According to LIB,Chelsea fan, Lee Mitchell wrote on his twitter page on Sunday January 5th that he will tattoo Mikel's name or Chelsea badge on his butt if the Chelsea midfielder scored against Derby in the FA Cup. Fatal Motor Accident On Third Mainland Bridge.

 

This accident occurred  Tuesday January 7th on 3rd Mainland Bridge, at least one person was left dead. The accident involved a Black Prado SUV (pictured above) that reportedly lost its tyres while on high speed. Two people were in the car at the time of the accident, with one of them reportedly dying on the spot. The other passenger is in critical condition in the hospital. The accident caused heavy traffic on both lanes several hours ago.

Nigerian Boxer, Bash Ali To Take Nigeria Into Guinness Book of World Records

Cruiserweight boxer Bash Ali on Tuesday in Abuja said his 7 years of struggle to enter his name in the Guinness Book has almost become a reality.

He mentioned this after the Minister of Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi, inaugurated the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the Bash Ali Guinness Book of World Records Title Fight Project.



It would be recalled that Ali had since 2006 been appealing to the Federal Government to stage the fight.

He used to say that the fight would take him and his country Nigeria into the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest boxer to feature in a world title fight.

The boxer felt very excited about the fact, saying,

“I feel great. My struggle for seven years has come to reality.Sometimes, a disappointment can be a blessing in disguise. Because, if I had fought seven years ago, it is possible that somebody by now may have broken the record. So, I will be fighting at the age of 58, which means in this century or in the next, whoever that will have to break the record must be at least 60 years.”

Ali promised to beat his opponent and to shock the boxing world on the day of the fight.

Bash Ali will take on Rick Camlin, a 32-year-old International Boxing Union (IBU) champion.

Ghanaian Minister Congratulates Nadia Buari On The Success Of Her Movie, ‘Diary of Imogen Brown’

Ghana's celebrated movie star, Nadia Buari, successfully premiered her first self-produced movie titled 'Diary of Imogen Brown' across three regions of Ghana.

In Accra, she was able to invite lots of dignitaries, including; Hon Collins Dauda – Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing. Hon Dauda showed a very noble interest in the movie and sent a congratulatory message to Jim Ike and Nadia Buari for their wonderful performance in the movie, a day after the premier.

In a separate chat with the Hon Minister, he revealed that, he was invited to the premiere by Nadia Buari and Jim Ike. After examining the theme of the movie which talks about the effects of 'hard' drugs usage, he gave them his words to attend the premier.

He revealed that, though he's not a fan of movie premieres, he did not regret attending the premiere because the end product of the movie is perfect; which best fits the African cinema.

Talking about the state of West African films, he said that the Ghanaian films are his favorite movies and thus, he watches them a lot. He really appreciates the efforts of Ghanaian filmmakers.

C/SUPT Hamza Yakubu, Commanding Officer of Police (F.P.U) also added his voice by saying, 'I like the creativity with which the film is narrated. It's a memorable life guide for the youth and also very inspiring."

'Diary of Imogen Brown,' which features the likes of Soraya Mensah, Heba Khaled, Kevin Boateng, Prince Mingles, Beatrice Dadson, Jim Iyke and Nadia and was premiered at the Accra International Conference Centre, Takoradi at Akroma Plaza and In Kumasi at the Golden Tulip Hotel. 'Diary of Imogen Brown' is a Nadia Sidiku Buari Production.

Renowned Actor, Saint Obi says people should continue to give President Goodluck Jonathan the chance to steer the affairs of the country.

The Actor cum business man stated this in a recent interview with 'Yes magazine'.


The 'candle light' soap opera star said, "People castigate me for supporting him, but I make no apologies. To me, President Goodluck Jonathan is a project of hope, a mission for justice, equity and fair play. I will forever stand with the oppressed, the marginalized. President Goodluck Jonathan, without a doubt is a good man that means well for all Nigerians, but dark forces are bent on crippling his Presidency."

"Politics goes beyond dog eat dog. It is a game of master chess players. Swimming against a 20 feet ocean wave is an act in futility. Ask Mallam Balarabe Musa, former Governor of old Kaduna State; a great Nigerian that meant well for his people, but he got consumed by forces beyond him. Above all, he got impeached based on the principles of democracy: majority will always have their way. All the good things he wanted to do for the good people of Kaduna State, gone. President Goodluck Jonathan's detractors paint him as weak; on the contrary, he is a very strong and smart man." he further said.

On why he has not been featuring in movies of recent he said, “well, as you journey through life, you get to a point where you ask yourself some tough but radical questions. I sat down, and had my usual rare deep one on one with God and decided to take a break from the entertainment industry. The splash a diver makes at low diving level is far less than when the dive is from a higher plane. I decided it was time to take a very deep dive into the next level of my career, business strategies and objectives. “I thought I was in a loving relationship, I mean it was all fun until the beatings started and then got worse…and I just couldn’t let go because I was emotionally confused. This is the same man that touches me lovingly, caters for my needs and calls me baby yet beats me up.

Outrage Over Jude Okoye’s Gun Display On The Internet

It came as a rude shock to many followers of Jude Okoye, music video director and senior brother to music superstar, P-Square, when he posted his picture with three pistols and some bullets on the internet last night Monday, 6 January.


Jude, also known as Engees, seemingly trying to act like a gangster, unabashedly posted the offensive picture with a message on the microblogging site with a handle @judeengees: "F..k with me cos u know I got 'em."

The post which has attracted over 230 likes by this morning, also has many commentators chiding Jude, who ought to be a role model rather engaging in brazen display of such shameful act.

And we observed that hours after many pleaded with him to take down the offensive post, Jude remained adamant as he left the picture that keeps attracting comments both negative and otherwise.

"I suggest you take down this photo. You're not sending the right message to youths out there. With you being a celeb. Real shame!" wrote one follower with handle @Kveeeeeee.

Another follower @alextobechi who in agreement with @Kveeeeeeee simply said: "I'm disappointed in you Jude."

To @Sugarcherry2, the music stars' brother is stealthily promoting gangsterism: "Hehehehe Tupac and Biggie…Pls Jude don't start a war biko."

A follower by name Mor Sene with handle @yuseemi was more worried and told the award-winning director: "Don't start this s**t in Nigeria you F***tard…You might have it but don't show it…Lord knows when pics like this would start becoming a trend in Nigeria…"

He continued: "That's exactly where I guess the bad influence will start spreading to the masses to make this 'bad influential pic like' this in Nigeria trend."

And @Alashock was a bit acerbic: "Height of shamelessness if you think this is a show off…Stupid American wannabe…Even when the supposed advanced country (America) is currently campaigning for gun control. Insecurity of the highest order from Judeengees."

For a follower, Nelson Ebuka with handle @boinero, he believes Jude's access to excessive cash could be responsible to this misdemeanour: "Too much money dey disturb you…U need a cognitive therapy….Remember God fit take d fame and money in minute. Even American artists never try dis one," he stated.

Temitayo Ogunseye described Jude's action as "sheer stupidity at its peak".
There are others who are calling for investigation into this act by Jude whether he has right to threaten anyone with guns on the social media whether he is legally or illegally in possession of the firearm.

Jude is gradually gaining not too good reputation with some of his posts on the social media. Recently, he alongside his twin brothers flaunted wads of foreign cash while aboard a private jet.
