Obiano Donates Patrol Cars To Police To Enhance Security.




Anambra State governor, Willie Obiano has donated 25 advanced patrol cars to the Police in the state to help in the fight against criminal activities in the state.
According to Obiano, “We have entered a new phase in the pursuit of security in Anambra State. These cars are modeled after the Rapid Response cars used by the police in the United States of America. The mere appearance of these cars gives a strong warning of the resolve of my administration to free our people from the fear of criminals for good.”

Stealing: Adamawa Ex-Finance Commissioner Jailed 10 Years.





A former Commissioner for Finance and Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Adamawa state during Boni Haruna’s administration, John Elias has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment without option of fine by a Federal High Court sitting in Yola, presided over by Justice Bilkisu Bello Aliyu.
The judge on Friday also ordered the Corporate Affairs Commission to shut down his company, ALHAKIM NIGERIA LIMITED as well as pay the state sum of N51.5 million which he stole while he held sway in office.

Any Governor That Cannot Pay Salary Should Resign, Says Ex-NLC Vice President





A former Vice President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Issa Aremu, has declared that any of the 36 States Governors who cannot pay the minimum wage of N18, 000 to workers, have no business remaining in office.
Aremu, who is the General Secretary, National Union of Textile Garment Workers of Nigeria (NUTGWN), said such governors have no reason to be in the business of governance, hence, they should resign.
