TRENDING: ‘They won’t come out to vote’ — Nigerians react to crowd at BBNaija auditions

The Big Brother Naija 2019 auditions is ongoing in various parts of the country and will continue on Saturday, February 2.
This is the first time the reality TV show will be hosted in Lagos and there has been an outpour of people hoping to scale through auditions to become housemates.

Nigerians took to the social media platform to express their opinions from various perspectives.

BBNaija 2019 Audition Venues and Locations Have been Revealed. From Lagos, Abuja, Calabar, Benin, Enugu and 3 other states.

Big Brother Naija is back for its 2019 Edition… and we expect more drama than the previous editions. One thing to note that, the show is now proudly sponsored by Bet9ja.

Note: You have to be a Nigerian Citizen & 21 years or older… You must have your Nigerian International Passport with you, while going for the audition.

Big Brother Naija returns after 2019 elections

The last two editions of Big Brother Naija reality show kicked off in January, but for some reason there's been an unusual silence about the show this year.
LIB reports that the show has been put on hold due to the forthcoming general elections in February.
A highly placed source at Payporte (the official sponsors of the reality show) confirmed to LIB that, 'Big Brother will still hold but because its a political year, we can't really control to what extent what the housemates will say in the house and we dont want it to become a tool that will heat up the polity'.
The source went on to add that, 'the show itself normally gets twisted so we don't want to mix it up with politics in anyway. Its supposed to be entertaining, we wouldn't want it to be divisive in anyway. If you notice, no religious activity gets discussed in the house too, if you want to pray you can pray, we don't want anyone to be forced to do it or divide Nigerians along those lines. So after the elections and inaugurations, it'll happen'.
The last edition of the show kicked off on January 28, 2018 and wrapped up in April with Miracle Ikechukwu emerging winner of the hotly contested reality show.

Celebrity stylist and entreprenuer, Toyin Lawani has unfollowed Big Brother Naija star, Nina for ‘running back’ to winner of the reality show, Miracle, after she got dumped publicly on Instagram.

A quick check on Instagram, revealed that Toyin Lawani who is Nina’s benefactor is no longer following the reality show star.
Recall that we reported that Toyin Lawani who bought Nina a car after the reality show, joined other Nigerians to call out Big Brother Naija 2018 winner, Miracle for dumping Nina who he was romantically linked to publicly.

Speed Darlington Protests Against BBNaija For Using Song ‘BangDadaDan’ Without Pay

Nigerian/American singer, Speed Darlington has taken to the streets of New York to protest against Big Brother Naija for playing his song ‘Bangdadadang’ during the saturday night party without paying him.
According to him, he should be paid for since he makes no money as an independent artist


He shared the protest video, and said;
“I hear bbnaija is using bangdadadang and they gave me no money… they’re using my music for free without penny in my pocket”
“All of you at my palace tonight. I want to know if it’s true that someone is milking independent artist like me? Knowing very well I make no money from music. Anytime you play my music on radio or TV I got to get paid.”

BBA winner, Uti Nwachukwu identifies Cee-C as real ‘Double Wahala’ housemate in #BBNaija 2018

Winner of Big Brother Africa (BBA) All Stars edition, Uti Nwachukwu, has revealed that controversial Big Brother Naija housemate, Cee-c is the real ‘Double Wahala’.

The Tv host said the drama Cee-c provides for the house is real, adding that he loves it.

Sharing a picture of Cee-c, Uti Nwachuwu on Instagram, wrote, ”This girl Shaaaa.

”The real Double Wahala…I pray she enters finale, Love her Drama.”




Recalls that former Big Brother Africa housemate, Pokello Nare, had also hailed Cee-c, describing the Anambra-born housemate as the real ‘Double Wahala’ and a force to reckon with.
Pokello said this after Cee-c emerged with the second highest votes during last Sunday’s eviction.

M-Net West Africa has announced that the third season its popular reality television show, Big Brother Naija, will start Sunday, January 28.

The show will premiere with a special two-hour episode on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 29.

M-Net had earlier announced media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, as the host.
Auditions for third edition of Big Brother Naija were held late last year in six locations across Nigeria drawing massive crowds.
In the last edition, Efe Ejeba won the coveted N25million prize money and SUV after three months in the house.
Bisola Aiyeola, an actress and singer, was the first runner-up.

This time, the winner will take home N45million worth of prizes.x

Controversial ex-housemate of Big Brother Nigeria, Gifty, took to Instagram to disclose how another housemate, Uriel was adorable and has a true heart but a Tboss fan wanted none of that and came for her.

The Tboss fan accused Gifty of disliking Tboss and trying so hard to compete with her but Gifty would have none of it and clapped back at her.

She told the lady to quit being an errand girl because it sucks. She further told her that she hopes that her boss pays her with love, and not with pride.

“Eleme Princess” who accused Marvis of Impersonation deletes her Instagram page

Yesterday, a little drama played out after a lady accused BBNaija star, Marvis of not belonging to the true royal family of the Eleme Kingdom.

The accuser took to her Facebook page to accuse Marvis of impersonation.

Apparently, there has been a tussle over the rulership of the kingdom by Marvis’ family and Dorathy’s family, as both fathers hold claim to the throne. and have since gone to court for redress.

Dorothy on her Facebook page, shared a document claiming to be from the state government recognising her father as the ruler of the Eleme kingdom. She and her Sisters have since yesterday, been dragging Marvis, accusing her of impersonating them, the supposed real Princesses of Eleme Kingdom.

The accusation of course came few days after Marvis was welcome dhome like a Princess that she is, with about 50 cars convoy welcoming the Big Brother Star to her hometown!

In response to the accuser’s rant, fans of Marvis trooped in numbers to give it to her accuser HOT. They bullied her to the extent she had to change her handle, then she tried to explain that she isn’t jealous of Marvis.. But her explanation fell on deaf ears.. and the dragging continued

She was forced to delete her Instagram account after the intense heat!

Efe visits P-Square’s Banana Island mansion

Big Brother Naija winner Efe Michael Ejemba paid the Okoye Twins, Peter and Paul popularly known to the entertainment industry as P-squared a visit at their Banana Island mansion in Ikoyi area of Lagos.
This recent development comes in view of his tour around Nigeria and the brothers, who were happy with his visit, took to Instagram to share photos of the ex-housemate in their house.
