RMD Celebrates His 56th birthday, Shares His Success Story (Photo)

Nigerian actor and former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State, Richard Mofe-Damijo, popular called RMD who turns 56 years old today has taken to Instagram with excitement to share his story and thank God for his life.
He shared a picture of himself pointing to an artwork with inscriptions, ‘made in warri’.
He wrote:

Patoranking’s “Nobody wey nor fit to make am o” is the apt theme song for my life as I celebrate my 56th birthday today. From Welfare Road Warri, Delta State to the Silver Screen, it’s been an often times surreal experience that anyone who has made it from a similar place of obscurity can relate to. I believe my journey, like most journeys to greatness usually start from self belief. It’s hard for me to believe I have done 34 years post graduation. There’s been struggles, uncertainties, living abroad seeking greener pastures, returning home, businesses have risen, flourished and some fallen.
There’s been a marriage, a painful death, another blessed marriage, joyous births and more academic pursuits and degrees. There’s been my sojourn in government for 8 years, the birth of my precious grandchildren and the return that was first scary till I felt the overwhelming love and support of my ever growing fan base. What a journey. What a packed 56years. I am indeed grateful and thankful. No, I didn’t wake up like this (as RMD), No, I didn’t always know that I would “make it”. It’s been Faith, Hard work, Self development and more work. But above all I have been more graced than my efforts could ever have done which is why in this journey, God is my ride or die and today I return all the glory to Him.

Floyd Mayweather Set To Fight Thin Tall Tony In Lagos

Legendary World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Floyd Mayweather, will feature in the June 13 Lagos charity fight against former Big Brother Naija (BBN) housemate, Triple T, an official confirmed in Lagos on Wednesday.

Donatus Okonkwo, the Chairman, Zzini Media, promoters of the event, said Floyd would engage Triple T in the charity match scheduled for the Civic Centre, Lagos.

“The boxing match between Floyd and Triple T is a charity-focused event that will bring under one roof entertainers and sportspeople.

“Having Floyd Mayweather in Nigeria is a privilege and we are going to do everything possible to ensure that his presence impacts the lives of the people particularly the less privileged.

“Hosting such an event that connects our youths with global icons will boost their morale that will in turn help them channel their strength in the right direction,” he said.

On his part, Triple T, said he was in “high spirit” and boasted that he would defeat the boxing legend in the first round of the bout.

He said: “Nobody gets beaten in his home; so, I am going to make history by defeating the champion with a few punches.”

Zzini Media will be hosting famous world boxing champion and boss of The Money Team (TTT), Floyd Joy Mayweather Jr, in Nigeria and Ghana for his hospitality and mentoring tour.

The African tour which is billed to kick off from June 12 to June 14, will include Federal Capital Territory, Lagos, Akwa Ibom and Anambra States after which the next point of call will be in Accra, Ghana.

The charity is co-sponsored by Zzini Media, Reload, MTN and TMT.

We crossed paths 2 or 3 times since 2012, but I wasn't paying enough attention. Destiny was staring me right in the face and I was too caught up in my own hustle and paper chase, to know it. In June 2015 however, God brought you my way again, and this time, I really SAW you.'

' I was smitten by your grace, aura, and beauty. So smitten infact, that even though I didn't get to say a word to you that day (because you were seated far across the room), I immediately called my best friend @captdemuren and told him I'd found my next girlfriend. LOL. He laughed. 

I asked one or two people about you.. your manager Isioma, who I'd worked with previously, and then I did some research myself. Googled you, stalked your Instagram.. the whole 9 yards, and the more I found out, the more you seemed like a breath of fresh air.'

Now, I personally don't like being "hooked up", so I decided to approach you myself by sliding into your DM a few days later. Introduced myself, made some silly attempts to make you laugh, told you I planned to become your biggest fan, and asked if we could be friends. I’ve photographed Shade Okoya for over ten years. I love this woman. She absolutely understands where I’m trying to go with the images and she actively works alongside the whole time as if she wasn’t the client..an amazing collaborator. This is one shoot where I never need a stylist..she knows what works..she just does.
For her 40th portrait I looked for interesting ways to pay homage to some of the strong images I had made of her in the past. The red outfit that seemed to float over the furniture was a mimic of the portrait I made of her years ago in water with fabric floating around her.
The gold outfit with the net was a remake of portraits I made at her wedding.We brought in some interesting jewelry she designed her self from the day as well.. amazing ..It was fun finding new ways to revisit old themes .

This is what growing up is about .. owning ALL our experiences .. the lessons we’ve learnt..our triumphs and even our failures.. ..growing up means wearing them as badges..knowing we earned who we’ve become .. Beautifully growing up means wearing them as crowns.. celebrating the journey .. This beautiful woman celebrates her 40th birthday today.Im taking this opportunity to celebrate her kindness .
A few months ago..I had mentioned in conversation that a friend of mine who stayed not too far from her was ill. Shade called back to get her number…got her address and organized meals for her twice a day..everyday..I don’t even know how long this went on.. For someone she had never met. Ubi Franklin 'gives up hope’ of reuniting with Lilian Esoro, removes 'Husband' from his Instagram profile

It seems Ubi Franklin and Lilian Esoro's marriage is finally over.

There has been reports that the label record boss has been making efforts to reunite with the actress, but it seems he has given up hope and finally decided to move on.

The Triple MG boss has deleted almost all the photos on his Instagram page, leaving only those he took with their son, Jayden.

He then followed it up by editing his bio, removing 'Husband' from his profile description, leaving only "Father, Mentor, Investor, Christ Advocate. CEO Made Men Music

The speculations about their breakup started late last year when Ubi celebrated their first wedding anniversary but the actress refused to acknowledge the day.

Esoro was often spotted without her wedding ring and later she unfollowed Ubi on Instagram and refuse to promote the restaurant he allegedly got her.

In December, the MMMG boss shared a wistful note about attending his church’s annual event alone and days later, the actress dropped his name ‘Ubi’ from her social media handles.

When they both stepped out for the first time since the breakup rumour at the Dunes charity event in Abuja, the company whose brand Esoro promotes as an ambassador in February, fans were awash with relief.

However, it seems the music boss has finally moved on. He also liked a comment today from an avid fan thanking him for closing Esoro’s chapter, confirming the speculation that he has finally moved on.
