a hub for illicit activities that is notorious for its knock-off electronics, budget brothels, flamboyant transsexuals and petty crime. It is also known for its backstreet beauticians, like Rose, who promise clients that their treatments will make them look six years younger and ten shades lighter.

These salons have been around for a long time, and have caused a number of health scares over the years, often due to creams with high mercury content, but recently more extreme treatments have started to become popular and are causing concern amongst health officials.

The popularity of skin-bleaching injections has rocketed over the last 18 months according to Dr Pranav Pancholi, a Harvard-trained dermatologist who works at Kenya’s Shah Hospital. Pranav says because it’s a recent phenomenon, no one really knows what the long-term health implications are.

“The injection lightens you from inside. It makes women clean,” she tells me. “If you want an even color and fast results, injecting is much better than a cream.”

The injection is expensive at $70 per shot, nearly a month’s salary for many Kenyans. “Most of my clients are wealthy and some are national celebrities,” she says. “Many are Somali or Indian. But, those ones never come to my shop. They send a driver with a photo of their skin color and I supply what they need.”

She says her dream is to be as white as a European and she will try anything to achieve her objective. “My husband prefers half-caste women to darker girls, and he is proud to be mine when we go to the club,” she says. “I get far more male attention now I am lighter.”

Do you think skin bleaching is an international problem because the standards of beauty are set by Europeans?

When will people of color learn to love themselves and the skin they are in?

Tiwa Savage Latest Video "Wanted".Do You Like It?

Tiwa bombed her fans early this week with her latest video titled Wanted ,they have taken to every available space on the internet to either praise or discredit the new video. The video titled: ‘Wanted’ has Tiwa singing and swinging in a brown breast tube and just a piece of cloth to scarcely cover her sensitive parts. Every other part of her body, as shown by the video seemingly remained bare due to the almost transparent body suit she wore.

While many have continued to praise her courage, arguing that she has lifted the Nigerian music industry to another level, others have simply criticised her for debasing religion, morality, the culture and tradition of Nigeria.

Our Report Indicted Alison-Madueke, NNPC, Says Makarfi, Saraki.

Contrary to media reports purporting to suggest that the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, and the management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) have been absolved of any blame concerning the unaccounted for oil fund, former governors of Kaduna and Kwara States, Ahmed Makarfi and Bukola Saraki, have said the report of the Senate Finance Committee actually indicted the minister and the oil corporation.

The submitted report had stated that neither the $48.9 billion nor $20 billion belonging to the federal government was missing, as alleged by the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.Makarfi, who spoke in an interview with journalists in Kaduna, said it would be too hasty to conclude that the report of his committee would be the final one on the controversies surrounding the unaccounted for funds because certain recommendations in the report are interim.

According to the former Kaduna governor, since there is an ongoing forensic audit on the issue, it was proper to wait for its outcome.“I will not want to say our report is the final report because certain recommendations in the report are interim.

There is an ongoing forensic audit and we said that will be subject to the outcome of the forensic audit.“Where there was dispute was between the figure of $20 billion and $10.8 billion. Even that dispute was not that it was really missing. What has been done with that money? Nobody said at that time that the money was missing.“A party alleged that it was not remitted to the federation account.  If it was not remitted to the federation account, it can be hanging in one account or the other.

“We were to find out where that money was. We took the larger figure of $20 billion, not the other figure of $10.8 billion and let’s see what happened to the money.“Out of that $20 billion, over $5 billion was spent on petrol payments. We tried to find out whether that money was appropriated, we checked the budgets of the relevant years and we found out that the National Assembly appropriated the money and it was expended.

So if the National Assembly appropriated the money for it to be expended, you cannot talk of money missing,” he said.On his part, Saraki, who is also the vice-chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, faulted media reports, claiming that the committee had cleared NNPC of any unaccounted for revenue fund.Saraki made the clarification in a statement issued by his special assistant on media, Mr Bankole Omishore, in Ilorin yesterday."Though I could not attend the last meeting of the committee, I have been very active in the investigation, nothing significant has changed to suggest clearing anybody."I can say on behalf of the committee that these media reports bear no correlation to the content of the Senate committee report and I would urge the public to disregard it in its entirety."The committee is yet to receive the report on the forensic audit and independent analysis on the subject clearly indicate we have a lot of grounds to cover in order to determine the level of culpability or otherwise of the agency on the alleged non-committal, so to suggest any clearance for anybody at this stage is out of the question."I will further advise that the media should wait for the Senate to release the details of the committee report to the public before they jump into spurious conclusions," he said. The committee’s report had however said the NNPC has to remit $262 million to the federation account, while maintaining that the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Petroeluem Resources had reconciled $47 billion of the unaccounted for revenue, which it said had been remitted into the federation account. The report had further wondered how Sanusi arrived at the figures he alleged to be unremitted.

The report had however indicted the Ministry of Finance, CBN and the NNPC for what it described as lack of coordination in record keeping as it concerns remitting crude oil proceeds.

Ex Ministers Two Kids Suffocate And Die After Locking Themselves In The Car.

Tragedy struck on Tuesday 27th May, at the Abuja home of former Police Affairs Minister Ibrahim Yakubu Lame as his two young children suffocated to death in a locked car. Two-year-old Farida, who was Dr. Lame’s daughter, and her 1-year-old cousin Isah Abubakar Tahir died after being trapped for over an hour playing in one of the cars parked in the house. The grieving fathers of the children, Dr. Lame and Abubakar Isah Tahir narrated to Daily Trust what happened. Farida’s father, who discovered the bodies, said it happened around 1.30 pm on Tuesday. “The house driver came back around 1.30pm and when the children saw him while they were playing in the compound pleaded with him to take them out for a drive. The driver, who wanted to put them off, told them not to worry and should let him pray and come back, so while he left to pray, they decided to enter the car. Farida my daughter was two years old and Sabir (Isah’s alias) her cousin was one year old, so they got into the car.” He explained that unfortunately the car has ‘child lock mechanism,’ which was on, so there was no way they could open the car from the inside, because it locks automatically. “Nobody noticed they were inside. Initially he told them he was going to pray but had no intention of coming back, and after his prayer he started sleeping,” Lame said By the time he discovered them after more than one hour of their being in the car, they were already dead. But I decided to rush them to the hospital,” Lame said. They were confirmed dead at a hospital in Gwarinpa." Source: Lailasblog

Labaran Says 90% Of #BringBackOurGirls Campaign Are APC Members.......

The Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, on Wednesday alleged that about 90 per cent of protesters campaigning for the release of the over 200 schoolgirls abducted from Chibok, Borno State, are members of the All Progressives Congress.

He also said that President Goodluck Jonathan had performed miracle with the achievements recorded by his administration in three years. He said the President deserved commendation because the feats were achieved despite the fact that no Nigerian leader had faced the kind of challenges he was facing now. Maku said this while answering questions from State House correspondents after the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by Jonathan. The minister also took a swipe at the APC, saying a lot of the nation’s resources were being spent by the Federal Government on insecurity in states controlled by the party. This notwithstanding, he alleged that about 90 per cent of protesters campaigning for the release of the over 200 schoolgirls were members of the APC. He said, “The entire money we are spending is to maintain security in states controlled by that party. So why do you come back and start playing politics? “We are busy spending money to maintain security in those states, what have they done about it? Because 90 per cent of all insurgency is in states controlled by that party, 90 per cent of those campaigning to bring back Chibok girls are members of that party. “I think that honestly if we want this country to grow, we must ask the relevant questions. The Chibok girls remain our number one priority, we will never sleep, we will not rest until God brings them out. “The Federal Government is a fire fighter. We did not create this insurgence or the structure that led to them, you know where they came from but you are now blaming the fire fighter for the fire.” The minister said after reviewing the performance of the first implementation plan of Vision 20:2020, the council returned a verdict that the country was on the right course under Jonathan. “We believe that the President needs to be congratulated and we did so because we believe what he has done in the last three years is a miracle if we look at the challenges, clear bottlenecks that were placed on his path by some of us the citizens of this country,” he said. Maku said it was clear that Nigeria under Jonathan had done better than most countries in Africa despite the challenges confronting the nation. He insisted that the killings, kidnappings and vandalism being recorded in parts of the country were planned to frustrate Jonathan and his administration. Despite these, however, Maku said the President had been able to improve the nation’s economy with his various reforms. He said after deliberating on the achievements and challenges of the vision between 2010 and 2013, the council returned the document to the Ministry of National Planning to rework some issues raised.

A senior police official in Pakistan says the husband of a woman stoned to death by her family earlier this week was arrested for killing his first wife, though the case against him was withdrawn. Police official Zulfiqar Ham

Mohammed Iqbal, was arrested after the 2009 killing but a family member later forgave him. That's allowed under Pakistani law. Iqbal did not respond to repeated requests for comment from The Associated Press.  Two of Iqbal's cousins said he had been forgiven by one of his sons for the killing. Iqbal's second wife was bludgeoned to death Tuesday in the eastern city of Lahore by family members. Iqbal and her lawyer said the family was angry because they wanted her to marry someone else.

Attempt To Implicate Muslims In A Boko Haram ‘attack’ On A Church In Osun State.

TEXT OF THE PRESS CONFERENCE HELD ON WEDNESDAY 28TH MAY, 2014 ON THE FAILED ATTEMPT TO IMPLICATE MUSLIMS IN A BOKO HARAM ‘ATTACK’ ON A CHURCH IN OSUN STATE

Distinguished Muslim Leaders, Brothers and Sisters in Islam, Gentlemen of the Press, As-Salaam Alaykum, I welcome you all to this World Press Conference. The need for this briefing is informed by a curious development in Osun State.

ATTEMPT BY A PASTOR IN OSUN STATE TO IMPLICATE MUSLIMS IN BOKO HARAM ‘ATTACK’: You are all aware of the precarious security situation in the country today with particular reference to the Boko Haram insurgency. Let me remind you that the leadership of the Nigerian Muslim Ummah, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’d Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has vehemently condemned the activities of Boko Haram. All Islamic organizations in the country have also rejected the group. Condemnation of Boko Haram and its satanic activities have also emanated from leading Islamic scholars in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. It is however sad to note that in spite of this all-round rejection of the renegade group by Muslims, a large section of the Christian community, some sections of the Nigerian security agencies and a section of the Nigerian press still treat mainstream Muslims in the country either as active members of Boko Haram, sympathizers of the group or their accomplices. This does not make sense because more Muslims than Christians have been killed since the emergence of this ugly phenomenon. More Islamic scholars have also been killed than Christian clerics, particularly Islamic scholars who speak out against Boko Haram. In addition, at least three Northern Emirs have been attacked by the rebellious group. It is now becoming clear that in spite of all these glaring facts, while some good and level-headed Christians continue to interact peacefully with Muslims, some overzealous Christians use every means possible to link peace-loving Muslims with the activities of Boko Haram. A good example of these fanatical Christians is the pastor of the Baptist Church, Ikonifin, Osun State, who attempted to launch false Boko Haram in the State. According to reports, Pastor Olatoke, who is also the CAN President of Ola Oluwa Local Government, conspired with three members of his church, Emmanuel Atanda, Peter Oyedepo and Ogunniyi Babatope to launch a false Boko Haram attack on his church with the aim of blaming Muslims for the attack. They therefore dressed like Muslims, wrapped their heads in turbans and covered their faces to avoid being recognized by members of the church.
They stormed the church during the church service held on Sunday 18th May, 2014. They threw banga which sounded like gunfire thus scaring all the worshippers who thought they were real Boko Haram insurgents. On seeing this, the worshippers took to their heels, running helter skelter to save their lives. Many of them were injured. They then jumped on their getaway motorcycles and sped off into the dark night. Fortunately the ‘attackers’ were arrested by the youths of the community. The culprits later confessed that they were members of the same church which they came to ‘attack’. They also revealed that it was their pastor who planned the whole thing. When confronted, the pastor said it was just ‘drama’. The case was reported at Bode Osi Police Station, near Iwo. MURIC is aware that some powerful Christians are now trying to bury the case. We are also amused by the paucity of reportage for the incident in spite of its serious implications and eye-opening value. Osun State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Oba of Ikonifin have been manipulated as parties attempting to sweep the case under the carpet. The implications of a Boko Haram ‘attack’ on a church in Yorubaland is better imagined than experienced. Muslims generally would have been the ones to suffer if this grand conspiracy had succeeded. Security agents would have picked up many Muslim leaders. Yoruba militant groups like the Odua Peoples Congress (OPC) would have pounced on the Hausa communities in the South-West for a pound of flesh. It has happened before. It can happen again. May Allah forbid evil speculations. Christians in Yorubaland would have started attacking their Muslim neighbours, burning mosques and properties of Muslims. MURIC seizes this opportunity to alert the Federal Government, the Senate, the House of Representatives, delegates in the ongoing National Conference, the Inspector General of Police and the Director General of the State Security Services (SSS). The whole world must know that this is exactly how some Christians have been roping Muslims unjustly and labeling them as terrorists. There may be more of such plans.

CALL ON OSUN STATE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE: In particular, we charge the Commissioner of Police in Osun State to do the needful. The law must be allowed to take its full course and quickly too. Justice delayed is justice denied. Pastor Olatoke has disturbed the peace of Osun State and if we want peace in the state, he and his fellow trouble-makers must be dealt with according to the law in order to serve as deterrent to others. False alarm is a criminal offence and this problem must be nipped in the bud because it is election year in Osun State.

APPEAL TO MUSLIMS: We appeal to all Muslims to remain calm and law-abiding. We call on Muslims not to judge the rest of Nigerian Christians by the attitude of Pastor Olatoke. We implore you to continue to love and tolerate your neighbours. Allah created the world for love and peace and gave us Islam as the religion of peace. We urge you to intensify your prayers for peace to return to Nigeria. Pray that Allah should expose all those behind the Boko Haram saga in Northern Nigeria. Pray against the spread of this social cankerworm to other parts of Nigeria. Pray for a peaceful 2014 election in Osun State.

KIDNAPPED CHIBOK GIRLS: MURIC appeals to the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, to set the Chibok girls and all other captive females free. We call on the Federal Government to continue the process of negotiation for the kidnapped girls until their freedom is secured. We also understand the latest decision of the Nigerian military not to attempt to rescue the kidnapped girls in a daring raid. It is clear enough now that any attempt to forcefully free the girls may result in a national catastrophe. The number involved is too high. The possibility of high casualty among the girls in case of a raid is therefore very high. No responsible government will allow it.

APPEAL FOR PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE: MURIC seizes this opportunity to appeal to Nigerians of different backgrounds and culture to rekindle their passion for peaceful coexistence, neighbourliness, forgiveness, love and tolerance. These are the golden values and true teachings of Christianity and Islam. We are prepared to live peacefully with our neighbours regardless of their faith. We therefore call on all Nigerians to reject any attempt by rabble-rousers like Pastor Olatoke to cause mayhem by demonizing Muslims.

SPECIAL APPEAL TO THE PRESS: MURIC appreciates the sacrifices being made by the Fourth Estate of the Realm particularly in these difficult times. We regard the media as powerful partners whose role can make or mar the entire process. We therefore charge you to discharge your duties with utmost sense of patriotism and responsibility. MURIC advocates that the press should create a level playing ground for all religious groups. A situation where the press catches pneumonia when the leaders of a certain religious group cough whereas a news blackout is placed on the leaders of another group is highly unethical. It does not portray our press as professional. We advise against incitement of one religious .

GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN, GCFRPRESIDENT, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIAMAY 29, 2014 Fellow Nigerians, 1.   I greet and felicitate with you all, today, as we mark 15 years of uninterrupted democratic governance in our beloved country.  2.  Our dear nation, Nigeria, has certainly come a long way and made notable progress since our first Democracy Day on May 29, 1999 when the military finally relinquished power and handed over to a democratically-elected government, marking the true beginning of a government of the people, by the people, for the people. ”3.  Although I have ordered a low-key commemoration of this year’s Democracy Day in deference to the current mood of the nation, there can be no doubt that the past 15 years, the longest period of sustained democratic governance in our country, have been a blessing to us, as a people. 4.  As we commemorate 15 years of our Fourth Republic today therefore, I believe that it is fitting that we pay tribute once again to all those who played a part in restoring our nation to the true path of democratic governance, built on the foundations of rule of law and freedom of expression. 5.  As a result of our collective efforts since 1999, democratic governance is now entrenched in our nation and institutions. I wholeheartedly believe that our people are the better for it. The scope of fundamental rights and liberties enjoyed by our people over the past 15 years has been expanded beyond measure. 6.  On my watch, we have witnessed high national economic growth rates, steady improvements and expansion of national infrastructure including airports and roads, the restoration of rail transportation, the efficient implementation of a roadmap for improved power supply, a revolutionary approach to agricultural production, as well as advances in education, sports, youth development, healthcare delivery, housing, water supply and other social services. 7.  In the oil and gas sector, our promotion of a sustainable local content policy, continues to guarantee equity and better opportunities for Nigerian entrepreneurs and skilled personnel. 8. Significant increase in mobile telephone and national broadband penetration, making Information and Communications Technology (ICT) one of the fastest growing sectors of the Nigerian economy.  We have also developed strong financial markets and regulatory institutions. Our banks now have regional and global footprints. 9.  Nigeria has also gained recognition as the largest economy in Africa, the most preferred investment destination in the continent and in terms of returns on investment, the fourth in the world. We are pleased that the world has noticed, as global leaders converged in Abuja early this month for the World Economic Forum in Africa.  10.               The event not only witnessed a record attendance, it brought the prospect of an additional flow of investment into the Nigerian economy estimated at over $68 billion over the next few years.  11.                 In foreign relations, our country has equally done well within this period, by establishing and strengthening strong partnerships with all ECOWAS countries and the rest of the world. This has helped to deepen Nigeria’s leadership role in multilateral institutions including the United Nations.  12.                Furthermore, under this administration, we have made consistent progress in improving the standard of elections in our country to ensure that they are ever more credible and truly representative of the people’s free choice. The National Conference we initiated to deliberate and make recommendations on the best ways of resolving our current political and socio-economic challenges is on-going. It is our expectation that its outcomes will help to further consolidate the gains we have made from democracy in the past 15 years, and place our dear nation even more firmly on the path to greatness. Dear Compatriots,  13.                It is a sad fact that as I address you today, all the gains of the past 15 years of democratic governance in our country are threatened by the presence of international terrorism on our shores. Our dear country, Nigeria is facing a new challenge. A war has been unleashed on us. Extremist foreign elements, collaborating with some of our misguided citizens, are focused on an attempt to bring down our country and the democracy and freedom we cherish and celebrate today.  14.                The despicable abduction of school girls from Chibok in Borno State has brought to the awareness of the entire world, the heartless brutality of these terrorists who want to instigate a descent into anarchy and balkanize our nation.  15.                In recent years, terrorist attacks have claimed the lives of several of our compatriots, many have been  injured or maimed, whole villages and communities have been destroyed and the economy of some of our states  is in jeopardy. 16.                There can be no doubt that what we are witnessing in Nigeria today is a manifestation of the same warped and ferocious world view that brought down the Twin Towers in New York, killed innocent persons in Boston and led to the murder of defenceless people in the Southern Russian city of Volgograd. Terrorist activities have brought war and pains to Mali, Somalia, Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan. These agents of evil continue to brainwash and incite ignorant young men and women to attack the innocent. We cannot allow this to continue. 17.                I welcome the statements of solidarity from patriotic citizens and the global community in support of our efforts to stamp out terrorism. I applaud the understanding that in a democracy, such as we are building, people can have differences while sharing worthy values and standing together in opposition to the scourge of terrorism. Nigeria is the only country we have and we must all work to preserve it for present and future generations. 18.               Despite the challenges we face, we must commend our security forces. We must not forget their gallantry and successes in liberating nations and in peacekeeping, from Liberia to Sierra Leone,  Congo, Sudan, Mali, Guinea-Bissau and many places in Africa and beyond. Our forces have paid the supreme price in several places at several times. 19.                Today, they face a different challenge, an unconventional war by terrorists. They are adjusting and are being equipped to tackle the new menace of terrorism. We must show confidence in their ability. I have no doubt that, with the support of Nigerians, our neighbours and the international community, we will reinforce our defence, free our girls and rid Nigeria of terrorists. 20.              It is now 45 days since the horrifying abduction of the college girls of Chibok. I share the deep pain and anxiety of their parents and guardians and I assure them once again that government will continue to do everything possible to bring our daughters home. 21.                I am determined to protect our democracy, our national unity and our political stability, by waging a total war against terrorism. The unity and stability of our country, and the protection of lives and property are non-negotiable. I have instructed our security forces to launch a full-scale operation to put an end to the impunity of terrorists on our soil. 22.               I have also authorized the security forces to use any means necessary under the law to ensure that this is done. I assure you that Nigeria will be safe again, and that these thugs will be driven away – it will not happen overnight, but we will spare no effort to achieve this goal. 23.               For our citizens who have joined hands with Al Qaeda and international terrorists in the misguided belief that violence can possibly solve their problems, our doors remain open to them for dialogue and reconciliation, if they renounce terrorism and embrace peace. 24.               My government, while pursuing security measures, will explore all options, including readiness to accept unconditional renunciation of violence by insurgents, and to ensure their de-radicalization, rehabilitation and re-integration into the broader society. Dear Compatriots, 25.               We must remain united to win the war against terrorism. Christians, Moslems, farmers, fishermen, herdsmen, teachers, lawyers, clergy or clerics, the rich, the poor and Nigerians from all sections of the country must work together with our security agencies and armed forces to overcome the terrorists who now threaten all that we hold dear. 26.               The war against terror may be difficult, but the days of peace will come again. Terror is evil; nowhere in history has evil endured forever. The menace of Boko Haram will surely come to an end. I believe that because of your prayers, your courage, hardwork, faith and sacrifice, we will ultimately prevail over the terrorists and all other evil forces. 27.               We are a strong, resilient and courageous people.  We will continue to partner with the civilized world, to confront international terrorism and every other challenge that comes our way with patriotic zeal and determination.Fellow Nigerians,  28.              Yes, we have challenges but we will surely overcome. Nigeria is our country. Nigeria is blessed. We will all collectively protect, defend and develop this country for ourselves, and our children.  29.               Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.  30.              Thank you and God bless Nigeria.
